Hala

After a rather intense night of pleasuring an annoyed Cynthia, we made our way over to Iki Town, where the Kahuna of Melemele Island lived.

Lusamine had told us as much as she could about the man;

His name was Hala, and he had been the Kahuna for quite a long time, as both his battling skills and ability to efficiently manage the island guaranteed his status quite easily.

Besides that, we learned that he was a fighting type Kahuna/Gym Leader...

Which meant that, if this wasn't already going to be easy enough for me, now it was a pure cakewalk.

I mean...

Hecate is already a pure monster with Psychic alone...

Add on any other weakness the Pokemon Hala uses might have, and I can't think of an easier battle for myself.

Of course, it's easy for Cynthia too; her Garchomp knows Aerial Ace, and with a singular Dragon Dance...

Easy sweep for both of us.

I wasn't really thinking any of these battles would be difficult; after all, Cynthia and I grew up in, arguably, one of the most cutthroat battle regions of our time.

Though that was also mainly BECAUSE of us...

Anyways~

Entering Iki Town, we were greeted with the sight of a dozen some odd cute wooden tropical homes, the sloped thatch roofs decorated with hanging ornaments.

Situated in the middle of the town was a raised wooden stage, where a tall, rotund older man stood, his tanned ski contrasting the blinding yellow robe he wore.

His white hair was pulled into a topknot, and standing in front of him were three small Pokemon.

One was a black and red cat-like Pokemon, lazily lounging on the wooden stage.

Beside it was a round, tan and green owl, happily bouncing from foot to foot as it stared up at the man.

Finally, a dark blue seal clapped its two flippers together before staring at us, letting out a playful bark.

Turning, the tanned elderly man grinned as he saw us, letting out a booming "Alola!"

Cynthia gave him a wry smile, while Lusamine nodded deeply.

Mirroring our newest wife, I stared at the young girl behind Hala, who was looking at us curiously.

She was tall and petite, wearing a tight pair of white shorts and a red crop top, proudly displaying her flat stomach. Her bob cut of brown hair was nestled underneath a red beanie, and an elaborate bracelet was on her wrist.

Ignoring her for now, we approached the Kahuna and bowed slightly, Cynthia getting straight to the point.

"You're Kahuna Hala, correct? We're here for the trial."

Staring at the blonde champion beside me, Hala grinned as he nodded, rolling up his sleeve to reveal a surprisingly strong arm.

"Haha! I never thought I would be facing the Undefeated Champion of Sinnoh! Nor would I be facing her Shadow as well! Haha!"

The jolly man grinned some more before turning to the girl, saying "Selene, we'll continue in a few moments! For now, watch this Grand Trial!"

The girl, Selene, nodded at Hala before jumping off the stage, the three Pokemon following behind her.

Noting that the girl was actually quite the eye candy, I smirked lightly before turning to Cynthia, who was frowning.

"Who gets to go first?"

Rolling my eyes at her, I shrugged as I said "Does it matter?"

Frowning again, she sighed before shaking her head, only to smirk as she leaned over and said "Fine, ladies first~"

Raising a brow at her, I rolled my eyes again as she hopped off the stage, Lusamine following behind her.

"Miss Veritan, correct? You're quite famous as well; renowned even over here in Alola as a magnificent battler and trainer! Come, let's battle!"

Saying so, he tossed out a regular Pokeball, revealing a tall, brown and pink bear.

Staring at it in mild confusion, I wondered how such an... odd creature managed to survive as it stared dopily at me, before shrugging.

Retrieving my custom ball, I revealed my long time partner Hecate, making Hala grin as he saw the shiny Gardevoir.

"So it's true! What a rare specimen!"

Nodding, I saw Hecate stare at the bear in confusion as well, glancing back at me as if asking 'What is that thing?'

Chuckling, I asked "Ready?"

"Haha! I was born ready! Come! Bewear, Shadow Claw!"

Seeing the giant bears left paw get shrouded in a dark violet haze, I sighed before saying "Hecate, Calm Mind..."

Smirking, the crimson Gardevoir leaned back to dodge the bears swipe, her head shimmering.

"Psychic!"

Her eyes flared, and the space around the Bewear shimmered, only for the large pink and brown bear to drop to the ground, limp.

Hala's grin froze for a moment, wondering just how a special attacker avoided a fighting types move, but...

Well, Ishtar can be quite a bitchy bunny during our training sessions, so Hecate's gotten used to avoiding physical attacks.

Placing Bewear back into his ball, Hala stared at me seriously before tossing out his next Pokemon.

"Primeape! Bulk Up, then-"

The bulky ball of fur and muscle was lifted into the air and slammed back down, making me glare at Hecate.

She simply shrugged her shoulders, uncaring that, as usual, she wanted the battles over with quickly, which meant...

Not giving the opponent a chance to even get a move out.

Honestly, such a problematic partner~

Sighing, I watched as Hecate activated another Calm Mind making Hala blanch.

"P-Poliwrath!"

"Thunder."

Without even blinking, I watched as a gray cloud appeared above us, a giant bolt of lightning crossing down on the very confused, and now very charred, Poliwrath.

Kinda felt bad for him...

Next, Hala sent out two Pokemon at once, "Hariyama! Crabominable!"

What appeared were a tall, round dumpling with giant hands, and a weird, white furred crab with long, long claws.

Both were frozen in fear as Hecate raised a brow, one hand glowing crimson and coated in flames, while the other radiated gently pink light.

"Moonblast and Flamethrower?"

Hecate nodded, and what happened next...

Well, I may have just broken a few laws in peace loving regions...

A silver orb flashed out towards the Hariyama, exploding into a harsh pink light, shrouding the dumpling in a thick haze.

As for the ice fur crab thing, it was being barbecued thoroughly by roaring orange flames.

Hala went slightly slack, his eyes glazed over as he watched Hecate brush her hands clean, only to willingly return to her ball.

"C-Congratulations..."

Stumbling over to me, the once confident man seemed hollow as he handed me a stamp and a brown crystal, only to shiver as Cynthia said "Cool, I'm up next."

"N-No need! R-Really! H-Here, take it!"

Shoving the stamp and crystal into her hands, Hala ran off towards the out of place white and red building, likely wanting to make sure Hecate hadn't done serious harm to them.

Staring at one another, Cynthia and I frowned before sighing, while Lusamine was completely dumbstruck.

"W-What in the hells..."

Smirking at her, Cynthia nodded, throwing her arm around my shoulder.

"Yup, Hecate right? Yeah, Hecate's a bitch to face... Her stats are a little... well, a lot too high actually... overall in the sevens right?"

I nodded, saying "I think the last time we had her measured, her lowest stat was her physical attack at... what was it... ah, 180."

Shaking her head, Cynthia was about to say something when I glared at her, saying "Isn't Garchomps lowest like 200?"

"Yeah...."

"Wha..? H-How?! T-Thats... LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE!?"

We shrugged, before turning to look at the young girl who approached.

"Uhm... you're Cynthia and Milan, right?"
