109. Separation and Reunion

Sandra kept turning in her bed. She can't seem to find sleep, thus, in the end, she abruptly sat up straight and grabbed a pillow. She went down from the bed, pushed the door to the balcony, and sat on the balustrade, hugging the pillow she brought.

It's been so long since she made that habit again. Climbing on top of the balcony railings while staring at the starless night sky. She always had that urge whenever she had something she was brooding about back in the Holy Nation.

Unlike most people, she preferred the sky void of any stars. It helps clear her mind, which was currently occupied by the last conversation she had with the Saintess.

'I will ask Mona to come back to the Holy Nation with me. You should come with her, Cass…'

When Eli took Mona away before they departed in the Wynzel's duchy, she knew she already proposed the same to Mona. And she was aware that her lady would soon leave for the nation as well.

But Sandra will remain.
