CHAPTER 60

  Nate's POV

  The startled doctor composed himself quickly as I tried my best to pull Brutus's Alpha aura in that was rippling outwards from us darkly as it sought nearby victims for its suffocating embrace.

  He cleared his throat and peered at me closely, suddenly registering who I was as he straightened up considerably.

  "She's holding on, Alpha. The next 48 hours are crucial though." He advised as he scratched idly at the side of his forehead.

  "So, you won't know for sure unless she makes it through the next few days?" I pressed anxiously.

  He shook his head and sighed.

  "Judging by the fact that she is still alive after what we found inside her stab wounds…I can safely say that she is stronger than any of us would think just by looking at her." He said with a hint of pride in his voice, "I have faith that our Luna will make it, and I trust her to do what's right for her and her pups."

  I froze as his words repeated over in my head and Brutus stilled suddenly.
