My heart races as I bolt through the forest. The earth under my paws feels good. I really needed this.
I can’t even remember the last time I’ve been able to let my wolf out and really run. The timber area around the university is so small, and I was always afraid someone would see me. I would only get enough courage to go out and run in my wolf form a few times.
I dash around a tree and duck under a branch before I jump over some small rocks. The cool evening air brushes through my fur and nips at my nose. For the first time in months, my mind is blank and I’m at ease.
I don’t have to worry about not letting my wolf out and run anymore. Plus, there is so much land to run around. No one is ever going to find us here.
With no worries on my mind, I let myself go as I push my paws harder against the ground and catapult myself up the side of a hill.
Ah. This is the best. This is exactly what I need to help clear my mind.
