Heidi's POV
It is Monday, and I am so excited. Today is my first day at WSA Hotel as the CEO's lady assistant. However, I feel nervous as I don't know how he looks. I hope he is not a grumpy boss.
I walk out of my room to prepare our breakfast. Once I finish it, I immediately fix my things and wear the office attire I used from my last job as a lady assistant.
"Wow, Heidi. You look so beautiful. Your boss might fall in love with you. Haha," my mom said while looking at me.
"Stop it, mom. It's not funny. I will go now. It is not good to be late on my first day, right?" I replied to her and immediately walked out.
*beep beep*
I saw Gelo waiting for me from the opposite road. I wonder if he doesn't have class today. I run across the roadway since no one is passing by and immediately hop in his car.
"What are you doing here? Don't you have any class today?" I asked him after I wore the seatbelt.
"I'll drop you first. My class is at 9 am. I still have lots of time. Don't worry about it." He replied with a smile. I just smiled at him and nodded while he started driving. We arrived at the hotel after 30 minutes.
"We're here. What time are you going to finish with your duty?" He asked. "It will be around 1 pm. Don't bother picking me up. I can go on my own. I don't want to disturb you." I replied to him. I don't want to disturb him. I know he is busy enough with his cafe and studies.
"Okay, Mills. But call me whenever you need me." He said, and I nodded at him. I smiled at him and waved my hand. I let him go first before I entered the hotel.
Ethan's POV
After I parked my car in the hotel's underground parking, I went to the first floor. I want to check every corner to be sure everything went well. I was about to drink my coffee when someone bumped into me. Luckily, it is iced coffee.
"I am so sorry, sir. I didn't see you. I will pay for the dry cleaning or tell me anything you want as compensation." she said while wiping my top. She looks familiar but anyway, I'm in a hurry, so I'll just let it go.
"It's okay. I've got a spare. Look at where you're walking next time." I said to her, I picked up my phone and called Kyle.
"Kyle, send someone to clean the lobby and prepare my spare suit." I hung up the call and immediately went to my office. I noticed that the lady who bumped me also rode the same elevator as mine.
"Excuse me, what are you doing in this elevator?" I asked her. "This is exclusive for VIPs and me," I added. I can see on her face how shocked she is.
"I am sorry, sir. It's my first time today as a lady assistant, and I am unaware of it." No wonder. She looks familiar to me because she is Heidi Mills Griffin, my new assistant. What a coincidence!
"Now you know it, don't use this elevator again unless I give you my permission. Do you understand?" She looked at me with a confused face. I forgot, she didn't see my face at the interview. "Later, you'll understand what I am saying," I said and stepped out of the elevator. My office is at the end of the hallway on the 36th floor.
"Kyle, did you prepare my suit?" I asked him after I saw him at the reception. He nods and hands over my suit. "Take care of her," I told him, leaving to change my clothes.
Heidi's POV
How unlucky I am. I hope the floor eats me to take me out of this embarrassment. Aarrgghh. I ruined my clothes, and it's fine with me, but the problem is this guy in front of me. His clothes look so expensive.
"It's okay. I've got a spare. Look at where you're walking next time." He said. I dropped my jaw, literally. So he forgives me, just like that?
After returning to my senses again, I picked up the things I dropped on the floor and immediately hopped in the elevator. It really is bad luck. I even rode the same elevator with him.
"Excuse me, what are you doing in this elevator?" He asked. I looked at him with a confused face. Isn't this for everyone? "This is exclusive for VIPs and me," He added. I was shocked.
"I am sorry, sir. It's my first time today as a lady assistant, and I am unaware of it." I didn't know there was a different elevator for VIPs, but why is he allowed to use it?
"Now you know it, don't use this elevator again unless I give you my permission. Do you understand?" I looked at him with confusion. "Later, you'll understand what I am saying," he said, leaving me alone. Really. I am baffled right now.
I checked the time, and it was 7:55 am. So I ran out of the elevator and looked for Kyle. He saw me running towards him and waved at me.
"What happened to you, Heidi?" He asked with concern. "I bumped him earlier at the lobby," I replied to him while pointing at the man who went inside the CEO's office.
Wait. CEO's office? "Kyle. Is he the...?" I asked him. He cut me with his nod and at what he said. "Yes, he is."
What a great day, Heidi. But, unfortunately, you just bumped and spilled the coffee on your new boss. So, how can I show myself with this look?
"Follow me, Heidi." I followed him to one of the locker rooms. "You can go inside. There is a black locker with a dress. You can take it and wear it." He said. "Is there anyone who owns it?" I replied.
"No one. It's just a spare for anyone who needs it. So go ahead and change your clothes now. I'll wait for you at the reception." He said and went back to his desk. I went inside the room and saw the only black locker in the corner.
I took the dress and realized how pretty it was. It is a simple black and white dress paired with black doll shoes. I quickly wore it and went back to Kyle.
Kyle led me inside the CEO's office, and I saw him again. Oh no, this is the time I meet him as my boss. Floor, please eat me right now.
"Sir, your new lady assistant is here. Ms. Heidi, please come in." Kyle said.
I saw the CEO facing his back at us when I entered. After Kyle left, he turned around. I saw his face. He is so handsome but looks dangerous. I greeted him with a bow as per Kyle. It means respect as the CEO is partly Korean.
"Ms. Heidi or I will call you Heidi. Take a seat." He said while pointing at the couch. I sat on the single side couch, and he sat on the single center couch.
"This is your job contract. Please sign it. You can see there the benefits you will receive. If you perform well at your job, we will secure your position until you graduate and make you a full-time lady assistant." He said. I read the terms of the conditions, which are better than I expected.
"Your duty is based on the availability you include on your resume. Your salary will be $4,000 per month since you are working part-time. You only have simple tasks. I only need you to comply with my requests when I need them, but you will stay at the reception with Kyle while waiting for my call. If there's any question, feel free to ask. You can sign the papers now if you don't have any questions." He added. The salary is more than I expected.
I shook my head and signed the contract. He also signed the contract as the owner of the hotel. He called Kyle and handed over the contract to make a copy and gave it to me.
"Your first thing to do is go to the lobby with me, and we will check every floor. Bring something where you can take a note." He said and left me in the office.
I immediately left my bag at the reception and followed him. I only bring my phone where I can take notes. I hope that everything goes well.
