SULUKUTU HOME OF MAKISH.

At last we had moved from the land of Litawa where the altar of the witches were erected. Now we breath the oxygen of SULUKUTU. SULUKUTU is a small oval area at the middle of the forest which takes 6 hours to walk by foot, only two villages are built in this land, because there are is too much sand, during the dry season it is difficult to find drinking water. The people in this area are Bundas and Luvale speaking people. They cultivete cassava as their main staple food. Traditionally they send their children to Mukanda for a month to circumcise them. For a month they are told many things, including how to live as a man, how to use medicine for good or bad. Mostly they are taught concerning this life. During this period of my stay in Sulukutu, makishi daily danced to entertain the people. Even if I were still sick in this land, I learnt many things about the people who lived in this area, they loved to drink beer very much. Me and my mother stayed in this land half a year. Even if was getting better they still put my legs in wooden stock. My mother was by my side, she never left me until the end. Mother I love you, may your cabin be next to me in the kingdom of God.
