The Valley

Jasper took a long journey to the supposed valley that Nicole wanted him to go to. He wanted to keep his promise to her, though he didn't have to do such a thing. Though his heart is telling him to go to her and take her back to his kingdom.

Jasper realized he was becoming attached to the human he despised so much that it was now turning back on him. What would his brother think he thought to himself. The carriage stopped abruptly making the coachmen jump out in a hurry as he opened the door for his master making Jasper aware of the vast land that was in front of him. The once visible pathway was gone.

"Milord forgive me but there's nothing out here"

Jasper tilted his head not looking at coachmen but the valley that stood before him. The lush grass and trees that followed in the wind made him even more curious.

"There is something in the land here but I have to find it wait for me here"

The coachman only bowed his head as Jasper started to walk away making his way to the empty land. He snapped his fingers as Slade was close by helping him in the search of the tribe Nicole was talking about. From what she told him the tribe would be far out away from the mainland.

Jasper began to walk further out in search of the tribe. He started to think about where would a tribe be if they wanted to stay hidden. A voice echoed in his head as he looked up seeing his pet owl Slade call for him Jasper began to run where Slade was.

Once he reached the destination he was immediately stopped by a tribal man with a long spear and paint on his face pointing at his neck. Jasper could've ripped the group of men apart but he had to stay calm if he wanted to meet the chief.

All he could do was have his hands up not wanting to seem like a threat to them, they didn't know who Jasper was. To them, he was a stranger walking in territorial lands. They didn't take vampires well as they were seen as demons of the night.Slade landed on Japser's shoulder parching himself upward and letting out a loud hoot causing the group of men to yell out loudly in pain. Jasper couldn't help but let out a smirk not wanting to contain the emotion he had let out.

"That will be enough, let's try not to go to war with the Lord of Snow"

The men that were once surrounded by Jasper stood up straight removing the spears from him as the chief of the clan walked up to him slowly. Jasper could tell the that chief was a wise man for his age. There was something more to this than what he knew. No more than in his fifty's he had slight wrinkles and two braided strains on hair.

"What brings you hear Lord Jasper?"

"I came here today for a request that a girl has made for me. She could like for you to have her father at rest."Jasper placed his hands behind his back showing the man some sort of respect as he spoke clearly. Making sure he wasn't a threat to him or his people.

The man hummed "So a blessing, that I can't do for you. I can smell the girl on you. She is not from my tribe but a tribe that kills vampires."

Jasper narrowed his eyes, he wasn't going to take no for an answer "You can't judge someone for such a thing if she's asking for a simple request. I won't leave here until I get it"

The chief laughed loudly as the men around him did the same "You can't have everything that you want Lord Jasper, a blessing does not simply come from me but the ancestors above. "

While Jaspers's hands were behind his back he couldn't help but clench his fist in frustration "I'm only asking you for one thing it's a simple blessing. If I show you where his body is will you bless him so he can be at peace as she said? I promised her I would."

The chief shrugged slightly " I guess that would work, it's been a long time since I've done such a thing. Let's go now or I'll change my mind"

"Good so glad to hear you will participate in such a good deed, it should just be you and me and no one else around us. Stand beside me so I can get us there quickly."

The Chief didn't waste any time as he stood next to Jasper he closed his eyes feeling the force of the vampire's magic it was instant but it made his stomach turn at the rush. Jasper took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeve as he grabbed a shovel and started to dig away at the grave. Of course, the chief helped as well digging away until they couldn't anymore.

Slade was commanded to go back to the kingdom and watch over Nicole as his duty to his master was done for that day.

Unraveling the sheet the chief let out a gasp as it was a corpse a rotten one that he wasn't used to seeing, Jasper looked closely and noticed that it wasn't Earl but someone completely different.

He gritted his teeth tightly he sensed someone prior must've dug him out as he couldn't help that he was still alive when they buried him. Jasper felt a hand on his shoulder as the chief shook his head.

"The person that was here before is gone but we can still bless the person here. Remember you said you promised her. So let's bless this person that is here now."

Jasper could only nod his head as he stood up putting his head down as the chief began to pray. The prayer was long but bearable as the chief stopped his praying he began to put the dirt back in the hole, which they dug from that Jasper helped alongside him.

The cheap bat his head to Jasper as he did, the same teleporting the chief back to his home. Jasper felt some relief, but anger in his heart as to why Earl would do such a thing. He caused his daughter pain which he did not like so now his mission is the fine Earl. Though he wouldn't know where he could be, to begin with. Having to tell her the news would be heartbreaking for her. Jasper wondered what to do beyond this point.
