Insane

In the hallways, a boy with jet-black hair and a platinum haired girl was walking. As they walked step-by-step Lock was walking so confidently that he looked so different. A strange aura was automatically emanating from him that people were turning their heads on him.

The academy was huge and had many staffs and students. In addition, the boy hadn't shown his face to a lot of crowds that much in the academy, so many probably were not aware of his identity. Or the more realistic scenario was they do not care.

"We're near." He said.

"Yeah…" Malie said.

She couldn't help but get a strange feeling. She didn't know why, but as soon as they stepped out of the room, she noticed Lock seemed to radiate the vibe of someone different. His face didn't change but now, he just exudes elegance.

Of course, the boy used to be a prince. He was lectured on etiquette and discipline all his life that sometimes, even it was only slight, it was radiating naturally.

Malie quickly shrugged the feeling off until they can reach the hall. It had been a long time since he could talk normally with the boy and things had definitely changed. She felt saddened about it.

"Lock, you look different. How are you doing recently? We didn't talk that much, you know." She asked.

Lock continued to walk as he replied casually, "Nothing. If anything, I think I got stronger."

"Huh? What do you mean?" She asked.

"Well, probably fighting. I'll been very good at it."

Malie just looked at him, and she can't help but be curious. "Really? Do you mean street fighting?" She chuckled.

As they walked closer to the hall, Lock's eyes looked around. He noticed a few people dressed with clothes bearing the flag of the Republic of Kook. The Republic of Kook was a rich country and they were the nearest here.

The situation of the borderlands was complicated. Although it was a dangerous place, countries wanted to take hold of as many territories they can because it had many natural resources.

Such a special situation was about the information that was kept only to the people here while they kept it a secret from the masses of the outside world.

It seemed like despite how dangerous the borderlands were; it was worth investing your life for substantial money. The time they spent walking allowed Lock to organize his memories further.

His current location, Sentri, was a safe zone while the outer lands were the danger zones.

Safe zones were simply the human civilizations (town and cities) that were protected by the Human Council with a magic barrier. Danger zones were the places unprotected by the Human Council. Such places were full of unknown magic beasts, unexplained magic phenomena, and disasters. In those places, too, there were dungeons, ruins and magical caves that nest expensive items.

That was why the Human Council restricted this place from the outside. Humans were too greedy and they would definitely covet it and if things went that way, blood would spill.

Because of that, the situation about the place was controlled by the most powerful organization called the Human Council. The Human Council was the gathering of the 12 leaders of the 12 countries and the decisions made by them was done by the name of the Human Council.

Lock was not very sure, but he believed he had common sense.

One agreement the Human council probably decided was to allow any country to protect the human civilizations in the borderlands. In that case, the nearest country took this land.

Before the boy knew it, they finally reached the doors of the hall.

"It's closed." He commented.

"Let's go to the backdoor."

"What? Let's just go inside." Lock stepped forward and touched the doorknob, attempting to open the two doors.

Before he could open it though, Malie grabbed his arms and pulled it, "Are you out of your mind? Let's sneak to the back."

She did not want to go in there and gather a lot more attention than necessary.

Lock shot her a strange look. The main character always arrives late. It was their duty and responsibility to make a grand and dramatic entrance. He was a prince and no matter which place he went to, he always had a dramatic entrance. It did not matter what people would think of him. What matters was what he would think of them.

Malie's jaws dropped as Lock pushed open the doors, making a dramatic creaking sound.

There they witnessed the ephemeral moment the audience facing front dramatically turn their heads to his position. It seemed like they appeared at the exact moment—like the hero of the legends who come to save the people from danger.

Lock slightly grinned at the atmosphere. There were no chandeliers sparkling overhead and was simply a common fluorescent lamp, but it did not matter.

Owen couldn't believe it. It seemed like the girl had succeeded and from Lock's expression, he also had no problems.

Malie gritted her teeth and hissed, "What are you doing? Did you finally go insane?"

She quickly grabbed his arms and dragged him to their seats. At the same moment, Lock could feel the freezing hand holding him.

But he did not reply back.

As soon as the people saw him, sentences which had long been a normal occurrence to the original Lock sounded from the crowd.
