CHAPTER 12 THE WRONG WAY

There was sunset and rayleigh scattering in the sky making it more warm and cosy. But actually it wasn't warm, it was getting breezy. Sierra was helding her face when the window opened.

John, exhausted from the day, drove all along the way going through the dark woods. Martha was relaxing and accompanying the girls.

Sarah was still petting her kitty

"Ouii my kitty! You don't know I love you so much. you cutie cutie…"

beside her, was napping Athena for a moment while our Alana was sitting quietly, straight using her mobile, texting her mom, briefing her all about their journey.

Martha was getting bored too. John glared at the rear-view mirror and smiled

"Has Olympus fallen yet?"

Martha quickly catched the voice and dragged her thoughts back and giggled

"Oh, no no!i was just thinking of the upcoming tours"

"Hm? What were you planning?"

"Nothing special but about the cooking adventures at the camping site and some childhood fun.."

"Sort of nice…"

"Sierra!"

"Yes sir?" she suddenly sat back and replied.

"Why are you so zipped?"

"Someone's not done yet" she rolled her eyes over sarah and bursted with laugh

"Hey! I am just passing my time wisely!"

"That's just ignoring. That hurts!" said Sierra and she looked away.

"Okay…sorry! Hey dude! sorry"

John and Martha started chuckling.

"Dare you that again!" she looked back at Sarah and giggled too.

"I deadly swear I would never do that again. Enough?"

"No!"

"What the…"

"Wake the snake up, please."

"Oh," she turned her face towards her shoulder and whispered

"Athena…"

"Hm…"

"Wakie wakie…"

"Uh?"

"Are you dead or asleep??!"

"Leave her, don't you know it's the toughest task to wake her up?" said Alana, hanging up the phone. Everyone giggled and martha then gave her precious advice

"To even catch a wolf, comes a trap first"

"Ah…" sarah came up with plan

"Athena…athena! I have got ice cream for you."

"Uh,What? Ice cream here?"

She suddenly woke up and looked here and there.

"Here…" Giggled Sarah.

"C'mon give me the ice cream." She demanded.

"Sorry to say, but there is no ice cream…" Sarah comforted her.

"When you can't give someone happiness,don't give them pain at least." She told like a wise girl widening her shoulders.

"Oh, yea…why not?" Alana Giggled.

Everyone started laughing at how wisely she stated that.

"Ha! Ha! Yes, you don't deserve any knowledgeable points. You are disrespecting knowledge! hmph!"

"Okay! Fine! That's all of your case file. Now be seated on your backs and let's play a mini game in-here. Agree?"

Said Martha.

"Fine…" said everyone

"What are we gonna play NOW??"

Asked Sierra a bit stridently.

"Seems that you're tired of the games. Aren't you?" Asked Martha.

"That's not what it is. Someone just doesn't want me to play games." Said Sierra frivolously.

Her cuteness gave butterflies to everyone.-nvm, she's really cute just like you.

"By the way what's the title?" Asked Sierra

"I don't know what should you call it, but-"

"Let's call it 'No Name' game!!" Said Sarah excitedly

"Haha! Ok!" Chuckled Martha

And she continued

"So I was saying that, in this game one of us is going to start from one word and the person sitting next to you will make a new word from the last letter of the word."

"Woah~" blazed Sierra.

"Interesting!" Exclaimed Athena

"Do you wanna join us?" Martha asked John.

"Who? Me?" Looking at the rear view mirror and replying to her.

"Ofc!"

"Do I look that young to play games?" Chuckled John

"Age doesn't matter. Although, you're here to have fun with children. Do you mind?"

"Um…As you say. Sign me up!"

Replied John.

"Okay so we're going to take the start from…Alana! Go ahead and say a word."

"Me? Okay…" she said thinking thoroughly.

"Are you here??!" Said Sierra moving and waving her hand In Front of her eyes to see if she's present minded.

"Stop it! Lemme think."

"Oh God!! You just have to say a Random word!"

"Random!"

"Yes, random!"

"Yea!! 'Ran-dom'"

"Now your behaviour sucks me" said Sierra.

"Oh God, she spelled her first word! 'R-A-N-D-O-M'" explained Athena

"Oh!"

"Your turn! Make a new word with 'M'" Martha said to Sierra.

"Okay…M is for Monkey!"

"No need to say who will be next. Keep going and this will be very tense" Told Martha

"Why?" Said Sarah worriedly.

"This rhythm has to speed up one by one" giggled Martha.

"That was not told before??!" Shrieked Sierra.

"Ok! Back to the game!"

"Sir it's your turn."

"Hm…'y'...'y'...what comes with 'y'? Oh dear, what have you done??" John blabbed.

"It's not that tough!Even preschool students can answer it" replied Athena.

"Ah! 'y' is for 'year'!" He replied quickly.

"Well done sire!" Appreciated Alana

"Thank you! Thank you" he replied in a very honourable manner

"R is for-" said Athena

"Raindrop?!" Said John confusingly.

"It's not your turn sir!-"

" It's raining! For real it's raining!"

"Ahhh!!!!" Said Athena and thudded back.

"Wow! Rain! My lovely lovely rain!?" Exclaimed Alana.

"Eh!!! 'my LoVelY lOvelY RaIN'" fleered Sarah.

Sierra laughed like a dolphin.

That made everyone laugh.

"Why are you so unhappy with rain??" Asked Alana.

"The way gets too slippery. Don't you know?" Replied Sierra

"Maybe, this time not?"

"Yea this time the water would say 'I am not slippery today and lemme make you go through this forest' huh?" Mocked Sarah.

Everyone roared with laughter.

Slowly, slowly the car was losing control and the windscreen was shattering with the rain water. John couldn't see properly because it was too dark and rain was covering the atmosphere and the headlights were about to go out. John parked the car aside.

"What happened? Why are we stopping here?" Said Sierra worriedly-known as the best friend of Ghosts and boggarts lmao.

" It's too dark to get there and water is running down to the windscreen continuously, it's not easy to move. However, it's a forest too."

There was a silence, but…Sierra's weep broke out the silence.after all her weeping was so 'QUIET'

"Now what??" Asked Alana.

Sarah started WEEPING too. What could be worse than that? Must know! If Sierra is 'Loud Speaker' Sarah is 'Disco club'.

"No, no. Not you! Please!!" As Athena spoke these words Sarah got more louder. This Disco Club made the Loud Speaker quiet.

Sierra looked slowly at Sarah and now everyone was looking at her and begging inside to stop this.

Me too.

Suddenly, there was a movement in the bushes that came to attention.

Sierra peeked through the side window.

"What was that?" Asked Martha

"There's no…" first she saw nothing but suddenly saw something

"One!!"

"Phew! It's good that there's no one." Replied Alana

"Oh dumb!! There's ONE giant shadow!!" Screamed Sierra

Sarah got louder.

John tried to pick on the car but it got cold in the rain.

There was so much fuss

*Sarah and Sierra screaming

*John trying to start the van and comforting everyone

*Martha making girls quiet

*Alana and Athena making girls be quiet

Bruh!!! Suddenly John shouted

"Quieeetttt!!"

Everyone stopped where they were breathing. In a short breath, the cat moewed.

A man came running towards the van's window screaming-ofc his mind was outta stock! He was just a wild man attacking trespassers

And passengers.

"Ahhh!!!!" Everyone screamed and John hurried to run the van as fast as possible, but the van was frozen out. Other side, everyone was screaming, rain was blocking the way, John was panicking, the crazy *** was slamming the door-was avout to break.

Athena just got crazy and shouted

"Get aside Sir!"

"Huh?"

She jumped into his lap crushing his EVERYTHING!

"What are you do-"

"Google it!" she smirked and pushed the accelerator repeatedly somehow, the van got heated and started.with safety, John got over her hands and made her drive safely but The way was slippery, making the van go this and that. Everything was just flying-literally EVERYTHING!! Poor kitten hid under the seats and the girls were holding eachother, yelling, and hoping that they would see the next sunrise.

"Woah!!" shrieked girls and Teachers. Finally, the man was lost in the dark but still it was raining too much, almost everything was turning into a river. John made her stop at a side. Everyone exhaled sharply and sighed. There was a eye pickking stare between Athena and the members.

"What?? C'mon you should be grateful to me. I mean, look! I saved you! YOU! And You and your cat too! Almost everyone!!"

Sarah put her fist on her waist and sighed.

"Is that what you call 'saving'? That was dreadful!"

"Oh no…" John blabbed

"Now what?!" asked Martha distressed.

The headlights were flickering awfully and finally they went out. Now there was only the van, the members and the fearful night that they will never forget!
