"Is this how you think I work?" Jason asked calmly, he could see the fear in the employee's eyes, "M-Mr K-Kenwood… it was a mistake?" the employee hesitantly answered, making Jason chuckle a bit.
His employees were more scared of his calmness, rather than when he is angry,
"I know it was a mistake, no one will do something like that on purpose, right?" Jason asked, his voice was a bit stern, suddenly the employee started begging him, "P-Please, Mr Kenwood forgive me, I will never do something like that again." He pleaded.
"Oh, surely you will never," Jason answered angrily, "You are fired, Phil take care of the matter." Jason said leaving from there, "Sure Mr Kenwood." Phil, Jason's PA said. Calling the guards making them drag that employee out of the company.
He was really furious because of what that employee did, he literally gave away the information of his new project to his rivals, just thinking about it was making him angry.
Jason was not someone who will be rude or treat his employees wrongly, but he absolutely cannot handle betrayal, he hated that the most.
He entered his cabin, that was on the 18th floor of the his company, he sighed deeply and sat down on his chair.
His cabin was black, with the hint of golden everywhere, his table was black with golden borders, the chair was black, the walls were a dark shade of grey, just the floor were a light shade of golden, the cabin had french windows, that was something he loved the most he could see the whole city from his cabin.
He was doing some work when he noticed the photo frame that was on his table, usually he would try his best not to look at that photo but today he was missing them a lot, why wouldn't he, today was their wedding anniversary.
He smiled a bit "Happy Anniversary mom, dad."
Someone suddenly entered his cabin without a knock and he already knew who that was, "I'm glad you took care of the matter, at the speed of light." Austin said, his blue eyes shining with happiness.
"How many times, I told you, don't enter without a knock." Jason exclaimed knowing very well, he didn't care about Jason's words at all.
"It's not like, I interrupted you, while you're in middle of something." Austin teased taking a seat in front of him, Jason very well knew what he meant and shook his head with a sigh.
Austin Jones was not only his only friend he was also his business partner, they have know each other since they were five years old, Austin was more like a brother to him
"why are you here?" Jason asked getting all serious, "How rude, can't I come to meet my friend."
"No, you can't when I'm busy," Jason answered, "And I think, you should also work."
"Well, I was working when suddenly I got a call." Austin smirked looking at Jason.
Jason groaned, he knew where this conversation was heading.
"Please, don't tell me, what I'm thinking is correct." Jason pleaded glancing at Austin.
"Yeah, definitely correct." Austin was trying his best not to laugh, but busted in laughter.
"What kind of friend laughs, when your friend is in trouble?" Jason asked .
"A true friend." Austin Smirked.
"Talk to her, before she comes here," Austin suggested, "I don't understand, why is grandma being like this." Jason voiced his thoughts.
"She is worried about you."
"I know that, but she is being stubborn." Jason sighed, when his phone started ringing, "I think you should just pick it up." Austin suggested.
Jason glanced at his phone and sighed, "I don't want to,"
"Then she will come here." Austin said, "Which one do you think is a better option," Austin glanced at Jason phone, "Picking up the call, or grandma coming here."
"The first option." Jason said and answered the call, "What took you so long!" Scarlett shouted, making Jason move the phone away from his ears.
"Grandma, why are you even shouting." Jason asked, he was really stunned by grandma's this behaviour.
"Because you don't listen to me." Scarlett furiously answered, "And when did I not listen to you," Jason questioned.
"W-Well that uhm…." Scarlett could not answer, "I asked you to go on a blind date, but what you did?" Scarlett questioned angrily.
"What! I did go to that date." Jason furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, "You did, but left after three minutes." Scarlett reminded him.
"That girl, is the granddaughter of my friend..." Scarlett sighed "Do you have any idea how embarrassed I was."
"But there was an emergency at work, that's why I had to leave." Jason defended himself, he glanced at Austin who was trying to control his laughter.
"Grandma, Austin wants to talk to you." Jason suddenly said keeping the call on speaker, making Austin stunned, "H-Hello, grandma." Austin hesitantly said.
"Did you know, what your friend did." Scarlett asked in a stern voice, Austin gulped cursing Jason, "I-I..." Austin stuttered.
"Will you stop stuttering and answer clearly."
"Yes, grandma I know." Jason smirked at Austin's answer.
"Both of you better come home right now! And Jason I want to talk to you about something." Scarlett said, Jason sighed knowing very well, what she wants to talk about.
"Okay, we'll be there." Jason sighed hanging up the call. "I'm sorry…. But what do you mean by we?" Austin asked.
"By we, I mean both of us will go there," Jason said, "Well, it's not we, you will go alone." Saying that Austin got up from his seat to run from there.
"But, grandma told you to come as well."
"I will come up with an excuse."
"Is this how a true friend should behave?" Jason asked, he was mentally pleading Austin to come with him.
Austin sighed, he knew Jason won't be able to handle grandma alone, "Okay, I will come with you." Austin answered defeatedly,
Jason nodded his head, ready to face his angry grandma.
