Chapter 36

Jasmine yawned as she was tired sitting for so long, she glanced at the clock in front of her desk, "I think they might be done by now." She mumbled, thinking about Claire, "What did you say?" Asked her colleague, "Nothing." She replied.

She was waiting for Claire's call as she knew it was the first official test for her, 'I hope she wins.'

"I want to meet her." Came a voice that made her close her eyes in irritation, she glanced at the person who came to her office unannounced, she was cursing him in her mind which was clearly evident on her face.

Jasmine tried to hide herself behind her desk, but she wasn't that lucky as he already saw her, "There you are." Austin shouted, making everyone look at him, everyone followed Austin's gaze and turned their eyes towards Jasmine. Making her look down at her feet.

"I'm talking to you Miss," Austin called her, she sighed as she didn't have a choice and looked at him with a fake smile on her face, "How can I help you Sir." Jasmine emphasized Sir, making Austin raise an eyebrow at her.

"Well, the only thing you can help me with is..." Austin smirked as he glanced at everyone around them and said, "By going on a date with me."

Jasmine almost choked on her saliva, 'What the hell are you saying!' She glared at him, knowing very well that it had no effect on him, everyone around them gasped, Austin was well known, who won't know their boss, he owned fifty percent shares of the company.

"Sir let's talk outside, please." Jasmine tried to walk out from their when Austin said, "Everyone would love to hear your answer princess." Austin smiled evilly at her, he knew she was trying her best to control her anger, he was aware that if he went out with her she won't go on a date with him.

Austin stared at her, she looked beautiful even with such big glasses on her face, she was wearing a a light blue color pants with a white shirt and blue blazer, her hair were left open, she was indeed beautiful, he thought.

"Sir I don't think we should talk about such a matter in front of everyone." Jasmine stated, "What so personal about it," Austin had a confused look on his face, which Jasmine knew he was faking, "Okay, let's just ask the people here, do you guys want to know her answer?"

Some of them looked at Austin as he was joking while some looked curious, "Come on give your answer." Austin said a bit loudly this time, making everyone understand what he wanted to hear, "Yes, we would like to hear your answer, Jasmine!" One of them shouted followed by a lot of cheering.

Austin took one of the chairs and placed it in front of Jasmine who was confused by his actions, he stood in front of her and leaned a bit closer to her making her breath hitch, "I think you should answer before I lose my patience." He whispered to her and sat down on the chair.

Jasmine knew this time she can't run away so she replied, "Sir let's go and talk about this outside," Austin looked suspiciously at her, Jasmine rolled her eyes at his suspicious look and said, "I promise to give you an answer that you want to hear!" Jasmine almost snapped at him.

Austin smiled and got up from the chair, he held her hand without a second thought and took her with him, as soon as they were out of the room, Jasmine snatched her hand away from his grip, "Are you crazy!"

She snapped at him, they were in a cabin, "Austin, do you have any idea what you just did?" Austin was just listening to her without saying anything he knew this was going to be her reaction.

"Are you so desperate to go on a date with me?" Jasmine asked a bit calmly this time as she understood he wasn't going to react to her anger, "Yes." Austin replied, Jasmine chuckled at his answer, "You are just a jerk who is just interested to go out with any girl who he likes, right?" Jasmine accused.

Austin felt a bit bad at her words but didn't let it show on his face, "Maybe, so answer me, will go on a date with me or not?" He asked, Jasmine couldn't believe the guy standing in front of her, he was so adamant to go on a date with her.

Jasmine knew he won't leave her alone till she says a yes to him, "Okay." She stated, Austin was shocked hear her answer, "Really, are you saying you will g-"

She stopped him before he could say anything further, "Look I will do on a date with you, but I have a condition."

"Okay....what is your condition?" He asked, "Will you be able to fulfill it?" Jasmine challenged, "Why don't you first tell me, what it is." Austin replied, he wasn't a idiot who would just say a yes without even listening to what she says.

"Okay, so after this date you won't ask me to go on any date with you?" Jasmine smirked when she saw the look on his face.

Austin was impressed by her way of dealing with someone, but she had no idea who he was, he smirked at her and replied, "If that is your condition, then I will fulfill it but..."

"But what?" She asked impatiently, "You won't be able to meet your friend till she is participating in the contest." Austin answered with a smile on his face, "What, why are you involving her in this matter?"

"See, I might like to go on a lot of dates with you but if you do this, then you have to face some consequences." Austin stated, "So do you still want me to fulfill you condition?" Austin asked, Jasmine knew he was Jason's friend, so he was capable of doing what he said.

"I will be ready by seven, you can send someone to pick me up!" Jasmine said, and without waiting for his reply she left from there.
