Claire was not in the mood to get up, she whined still feeling sleepy but the constant knock on the door was enough to make her drag herself out of the bed.
"What! why can't you let me sleep!" She yawned, opening the door.
"Claire, really.... didn't I ask you to get the invitation from Jake!" Jasmine didn't like how Claire was sometimes so careless, she was not that serious about her life, if she would have been, she wouldn't had got involved with Jason.
Jasmine's showed her the time on her phone, which made her fully awake, without replying to her, Claire ran to take a shower.
Jasmine could now go to the company without any worries, she shook her head in disbelief taking her handbag she walked out of the house.
While Claire was in a rush to meet Jake, she wore a blue ripped jean and a loose hoodie, she tied her hair in a loose bun, satisfied with her look, she walked out locking the door.
On the other hand, Jake was patiently waiting for Claire, "One cappuccino, please."
"Sure, please wait a second." Jake took another order as usual, but his eyes were fixed on the door, waiting for Claire, he was aware that she liked Jason but deep down in his heart, he still has hope that he could make her fall for him.
He still was not sure if, doing what Isabelle told him was right or not but he didn't want to lose to Jason this time.
"Jake are you waiting for someone?" One of the guy in the coffee shop asked, snapping him out of his thoughts, "Um, actually... yeah I'm waiting for my friend."
The bell on the door ringed, indicating someone entered, turning his gaze towards the door, his eyes met with hers, and a smile made his way to his face.
Claire smiled at him and went towards him, "Good morning, Jake." Claire greeted him, "Morning Claire, I was waiting for you."
"Sorry, I got a bit late." She apologised, "It's fine, did you had your breakfast?"
"No, I came here in a hurry even though it's just ten minutes away from my home."
Jake chuckled, "Go and wait for me, I will get you something to eat." Claire muttered a thank you and went to sit on one of the empty tables.
After some minutes Jake came to her with a cup of coffee and a croissant, which was her favorite, as she looked at the croissant, a smile formed on her face, as the recalled the day she spent with Jason.
"I know you like croissant but never knew it could bring such a beautiful smile on your face." Claire blushed at his compliment.
"Well, it's just make me happy," Claire replied taking a sip from her coffee, "So, Jasmine might have told you why I wanted to meet you." Claire nodded, "Hmm, you want to invite us to your sister's birthday party?" Claire asked.
"Yeah, so you will come, right?" Jake hesitated to ask, he didn't want to hear a no. "We don't mind, but will she be okay with me being there?"
"She is not that evil, don't worry, I'm inviting my friends so it won't be a problem." Jake assured her.
"Jake, can I ask you something,"
"Sure go ahead."
"Will it be okay, if Jason and Austin join us in the party?" Jake froze at her question, "You want them to be there," Jake was aware of this but he wanted to be sure, one last time, he knew after this there was no turing back.
"Yeah, but if you don't want them to be there it's understandable, afterall it's your sister's birthday." Claire replied keeping the cup down on the table.
"I don't mind, I was just asking." Jake replied, his eyes were fixed on her, making her move in her seat uncomfortably.
"Umm....okay so where is the invitation?"
Jake handed her a black glittery card, Claire took it from his hand, she opened the card, it was written in glittery calligraphy twenty-two, Sarah's name and the address, she shocked to know that the party was in a club, that too one the biggest club in the city.
"Wow, I guess it's going to be a day to remember for her."
Jake smiled and replied, "It will definitely be a day to remember for everyone."
"Alright we will be there and thanks for the breakfast."
"No worries, I will wait for you guys." Jake gazed at her as she walked out of the coffee shop.
Someone who was sitting right behind him said, "Why would you waste so much of time!"
"If you had a problem you should have left!" Jake snapped, "Watch your tone, I'm not your slave!" Isabelle warned him, "Relax lover boy, don't vent your anger on me, she never loved you anyways."
Jake clenched his jaw, he knew what she said was true, "Now stop with that look, it's your fault anyway to let her go." Isabelle peeked at him, as she got up from her seat and sat in front of him.
"Now don't apply salt to my wounds." Jake closed his eyes, making it very clear that he wasn't in the mood to talk.
"Jake, don't you want to know what I planned for them?"
"I don't want to know but, Isabelle," Jake turned to look at her, "If you hurt any of them, I swear I will be the one to hand you over to Jason."
Jake warned her, what she did that day to Austin was something he would ever want to happen again.
"Tsk, Come on.... what makes you think I'm scared of him!" Isabelle rolled her eyes at his warning. "Because you're aware of how cruel Jason can be."
Isabelle glared at him, "Just wait, it will be a treat to watch." Saying that she left stomping her feet.
'Why did I even call her back!' He wonders. The way she was pissed off at Claire and the other two, he was sure she won't spare any of them.
