"Hmm, I'm quite aware of that John, but don't forget I'm not that behind either!" Jason smirked, he knew John wasn't a fool, he was always a cunning man, backstabbing people who trusted him, but this time Jason was going to be the one, to give him a real fight.
"Grandma, John was saying something, that I think you should also hear." Jason got everyone's attention, which made John shocked, "What is it, Jason?" Grandma asked curiously.
"Uncle John just praised me for a nice plan, but he said he is still ahead of me!" Jason said emphasizing uncle, "So, I just wanted to ask what he meant by that?"
Jake gazed at his father who looked a bit frighten, "I... I meant that your business is doing amazing but I'm still ahead of you." John laughed lightly, which was evidently fake, everyone glanced at each other.
Austin bit his lip trying to hold back his laugh, John was looking visibly embarrassed while Jason had a victory smile on his face.
'Just wait John, this is only the beginning!' Jason thought, he just wanted to check the house, for that he just had to make sure grandma should be with John for the whole time.
"Sir, lunch is ready." One of the househelps announced, everyone went to the dining hall, which looks magnificent, the dining table was made up of marble and the white leather chairs matched perfectly with it.
"You have a beautiful home, John." Grandma Scarlett praised his choice, John thanked her and all of them took their sit.
Jason sat between grandma and Austin, while Jake and Sarah sat opposite them, and John sat on the right of grandma.
Soon the food was on the table, it had all the food that everything liked, there was Austin's favorite dessert and Jason's favorite pasta, that he once loved.
"I asked the cooks to make everything you guy's love, but I didn't know you're also coming with them...." John said, "Oh, it's fine... don't worry so much about it." Grandma Scarlett assured him.
They all ate quietly, while grandma and John chatted a bit as they had their lunch, after they were done grandma went to the lawn with John.
"So won't you show me your house, I want to see how much has changed since then." Jason asked, he knew this was his chance to find something against him, Jake raised his eyebrow, doubting him, "Why do you suddenly want to..."
"Come on buddy, we were once friends did you forget that?" Austin said, putting his arm around Jake's shoulder.
"Did you notice, you said we were, so don't forget it was in the past!" Jake sneered at him, removing Austin's arm from his shoulder.
Sarah was standing quietly beside them, "Don't be like that Jake, let them see our home."
Jake was baffled at her words, he knew his sister was unaware of the things going on between Jason and his father, but he was sure Jaso was here for a reason.
taking a deep sigh, he nodded his head, "Follow me."
Jason was thankful to Sarah, he and Austin followed Jake, Jake took them upstairs, there were five rooms, one was Jake's bedroom and on the opposite side was Sarah's bedroom, one room was drawing room, and the other two were guest's room.
"Where is Jo-.... I mean Uncle John's room?" Jason asked, "It's downstairs, but we can't take you there, he doesn't like when someone enters in his room." Sarah replied.
Jason nodded, he already almost saw their house, but he didn't saw any suspicious thing and there were still places he couldn't go in.
"Hm, so.... he doesn't even let you enter his room?" Austin asked, "It's not like that, but most of the time we don't go in." Sarah answered, "Now that you're done investigating, can we go down?" Jake sarcastic asked, "You can leave, we never stopped you!"
"Okay, okay let's go." Austin said before the two got into any fight.
They went to the living room, when Jason noticed Grandma Scarlett sitting on the couch beside John, "What were you kids doing?" John asked when he noticed them, "Dad, don't call us kids." Jake frowned.
Jason saw Grandma was looking a little angry, "Are you okay grandma?"
She glared at him, "Yeah, I'm fine!" Jason gulped, her tone was scary, "Jason did you notice she is looking mad." Austin whispered to him.
"Hmm, but I don't remember doing anything wrong."
"Jason, I forgot to congratulate you." John suddenly said, making Jason confused, "For what?"
"For finally have a girlfriend!"
Jason widens his eyes, he gazed at grandma and understood why she was angry, "I actually let it slip in front of Aunt Scarlett, sorry," John smirked.
Austin closed his eyes tightly, knowing very well what was about to happen, "I think we should leave now." Grandma said getting up from the couch.
Jason and Austin stood behind her, John insisted her to stay for a while, but she denied, "I hope she doesn't get mad at you." John said to Jason as he was about to leave.
"Grandma, please I didn't tell you because-"
"Because you didn't trust me enough!" Grandma Scarlett refused to look at him, they were sitting in the car going back home.
"Grandma don't be like this, I really didn't got time to tell you!" Jason tried to justify himself.
"That's the point Jason, I wasn't important for you, so you didn't take out five minutes to give me a call and tell me that you're dating someone." Grandma Scarlett was not angry on him she was hurt that she found out about this from a person who she met after years, and not her grandson.
"Austin, did you know about this?" Grandma asked, "'Um, grandma.... I actually-"
"So, even you knew about this!" She didn't know what else she should say to them, "You both are just..."
"Please, don't be mad grandma, I'm sorry." Jason apologized, he didn't know how else he could make up to her, "Then tell me something, and this time don't lie, will you be honest?"
Jason nodded, "Who is she?"
