Chapter 76

Jason looked at the man behind all the problems in his life, "Stop it Jason, you should leave!" John tried to sound as if he was the victim in this situation.

"Mr. Kenwood, we should leave." Phil held his hand as he saw Jake was almost unconscious by now, he wanted to save Jason from any more trouble.

Jason glared at John before pushing Jake and walking out from there, people were shocked to see Jason fighting in front of everyone in a meeting.

John gazed at him, who walked out with a bleeding lip and a swollen jaw and his son who was sitting on the chair with the help of some guards, half unconscious.

"I'm sorry, but I would like to have this meeting on some other day." John announced, all the people present there understood the situation and starting to leave from there.

John honestly didn't expect such a ruckus would happen, he sighed and sat down on the chair, rubbing his fingers on the scar on his cheek, "Keep an eye on him from now on." He told his PA.

"Take him home!" John ordered as soon as everyone left.

Jake splashed water on his face, but the burning sensation made him hiss, the scars that formed because of Jason's punches, made him grit his teeth, he stared at his reflection in the mirror, wiping his face.

When he was back to his senses, he knew he was doomed, his father was going to be the one to punch him after Jason.

He was fuming in anger, this incident made him realize that Jason wasn't going to sit in the backseat and let things happen on their own from now on.

Now he was going to do everything in his power to bring his father down, today's event made him understood that now he had to do something to know what really happened in the past that made Jason resent his father so much.

Jason has always blamed his father for the death of his parents, but he never believed him, but what he did today was something that he couldn't ignore anymore.

He heard a knock on the door, snapping him out of his thoughts, "Are you okay?" Jake heard Isabelle's voice, which didn't sound concerned at all, it more as if she was curious to know what happened there.

"Why are you here?" He inquired, as he got out of the washroom, removing his brown jacket and folding the sleeves of his white shirt.

"I heard about the fight you had with Jason, so I was just curious to know what happened exactly?" Isabelle sat down on his bed, looking all excited.

Jake glared at her, he knew Sarah would have told her, "I'm not interested in giving you any information about that, so I ask you politely, get out!"

Isabelle frowned, "You can let me know about it, I won't tell anyone that you lost."

"Look Isabelle, I don't have any energy left to make you understand things, so just leave." Jake half lied down on the bed, with the support of his elbows, closing his eyes.

He furrowed his eyebrows when he felt a finger grazing his scar on his right cheek, opening his eyes, he saw Isabelle running her finger on his cheek.

He held her hand, stopping her, "What are you doing?"

"I just wanted to see how deep it was, I can't believe he is so strong now!" Isabelle said dreamily.

Jake pushed her hand harshly, he was hurt because of Jason, and she was praising him for that, "Can you at least act like my friend!"

Isabelle sighed, she didn't get why he was mad at her, "Relax Jake, it's not a big deal, it will heal in some days."

Jake took a deep breath and tried to ignore her comments, "You were here to win Jason's heart, right?" She nodded listening to him with narrowed eyes.

"Then have you been successful until now?"

"No, how can I win him over, when he already has a girlfriend, and he doesn't even let me enter his office!"

"Then shouldn't you first break his relationship?" Jake questioned but it was more like a suggestion,

"You should try to first make him realize that you only see him as a friend, that might make him change his thinking towards you," Jake got up from the bed and stood in front of her, "Then he might let you come closer to him!"

Isabelle gave a thought to his suggestion and a smirked formed on her face, she jumped from the bed and hugged him tightly.

But her happiness lasted only for a minute, when a question popped in her head, "But it's never easy to make Jason trust someone." She said, moving away from him.

"Then why don't you go towards the way that will lead you to him."

Isabelle didn't understand what he meant, but realization soon came to her, "In that sense, I have three paths that lead me towards him!" She was excited to execute the plan which was formed by the help of Jake.

"Now that I have helped you, please leave... there are some things that I have to do." Jake said, he knew if Isabelle distracted Jason, he would be able to find things out easily.

"I will leave but first tell me, which path should I use first?"

Jake thought for a moment and then replied, "The one that's the most difficult." Jake was aware that if she took the easy way, Jason won't even care to look at her, but if she disturbed his life, he won't be able to ignore her.

"That means, I should go and meet her, right?"

"Hmm, but don't give her a hard time!" Jake warned her, whatever happens, she is still his friend, and he won't like if she was in trouble.

"Don't worry, I won't trouble her a lot, but I can't promise there won't be any trouble at all!"
