Chapter 88

"So, you think she is up to something?" Austin questioned, staring at his friend who had a stern look on his face, not understanding what makes him so worried. "Yeah, I'm sure, she is surely going to do something, you see.... when she spoke to me, she already knew who I was!"

Austin sat down in front of him, on the couch, they were currently in Jason's home, "Jason, don't you know a lot of people know you." Austin said as a matter of fact,

"Austin, I know that, but the way she met me, it was something different!" Jason tried to make him understand. "Alright, if you think that woman is dangerous, I will keep an eye on her as well." He assured Jason.

"What do you mean by her as well?"

"As you know, you have a friend who has feelings for you since high school," Jason was listening to him attentively, "I don't think she will let you go so easily, that's why I made someone keep an eye on her."

It was always difficult for Austin to talk about her, but he couldn't change the fact that Isabelle was back for Jason, and it had nothing to do with him. Austin was lost in his thoughts, while telling him that, Jason sighed, "So, that's the reason you have been busy these days?"

Austin groaned and got up from the couch, walking towards the kitchen, "Not really, I was busy pleasing your girlfriend's bestie." 

"I bet, she wasn't pleased at all!" Austin gasped at him, "How can you say that, are you really on my side?" Jason rolled his eyes, "No need to overreact, Jasmine is not someone who will be pleased easily, she's a headstrong girl."

Jason went towards his friend and patted him on the back, "But don't worry, I know you will make her fall for you!" Austin grinned, "But for now let's talk about Jake."

"What about him?" Jason said, "You are well aware that he has been trying to get in contact with Grandma,"

"So…" Austin wasn't sure what he meant by that.

"This is how you want to get back at him, by hurting Claire!" Jake was furious on Isabelle, he never thought she will do this, "God! Jake, you don't understand, this is the only way," Jake looked at her with narrowed eyes and replied, "Didn't I tell you we will go and meet his grandma?" Jake asked.

"Do you think it's that easy, they won't even let me near the mansion!" Isabelle was agitated because how unreasonable Jake was being. Jake rubbed his hand in his head, groaning, he was frustrated because of Scarlett, Jason, his dad, all of them were making him lose his mind. "I'm warning you once again, if you try to hurt Claire even emotionally, I will get back at you in my own way!" Jake warned her.

"oh, and how will you do it?"Isabelle folded her hands, wanting to know what he will do, Jake walked towards her and bends at her eye level as she was sitting on the couch.

"I won't mind hurting Jason as well, that too physically!"

The look in his showed that he was serious,Isabelle gulped she knew Jake did have some feelings for Claire but she wasn't aware that he was this serious, "Can you even hear yourself, how can you say you'll hurt Jason for that girl!"Isabelle got up from the couch shouting at him, loud enough to echo in the whole room.

"Let me be clear Isabelle, you are here for him and don't even thing I'm helping you because you're my friend, you want him and I want her."

Jake's words didn't effect Isabelle, she knew he was ready to help her because he wanted Claire for himself, but she did feel hurt listening it this way. Isabelle nodded her head and asked, "So, what do you want me to do?"

"First of all make sure she doesn't go to any of them after this." Jake was sure Jason might have already got someone to look in this matter. "What will he do if he finds out?" Isabelle questioned not aware of the consequences. Jake looked at her, "I always thought you were on the smart side of the world."

"Hey! What do you mean!" Isabelle sounded offended, "You want to know what he will do, right?" Isabelle nodded her head, "Then go to him and tell him what you did, you will find the answer." Saying that Jake left her alone. "God, this idiot." Isabelle cursed under her breath, picking up her purse she left after Jake.
