Angel Without Wings

As the doctor they brought inspected Angela's baby, Airin bit her lower lip. She couldn't help but exhale her frustration, perplexity, and breath of fear.

She circled the area in front of the bedroom door, because Airin is worried that the baby she recently had would leave her again, she declines to go with Angela's infant for the examination.

After some time, the doctor who was inspecting out of the room, trailed Alfian.

"How?" Airin asked. She was still hesitant to look Doctor's eye.

"She is fine. Just a slight fever," Doctor said. He gave Alfian a long, slow glance before latter nodded.

Alfian inhaled deeply. "Airin, Doctor wants to talk us about something. It's about Angela."

In perplexity, Airin furrowed her brows. Her attention shifted from Alfian to Doctor.

"Did something happen to my daughter?" she asked worriedly.

"That's not it."

Alfian touched his wife's shoulder. He moved up to his wife, "Angela's got a problem. She was born prematurely, as you are aware."

Airin nodded. 'Of course,' she knew that. When her husband tell "that woman" was going to give birth, she became quite anxious and afraid at the same time. Even though the fact that she was not even close to giving birth.

"Our daugher's body things are not yet perfect. Honey, Angela needs an incubator. maximum of two months." Alfian elucidated.

"So, Doctor advised that we return her to the hospital. There are far more complete available."

Airin quickly gave a disapproving head shake. "No, please don't take her away from me!" she snapped.

"Listen, honey! Nobody wants to split you two apart." Alfian assured them that this was merely a temporary situation.

"I promise."

He grabbed his wife's body and hugged her as Alfian drew near to help her relax. "We can't let her steal our child. I'll make good on my word and send in all security to watch the hospital later where Anggela is getting treated."

Airin's eyes abruptly widened as she looked up. "Call Aiden, we can ask him for help. His parents' hospital is far safer."

Alfian remained silent for some while. He gave the doctor a quick glance before nodding.

"Then we'll seek Aiden for assistance," Alfian determined with assurance. He gave his wife a back rub, temporarily relaxing her.

As soon as dawn came, Alfian and Airin took baby Angela to the hospital owned Aiden's parents.

Outside, the chilly air is still infiltrating and slamming into the dew drops. After last night's significant rainstorm, grass was still soggy and the soil was still moist.

Airin inhaled deeply. While giving the 'baby' a tight hug, she occasionally cast glances Alfian's way.

"She'll be all right?" Airin questioned.

Alfian took a quick look before nodding. "She's our strong daughter. We can take her wherever we want after two months."

As they got closer to the hospital grounds, Alfian slowed his automobile down. When Alfian parked it, Aiden has stepped toward them to front lobby.

"She's your baby?"

For the nth time, Aiden turned to Alfian.

Slowly, the man's brows furrowed. Alfian simply snorted in irritation.

"Why ask again, you know what happened to us before?"

Aiden cleared his throat. When he noticed Alfian's look, he felt guilty. He asked in the wrong way, 'of course. The baby was obviously not their child.'

His head hurt from the events of the past and the issues of those around him. All his life, Aiden wondered why he has two friends who are equally hostile. Alfian, who loves too much, and Airin, who doesn't have a fixed mind, as well as Saga, who is childish and prefers to flee when there is a problem.

Aiden inhaled deeply. He turned to face baby that had been placed inside the incubator tube.

As soon as Aiden arched his brows, he remembered something familiar. Whatever the reason, Aiden thought he recognized baby's face. White complexion and a very thin strand blonde hair.

Aiden rubbed the back of his neck. Then I looked at Alfian. The man remembers how Alfian, his friend, came to his room with Airin, who brought a beautiful baby.

Aiden reflexively furrowed his brows in confusion. Until Alfian explained that they were raising a child who needed an incubator.

At first, Aiden didn't ask many questions, but as soon as he saw the baby, he recognized a bit of Airin in the infant. They both had blonde hair, but the baby's face tended to resemble someone Aiden knew.

'Saga'? She looks like a little Saga.'

As the idea entered his head, Aiden grinned subtly. If Saga knew he resembled baby it, he was possible would scream at it.

"We sincerely hope you will assist us. This is Airin's most fervent request, kindly."

Degh....

Alfian remained silent for a moment after Aiden turned his face in his direction. He was aware of his obligations.

"Have you filed the necessary paperwork for the baby's custody? I mean, the adoption letter, I guess."

Alfian remained silent for some while. His face became grave. In split second, mood changed to tense.

Even though nurses and his patients were walking, Aiden thought area was calm. This hospital is so big that it can't be abandoned. Aiden inhaled deeply.

Alfian resisted talking to he about his children, child custody, or anything else involving kids.

"I'm sorry. I meant When you put- "

"I get it," Alfian exclaimed. A moment later, he talk, cutting off Aiden's remarks about his daughter.

"We've finished our work with the orphanage."

"There isn't too much to take care of because baby was just discovered last night, laying at the orphanage door."

Aiden nodded in agreement. "Was she abandoned?"

Alfian said with a nod, "It appears so."

Aiden inhaled deeply. The man swiveled. He took another look at baby. He feel awful for her. Even though there are many people who want a kid, which mother would have the heart to put her away?

If you look at the condition, the baby that Alfian brought must have been born for at least five days or a week, and she remains extremely tiny and beautiful. Aiden even fell in love with it when he first saw her. He struggled to comprehend the baby's biological mother's decision to abandon such beautiful child.

Inaudibly sighing, Aiden. Aiden enquired, "Anyway, what's the baby's name?"

"Angelana Adams."

"Angelana Adams?"

In perplexity, Aiden furrowed his brows.

He appeared to be remember where he had first heard that name. He knew Naomi had used the same name for her daughter.

"It's a unique name," Aiden exclaimed.

"Airin provided the name, so there. The first time the orphanage showed Angel, she had already fallen in love. She truly is an angel for our family in our eyes."
