Rouge

When he got home Aegon went straight to see Helen and found her making dinner with a woman they had hired. Over the past few months Aegon has convinced Helen to hire a small staff as he worries about her health so that she can run an entire foster home by herself. A few years ago this wasn't a problem and Helen even enjoyed it, but now that Helen was in her 50s and had several children to look after it wasn't easy to do all the work.

"It smells delicious." Aegon noted as he entered the kitchen.

Both of them laughed after hearing something. "Son, you're back, I was starting to worry, class ended long ago and you didn't tell me you'd be late."

"I'm sorry to worry you mom. You know you could have called me."

"You're right it's just that I didn't want you to think I was that controlling mother or something." Helen said giving him a smile.

"I would never think that. I know you care about me and that makes me happy." He replied with a smile.

"Haha this boy sure is special, I told you no need to worry. I don't think you'll find a boy as mature or down to earth as Aegon at this age." Teresa spoke to another woman in the kitchen. "Seriously kid I still can't get over the fact that you were never adopted." This time Teresa's tone was regretful and her expression was 'How can this world be so cruel?'

When Teresa regained her temper and saw Helen's slightly uncomfortable face, she thought about what she had said and quickly tried to apologize to the boy.

"Sorry boy, I think I talked too much."

"Don't worry, that kind of thing doesn't worry me. Besides, I'm glad no one decided to adopt me. I'm happy with my mother, I don't need anymore."

"Yes, you certainly are a special boy, Helen you are very lucky to have one like that."

"I know, and I'm very proud of him." Helen replied with a smile that almost didn't fit her face.

"Mom, when you are free, I want to talk to you."

"Okay as far as..." But before he could continue Teresa cut him off.

"That's no use, I can finish what's left, that's all. Go with the boy, go ahead, I'll take care of it."

"Thank you Theresa." "Thank you." Mother and son answered respectively.

Helen asks him when they are alone in Egon's room. "So what did you want to talk about? It seems important."

"It is. I'll be 16 next year and I want to be released. Before you ask, I want you to know that I'm not doing this because I'm upset about something. I have plans I want to make."

"Plan, what plan are you talking about? Besides, where are you going? Why all of a sudden?" Helen was very nervous even though she knew this day would come eventually, she just thought there was still time.

"First I want my own house where I can have more privacy and I want to start my own business, maybe a company." Hearing this, Helen expressed doubt on her face, everything that Aegon has collected requires a lot of money, where will Egon get so much money. "If you're wondering where I get the money, it's thanks to Edward."

"Edward, do you mean Mr. Smith?" Helen now understands less.

"Let me explain so you understand. This past year I have directed Edward where to make certain investments. These investments have been successful. Thanks to this Edward is willing to offer me a job as his advisor. None of this will do. Interfere with my studies, I'll keep doing what I'm doing, but I'll get a lot of money in return."

"So Mr. Smith made that donation, didn't he?" Now Helen understood why this man appeared out of nowhere and donated feathers to the foster home.

"Yes."

"It will be very painful to be separated from you, but I don't want to get in the way of your dreams. If you choose to follow this path, I will support you as much as I can. I will miss you so much, little boy."

"You're talking like we're not going to see each other. You're the first one to get my address once I'm settled, and I'll be visiting you and hope you do the same."

"Of course I will."

The two continued to talk some more until it was time for dinner. After dinner Aegon returns to his room claiming to be tired, once in his room he makes himself comfortable on his bed and enters his inner world. It was during his brutal training… brutal training. He didn't have class the next day so he stayed up late under Yamamoto's lessons.

The next morning Aegon woke up late, his attention while eating breakfast on a news channel that was currently broadcasting live the press conference Tony Stark was giving.

[POV AEGON]

"Therefore I am going to shut down the weapons development and manufacturing division immediately until I decide what the future of the company is going to be, what direction we should take, that pleases me and is for its greater good. Country.."

It was just what I needed to hear to make my day unforgettable. Without wasting time I called Edward.

"Tell me you're calling me because you're watching the same news as me?" Edward told him immediately once he answered the call.

"You know what to do. I'll be in touch later." It was just what I told him and then off. This news made me so happy that I thought I'd have a little fun today. I think I still have the numbers of those girls from the club of exotic dancers belonging to the Russian mafia.

Luckily for Aegon one of the girls he called was free until the afternoon so he went to meet her at her apartment. By evening, Egon finished his bath and left. That day the girl had to call her work and say that she was uncomfortable, she could hardly move.

After leaving the apartment, Aegon wandered the streets of New York until he decided to go to a cafe and order something because he was hungry, but he didn't want to go home yet. While he was waiting for his order, a beautiful brown haired girl with white freckles and green eyes came and sat at the table in front of him. Aegon had to admit the girl was attractive. He couldn't say with complete confidence that he was right, but the girl's identity seemed pretty clear at a glance, Rogue.

Aegon began to think of how to approach and after a few seconds he began to approach their table.

He stood in front of the girl and started talking. "Sorry, I know this might seem out of place, but when I saw you I couldn't help but feel that somehow you weren't like the rest."

Hearing what the strange young man walking towards her said, Rogue couldn't help but feel a little nervous and annoyed at the same time because all he wanted at the moment was some peace of mind. The young man in front of him said that he could tell he wasn't normal making him think he was a mutant just like him.

And while he really wanted some reassurance he couldn't ignore the fact that he knew how hard life was for some mutants. Besides, the boy was extremely handsome and a great distraction for her mind and heart, so she decided to continue the conversation as best she could.

"What do you mean I'm not like the rest?" Rogue told him as she looked him up and down.

"I don't know if those are the right words, but I'd say you're special. And not because you're pretty. My name is Aegon, by the way, nice to meet you." The boy raised his hand and saluted.

When she heard from Aegon, she thought her worries were for naught and that the boy was just trying to flirt with her. "I'm rogue. Tell me Aegon, telling a girl she's different from the others. Did it work for you with the others?" He answered without holding her hand.

"I don't know I've never tried. I'm pretty good looking so girls usually go for me." Not thinking of being brave, Aegon sat down at the table facing Ruge. "Make no mistake, you're a girl that everyone likes, I mean you're beautiful and have a very attractive body, but that's not why I came to you. The truth is I didn't lie, I really think you're special. How? I don't know yet, but I trust my instincts."

"Well, at least I'll admit you're brave, though I don't think there's anything special about me. And do you feel I'm not like the rest? Or maybe you'll tell me you have powers." The girl was really curious about the boy's words.

"Well yes I do." He accepted without hesitation and upon looking around and seeing that no one was looking at them, he flashed his hand, briefly.

The rogue stared at him in silence.

"Looks like I wasn't wrong and neither were you, were you. Anyone else in your place would have been afraid or thought it was some kind of magic trick."

"So you're a mutant too."

"Sorry to disappoint you, but as I said before I'm a very attractive guy, not a circus freak or anything, so I don't know what a mutant is."

The rogue looked at him in disbelief. "You don't know what I'm talking about?"

"Do you want me to explain? You seem to know about the subject."
