The day after his adventure in the vampire club, Aegon sent a clone to school and slept through the morning. When he got up the first thing he did was call Ororo and he was discussing with her for a long time.
Ororo told him that she had decided to cancel the engagement and that she was willing to enter into a relationship with him, but she would like to wait a bit for now, which he accepted, he already knew that she belonged to him, and her charm was OP after all. After eating something he got dressed and went to see his future lawyer if she was lucky.
Before leaving the apartment he changed his appearance with a henge and then opened a gorge in one of the lonely alleys that he remembered was close to where he was headed.
When he arrived at the scene he checked to see if anyone had seen him and it turned out that a homeless person was in the alley and saw him. Aegon gave it no importance and left leaving the person scared by everything he had just seen. This was why he had used a henge.
He soon found himself in an old building where Jennifer Walters, a young lawyer who had recently moved from Los Angeles to New York, lived. For someone young and new to the city, it was quite difficult to get ahead, but the young woman was optimistic and she had the necessary talent. The young woman had attended Harvard and graduated with the highest praise.
When she entered the office Aegon saw the beautiful woman with brown hair and green eyes who was wearing a tight suit that highlighted a beautiful body and when she added the glasses she was wearing it made for a deadly combination. "I hope I'm not interrupting?"
"Aegon!" She responded immediately when she saw who was the person who had arrived ignoring the fact that he had entered without permission. She and the boy had become good friends when they met, in addition to the fact that she felt admiration for him, being so young he was already someone successful and earned a lot of money, this was no small thing.
"Sorry I dropped in unannounced, it's just that I was excited to see you again, I hope you can forgive me."
"Well, when you say it like that, I can't help but do it. Come have a seat." After Aegon had taken his seat Jennifer asked him the reason for his visit, she wouldn't believe it was simply because he wanted to see her again, although that would be great. When she thought the latter he quickly shook his head, thinking he was thinking nonsense.
"I hope all is going well with your newfound independence. Tell me what brings you here?"
"Even if you don't believe me, my main reason is to see you again. As I told you the first time we met, you stole my heart, so I haven't been able to forget you."
"I see you haven't changed a bit. You sure must be slaying the girls at your school. I wonder what your girlfriend would think if she heard you say that I stole your heart? Now that I remember, you said you had 4 girlfriends. Are you still with that story?" Jennifer thought it was a joke about the guy having multiple partners.
"First, I'm still the same lovely, handsome, excellent-loving boy you knew. Second, I keep myself in check at school or the rest of the boys wouldn't get a chance to experience what love is. Third, I have a heart for everyone. and they know it. Finally, there were 4 brides, now there are 6 and they will continue to increase. You have to understand that there is only one like me, so you have to share. And so you don't think it's just a story, I'll show you some photos."
Aegon got up and walked around Jennifer's nightstand and stood next to her, took his smartphone, and started showing them pictures of his hanging out with all the girls. After a few photos passed, Jennifer realized that the boy wasn't kidding. In the photos, Aegon was shown kissing the girls and in many of these, they were all in his apartment. He only appeared with only one girl in particular.
"I can't believe it. How…?" Jennifer didn't know what to ask, she didn't even know what to think.
"It's a gift. You could be the older sister."
"Very funny, a lawyer who is married to an underage ladies' man. I'm sure my reputation couldn't sink any lower after that."
"Interesting."
"What?" he asked Jennifer if he didn't understand what he was referring to.
"What worried you about my proposal was your reputation." Aegon brought her mouth close to her ear and whispered. "I'm going to remember."
Before Jennifer could say anything, he broke away from her and continued as if nothing had happened. "The other reason I'm here is to ask you a question."
"A question, what kind of question?" She asked him a little agitated and a little nervous because she didn't know why she was behaving like a young girl in front of the boy she liked, 'when that wasn't the case.
"What do you think of being a corporate lawyer?" The question took Jennifer by surprise, but she didn't take long to answer.
"Corporate lawyer, that's when you care more about what you earn than helping others."
"Someone has to represent those who have money too, I thought that justice should be for everyone."
"That's not what I mean. It's just… I think I can help more people this way. Will you tell me why you ask me something like that?"
"I wanted to hire you as my personal, full-time attorney."
"Are you looking for a lawyer or a secretary, can you explain yourself better? Besides, why do you need a full-time lawyer?"
"Do you remember Edward?"
"Mr. Smith. He is the man you work for if I remember correctly." She had now begun to think that Aegon was having problems with her supposed boss.
"Well, he's not exactly like that. It's quite the opposite." Seeing that Jennifer didn't seem to understand, he explained how everything was between him and Edward without saying where the initial money came from. At another time, Jennifer would have realized this detail, but the story seemed so unreal that she wasn't thinking straight. Right now what she thought was that the guy in front of her was some kind of genius when it came to investing.
"Let me understand, you couldn't do any of this because you were underage and didn't want to involve your guardian Helen, so you decided to find someone to do it for you."
"Exactly, that's where Edward comes into this story, I met him when he was unemployed and I asked him to be my figurehead."
"You did what? Then that means Mr. Smith's entire fortune is yours!"
"Clever girl."
"I'm older than you!" Jennifer was silent in thought for a moment. "I don't know what to say, I don't know whether to scold you because what they did is a crime or praise you for being able to achieve so much at such a young age."
"I'd rather you praise me because I'm the type to give the spanking and not the type to take it."
"There is always a first time." She answered her. "You still haven't told me what you want. Has your accomplice betrayed you?"
"No, Edward is an honest person." When Jennifer heard that she couldn't help but scoff. "Don't make fun, you talk about a crime, but 'I don't remember hurting or taking anything from anyone. Everything has been legal, I decided what investments I wanted to make and Edward made them for me."
Seeing that Jennifer wanted to argue that what she was saying was not correct, Aegon continued without giving her time to speak. "Now that I'm independent there's no need to continue this charade so Edward will start passing everything on to me."
"It's because of all this that I want you to come work for me. I want you to take care of everything. Also, I want to start my own car company. Right now I don't have many people I trust, but you are one of them."
"Do you want me to take care of the whole procedure?"
"Exactly, I want you to be in charge of the entire legal procedure. Also, like all millionaires, I need to have my lawyer and I want it to be you. I'm going to sponsor your firm. What do you say?"
"It's all so sudden, I don't know what to say. Why do you want to sponsor my firm?"
"I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm pretty good at investing." In my dreams, I thought. "I think a law firm under your direction is an excellent investment. Besides, I'll let you buy me out once you're able to carry on without my capital. I don't think you'll be able to receive an offer like this again in your life."
"Yeah, I don't think so either. Could you give me a few days? Just to think about the firm's proposal, I'm more than happy to be your full-time attorney."
"Okay, I'll have Edward get in touch with you. I don't know if you keep it, but this is my number."
"Now that the business talk is over, how about we have lunch together."
Jennifer stared at him in silence until he let out a sigh. "Okay, but only because I want to hear a little more about that company you want to start." In this way, they both went to a nearby restaurant that Jennifer recommended.
