The reason why we are doing this it's because the attack they have done on our base has criple many important structures including the necessary to make drinkable water. Because of the rough road and bad infrastructure, I am only authorized to send a few Elite troops we have, use them wisely"

Main Objective:

- Destroy all machines in the area

- Capture the dam

Bonus objective:

- All Unit Survive

....

As the drop pods streaked through the night sky, their fiery descent filled the air with anticipation. Though they might have seemed like ordinary projectiles to an untrained eye, the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) recognized them as symbols of reinforcement. Nine pods crashed into the ground, shaking the earth upon impact.

As the smoke dissipated, the hatch of each pod burst open with a resounding hiss, revealing their occupants—the elite soldiers of the GDI, the Zone Troopers, and Zone Raiders. Without hesitation, they unleashed a barrage of shots upon the disoriented machines, catching the enemy off guard once again and further decimating their forces.

"Talk about making an entrance!" exclaimed one of the Zone Raiders, excitement and adrenaline lacing his voice as he fired his Sonic grenade launcher.

Laser beams and explosive projectiles rained down upon the disoriented machines, tearing apart their circuits and armor. The Zone Troopers and Zone Raiders wasted no time capitalizing on the opportunity, swiftly turning the tide of battle in their favor.

Surveying the wreckage of the machines, the soldiers recognized the significant advantage their sudden appearance had provided. With the immediate danger neutralized, they regrouped around the drop pods, their breathing heavy but triumphant.

"It never gets old," another soldier chimed in, his voice filled with the thrill of deployment.

A transmission crackled through their communication devices, carrying the authoritative voice of EVA, the GDI's tactical AI.

-----

"The machine presence in this area is exceptionally high. Your objective is to eliminate all enemy machines to secure the area for an engineering team to repair the dam."

-----

"Let's not waste any more time," Squad Leader said, his voice laced with urgency. "We have a mission to complete. Move out!"

As Commander White and I observed the GDI elite troops, the Zone Troopers and Zone Raiders, moving swiftly and skillfully through the machine-infested area, a mix of concern filled Commander White.

"Commander White, how are our troop's capabilities?" I asked, leaning back in my chair, my eyes fixed on the live feed displaying the soldiers in action.

Dropping straight to the enemy territory, only General Elena C. Elena could think of that kind of plan.

Currently, I am at the Command Post, and it is bustling with activity as operators coordinated and relayed information.

Since that day I and Commander White have been discussing plenty of issues one of which is to let a human soldier join the war.

"Repairing the dam..." Commander White muttered under her breath, her gaze fixed on the map displaying the Kure Dam — our primary objective. If we could capture and repair it, we would secure a vital source of electricity and resolve the water shortage issues that have been plaguing us.

After the recapture of Hiroshima, Commander White and the rest of the Generals were not happy with my action.

I questioned why they wouldn't be happy considering the victory we achieved.

They argued that only androids were allowed to confront the machines head-on.

But a morale boost was something they don't want to Miss so it's all good, but I doubt they are going to let go of this.

There was also uncertainty in the eyes of the androids, hesitant to involve humanity in the war.

Of course, the natural respond of most of them choose was not to involve us Human at all.

There was even a rumor that if there is a vote 98% of the world would agree to not involve human at all in this fight and let them at a safe area.

It was frustrating, When I heard this kind of new.

Because of this reason, It has become a common trouble I have to face when talking with Commander White or several generals of the Army Of humanity about this topic.

But after this battle, I want to demonstrate that we are not entirely helpless and can fight alongside them.

"This is also a good way to show that we humans can fight machines equally," I remarked, the importance of this mission.

I turned to Commander White, noticing the worry etched on her face.

After a bit of silent, she respond "Commander Ken, I understand what you meant, but we must also consider the risks involved," Commander White cautioned, her tone measured. "While your soldiers are skilled, they are not invincible. Sending them into battle now would be reckless,

"Let us androids do the fight."

...That's why I despise the mindset that dominates androids' thoughts.

'Androids are the ones that fight'

'Sit back and let us deal with the machine'

'Don't worry! We will make sure to reclaim this world.'

WE ARE NOT SOME PETS THAT NEED TO BE PROTECTED!

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS I WILL FUCKING TAKE BACK THE PLANET.

"Commander White, I share your worries about the safety of our soldiers," I acknowledged, my voice filled with empathy.

My eyes then glue back at the Zone Trooper and Zone Raider that is currently in the battle.

"But It's time to break free from our restrictions and show them that we humans are not to be underestimated."

"That's why continue monitoring the troop's progress," I loudly said, "We will not be confined to the shadows any longer. It's time for us to rise and take the fight to the machines."

"Understood Commander!" loud echoing from the room

Now... show us your ability that we humans are not helpless at all in this fight.

Beneath the open sky, the Zone Troopers and Zone Raiders swiftly spread out across the plain land. The air crackled with anticipation as they faced a new wave of machines charging toward them.

The Zone Troopers raised their railguns, their humming energy a prelude to the imminent destruction. Their eyes locked onto the vulnerable spots on the machines, and with precision, they unleashed a barrage of shots.

Each round found its mark, piercing through armor with accuracy. Machine after machine fell to the ground, their circuits fried and spark dancing in the air.

Undeterred, the remaining machines closed in on the GDI Force, their movements mirroring a relentless marathon even after seeing their fellow brethren destroy beside them. Red energy balls flew toward the GDI forces, a desperate attempt to halt their advance. But the Zone Raiders were ready.

With calculated efficiency, the Zone Raiders activated their sonic grenade launchers. Explosions erupted around them, sending shockwaves rippling through the battlefield. The wide area of effect wreaked havoc, tearing machines apart and scattering their shattered remains across the landscape.

"In the skies! Flying type machines!" a Zone Raider called out, his voice cutting through the chaos.

Without hesitation, the Zone Raiders swiftly adjusted their focus, activating the dual SAM launchers mounted on their backs. Guided missiles streaked through the air, homing in on their targets with deadly accuracy. Explosions blossomed in the sky as enemy aircraft met their demise, their presence reduced to nothing more than falling debris.

With the immediate threat neutralized, the Zone Troopers and Zone Raiders regrouped, their movements seamless and synchronized. They left behind a trail of machine parts, a testament to their unyielding assault.

A moment of respite lingered in the air, but the soldiers knew that their mission was far from over. They exchanged a few glances, and continue running to the dam.

/

The Zone Troopers and Zone Raiders arrived at the dam, swiftly dispatching the remaining machines that stood in their way with ease. Their coordinated assault left a trail of destruction in their wake, clearing the area with ruthless efficiency.

But their moment of triumph was short-lived as a warning echoed through their scanners. The energy signature registered as dangerously high, raising alarm among the soldiers. The ground beneath them seemed to tremble in anticipation.

"I am reading a high energy source," the voice relayed through their communication devices, its urgency palpable.

Equipped with advanced scanner packs, the troops had a greater range to detect and identify units within a 500-meter radius. Their hearts raced as they braced themselves for what awaited them.

"This energy source..."

As they spoke, a deafening crash echoed in the distance, sending tremors through the ground. A collective hush fell over the soldiers as they turned their gaze toward the origin of the sound. Dread filled their eyes as they locked onto the massive silhouette that emerged from the smoke and debris.

One of them, his voice laden with grim, uttered the words they all dreaded to hear. "It's the Goliath Spider!"

The Goliath Spider, a monstrous machine of formidable size and power, stood before them. Its multiple legs carried it across the terrain, emitting energy pulses that allowed it to glide with eerie grace. Armed with colossal blades and weapon racks filled with missiles and projectiles, it posed a grave threat to the GDI forces.

"Cih, I guess it won't be that easy." He glances at the troops "You know the drill move out!"

With railguns humming with energy, the Zone Troopers took aim, their hands steady despite the adrenaline coursing through their veins.

They knew that a single misstep could cost them their lives. With deadly accuracy, they targeted the vulnerable spots on the Goliath Spider, aiming to pierce through its armor.

Simultaneously, the Zone Raiders unleashed a barrage of sonic grenades, the explosive blasts reverberating through the air. The ground shook as the concussive force battered against the Goliath Spider's metallic frame.

But the Goliath Spider was relentless. It retaliated with a flurry of devastating attacks, its massive blades slicing through the Zone Trooper shot with deadly precision at rapid.

The Zone Trooper who saw this was in disbelief "Oh come on, what kind of bullshit is this!"

But that did not deter the Zone Trooper as they continue shooting.

Railgun rounds continued to find their mark, impacting with explosive force. Yet, the Goliath Spider seemed undeterred, its menacing presence unyielding.

The soldiers' fear mingled, their hearts pounding in their chests as they fought for their lives.

The Zone Raiders, driven by sheer desperation, intensified their assault. Dual SAM launchers unleashed a torrent of missiles, targeting the Goliath Spider's airborne maneuvers. Explosions rocked the battlefield as the projectiles found their mark, inflicting damage and momentarily throwing the mechanical behemoth off balance.

But the Goliath Spider fought back with unrelenting fury. It unleashed its spin attack, its spherical form hurtling toward the soldiers with lethal force cut thing one of the Zone Raiders and broke the formation of the troops.

Panic gripped their hearts as they scattered, desperately evading the deadly onslaught. The battlefield became a chaotic dance of survival, each soldier relying on their instincts to avoid being crushed or killed.

One by one, one troop was killed by the Goliath Spider blade as their scream echoing.

Before the Goliath Spider could get any closer, a Zone Raider reacted swiftly, hurling an EMP grenade toward the mechanical giant. The explosive device detonated with a thunderous TSARRR, unleashing a surge of electrical energy that coursed through the Goliath Spider's metallic body. The massive machine convulsed and faltered, its movements abruptly halted.

As the electrical currents coursed across its frame, the Goliath Spider's mechanical legs and double-edged sword became immobilized. The once formidable machine now lay helpless on the ground, its power drained by the EMP grenade.

The Goliath perceived the sound of footsteps and turned its gaze to witness the Zone Troopers and Raiders aiming their railguns and sonic grenade launchers at it. Each shot and explosion served as a cathartic release, a way to vent their frustrations and defy the machines that had caused immense devastation and loss.

With every round fired and each explosive impact, the soldiers unleashed their pent-up anger upon the motionless machine. The air was filled with the resounding blasts of railgun fire and the concussive force of sonic grenades.

The Goliath Spider was reduced to the scattered metal before their astonished eyes.

As the soldiers took a moment to catch their breath, Bravo approached the fallen machine, his voice tinged with relief. "That was a close call. I can't believe the EMP grenade did the trick."

Zone Trooper Charlie joined him, his eyes fixed on the motionless machine. "We were lucky this time. That thing was a monster."

"Yeah," Bravo agreed, his voice filled with a mixture of exhaustion and gratitude.

A solemn silence enveloped them, the realization sinking in that they were the sole survivors among the original 24 Zone Troopers and Raiders.

Just then, the commanding officer's voice resounded through their communication devices. "Zone Raider Bravo, Zone Trooper Charlie, outstanding work neutralizing the Goliath Spider. The dam is secure, and repairs are already underway. You have proven yourselves to be invaluable assets to the Global Defense Initiative (GDI)."

Meanwhile at the Command Center

...Shit, that was close.

I barely manage to stop Commander White from snapping and sending her own YoRHa force

It was indeed a victory, but there are still casualties.

And a human casualty that Commander White does not consider a victory.

"Look Commander White please this is a normal thing to expect when soldiers fight," I said trying to calm her down

She then snaps her head to me with full of her furry "I told you that this was a bad idea-"
