03 Who is back?

In an underworld supernatural kingdom called Kazarath where a celebration is going on. The king, king Aries, holds a celebration of his successful twenty one years. There is a lot of food and drinks, people are wining and dining but they look unhappy. Suffering is evident on their face. Something is amiss among them and it's evident that they all need freedom.

King Aries of Kazarath sat on his throne watching his subject jubilating with a dark aura hovering around him. Commotion can be heard outside which sets a confused look on the king's face when suddenly a woman barges in. She looks more like a shaman, a witch. She barged in speaking nonsense and was happy for no reason. She went towards the drinks, poured herself some wine and empty the content in her stomach.

"My king, we tried to stop her but to no avail. She insisted on seeing you, ``a guard said.

"Let her be. Let us all hear what she has to say. Maybe she wants to join the party. Woman! U are free to join" King Aries replied smirking.

The wizard laughed. Everyone watched on with a confused look.

"Aries!!, Your reign will soon come to an end because they are back, I can feel them, I can feel their presence. They are back. They will raid you off your seat, your power. You will be nothing. He will not spare you" she laughed and went closer to Aries and spat on me. "We will be free. Kazarath will be free. Aries, this will be your last time of celebrating so party wisely, spend ur limited time wisely because people of Kazarath, our saviors are back" The shaman said.

The people began to murmur to themselves.

"What's she saying? My king, I think she has lost all her senses. The torture u made her go through has made her like this. She has lost it, my king. Pay no attention to her" chief magnus said.

The king stood up violently raging with anger. "Lead her to the execution spot and behead her. Present her head to her family. I don't want to see her" They all rushed and grabbed her, leading her away.

"Whether you behead me or not, it won't increase nor decrease the remaining days you have on earth. The truth will always stand. I won't beg you Aries because you aren't worthy of it. The pain and suffering you will receive will be more than what we all received. Spend your remaining days wisely, that's my only advice to you" They dragged her out directly to the execution spot to carry out the King's order.

"You can all carry on, there is nothing to worry about" chief magnus said.

"Magnus, summon zayn to my chamber NOW!" King Aries said and barged into the inner chamber.

(In the King's chamber)

"My king, you summoned me," zayn said, bowing slightly.

"What is that witch ranting on? What is happening that I don't know, hun? The king ranted obviously frustrated.

Zayn knelt down feeling scared of the King's temper.

"My king, I am so sorry I didn't tell you this. I wanted to confirm but I think it's time I tell you. I couldn't tell you because it's unbelievable to accept. My king, two weeks ago, I….I felt their presence. And it's getting stronger. My king, th…. they a.. are alive"

" Who? Who are you talking about?

Zayn didn't give a reply. The king stood up and took two steps backward shaken with fear.

"Don't tell me it's them. No… No… It can't be. The witch! That's what she meant".

Aries sat down and gulped down some water.

"Summon Noel for me. She must hear about this. It's impossible."

"I can't. She is busy. She uses her power less often". Zayn replied.

"Then go tell her. She must have heard about this, ``he shouted. Zayn stood up and scurried off.

"It's impossible. They are dead. I killed them".

Jace POV

"Sir, we got a call from the Urlacher's company and they are willing to partner with us. Our file has been reviewed and we are chosen, ``my secretary Vanessa said.

"Really, that's good news. Our hard work really did pay off. Today's lunch is on me. Pass the announcement". I said happily. Partnering with the Urlacher company is of great benefit to us. I have to celebrate with my family.

"And sir, Mr. Urlacher wants to see you tomorrow to talk about some things. About 10:00 am sir and with the McKenna's too. They are partnering with the Urlachers". She said, McKenna's, Noel! Fuck!.

"Oh, okay then. You've done a great job for the past week. Take a two weeks leave".

"Oh, really sir. Thank u so much sir" she said and went out.

Noah! Eisssh…. I brushed it off. I glanced at the time and 4:00 pm. I should go home to celebrate with my family. I stood up, picked up my jacket and briefcase ready to go home. I picked up my phone on my way out to tell my wife about it.

I got into my car and my driver kicked off. Have been wanting this partnership for the past two years and now I got it. Am so happy. Noel isn't a problem, I will ignore her. But I have a feeling that this is the beginning of my problems. But should I cancel the partnership because of her. No, I can't do that. I looked up and saw a boy crossing the road. Oh My God!

"Waaaaaiiiit!!". I screamed, fear of my car hitting the boy. I stepped out of the car with my driver.

"Sir, the car didn't hit him. He was lucky". I went closer to him and picked him up. He is around my youngest daughter's age. The aura around him is strange and uncomfortable.

"Are u okay?". He shrugged my hand off his body. He nodded and scurried off.

"Wait! Wait!" I called out but he didn't glance back.

"Sir, let him be. After all, he wasn't hurt by the car". My driver said and got in.

"Yea, he wasn't" I muttered a reply and got into the car. He looked strange even though he looked normal.

Melissa's POV

"Melissa!" My mum called barging into my room.

"Mum" I whined getting up from the bed.

"Take this and go to the grocery shop nearby and get it for me. Your dad just got a partnership with the urlacher. That's his dream for two years. Aren't you happy? Why aren't you smiling? Hun''

"Mum, all that you wrote on this list is at home and why can't you send one of the maids. You know I don't like going out at all".

"Oh please, you should be happy. Come here." She pulled me closer and sat me down. Then she packed my hair into a high ponytail and picked up the powder… I stood up abruptly.

"Mum! What are you doing?"

"To look good. My baby, please go get this groceries. Just go outside and don't hide your face. Stop being so introverted. It's getting too much". Hmph… I knew it!

"Okay mum I will but not with this powder. Drop it mum" I collected it from her and dropped it on my table. "I will go".

"And you won't hide your face"

"I won't mum" she smiled widely.

"Okay dress up". She said and went out.

Oh God, what should I do? I hate going outside and not hiding my face?. I glanced around and my eyes landed on a face cap.

"Yea, I will use this" I said and picked it up. I went outside successfully without sighting my mom.

I rechecked the list. We have all this at home. I looked up and kept strolling to the grocery store. My mind drifted to Mason. He kept staring at me in school. I'm sure he was looking at how weird I am. I know I am weird , yes but he should quit looking at me that way. I'm damn sure he and his horrified cute looking guard does make jest of me behind me.

SPLASH! SPLASH!

Oh God. A car just splashed dirt on me. Oh no! Dirt is all over me. How will I walk around? I looked up and noticed the car stopped. A man got down with his driver.

"So sorry miss, I am so sorry about this". He looks familiar but I can't point out where I've met him. He is in his forties. Even though old, he still looks handsome.

"No problem sir, it's nothing".

"No miss. U can't walk around like this. Please let me take you to a boutique to change your dress, please don't turn down my offer." What? I don't even know him.

" U dont have to worry about that sir and I don't even know u" I said.

" I won't do you any harm. Am Mr Urlacher and am just concerned about you going home this way" ohh… So he is Mason's father. The owner of our school. I felt a cold wind sweep through me.

"O..okay sir" I stammered and got into the car.

He stopped at a boutique and he gave me his jacket which I used to cover my body. He took me in and told the workers to change my dress. My dress was changed into a simple dress I chose and he bought some dresses for me. I was really grateful to him and he drove me home. I thanked him and got out of his car. That was when I remembered the groceries. oh my god… The list? I think I dropped it on the road.

But we have it at home so it doesn't mean, right. I smiled and went inside.

"Melissa, why are you late? What were you doing? I thought I lost you?". She came close to me worried. I sighted dad and rushed to meet him

"Oh dear, how are you? How was school today?"

"Fine dad, I heard you partnered with the Urlacher's. That's great dad, I am proud of you ''. I said smiling. I love my dad so much.

"I'm proud of you too. Why were you late?"

"Nothing dad".

"Jace, common let's eat" my mom called.

I didn't want to tell them about it and mom didnt see me leave the house which means she doesn't know the dress on me changed. I have so many dresses so she won't notice it ain't mine.

I went closer and joined them with my Lil brother and sis. There was a lot of food on the table and it looked Like a feast. We were celebrating something but isn't this too much?

"Mum, isn't this too much"

"Sydney, call everyone and the security man. We should all feast"
