Chapter Twenty eight
They finally had the last sand dragon in sight and from the air they could see Karla on it, she wasn't particularly tied down to the dragon but she didn't seem to be able to escape as she simply sat there.
"ok we've found her, what do we do now" Viper asked as the they came forward and watched it move through the sand swiftly
"we can't come with you, or they'll know something's of easily, we'll be hidden in the sand if you need us" Alexandra said
"hey wait" Ryoko called
"is there anything else we can do for you?" she asked
"actually yes, could you talk to your sister? I believe you three should have some kind of mind link or something to each other" Ryoko said
"talk to her? About what?" Liana asked
"if we end up in a fight, we won't Attack you three as long as you and your sister do not engage in it"
"fine we'll leave now, princess" the two dragons quickly dove to the ground plunging into the sand quickly and quietly not alerting the any body.
"we still don't actually have a plan you know that right?" Viper said
"we don't need a complicated plan or even a plan at all" Ryoko said standing and tying her hair in a pony tail
"are you mad, or are you trying to be" Viper asked
"I have to agree with Viper now" Haru said
"actually she's right" they turned to look at Tatsuya in confusion
"what?" they both asked
"there are only two men on the Dragon" Tatsuya said pointing downwards
"wait I didn't notice" Viper said looking over
"but what does the number of people have to do with a plan that won't get us killed" Elena asked
"you guys are pretty hard headed" Tatsuya said earning a growl from Viper
"the two men down there from what I can tell are quite inexperienced to say the least, they aren't hunters like the ones we escaped back in Opwood, they are more like traders, they'll sell anything that has enough value in the world, they're headed to the big city that's for sure" Ryoko said squatting and looking down at them
"in other words, they can't fight even if their lives depended on it" Tatsuya said folding his arms
"so we ambush them, from the air, as long as Otaku doesn't attack we'll be just fine" Ryoko said
"wow how you got that all from just looking at them is beyond me" Haru said
'the mistress is so smart, I must continue to learn from her, as much as I possibly can' Elena thought
'she's so serious all of a sudden, give me a break how can a person be so unpredictable'
"you guys ready?" Ryoko asked as Silver hovered above the dragon
"ready" they all said
"Silver will you come back for us?" Ryoko said
"just say my name, princess" Ryoko smiled before nodding to the others and they all jumped.
They a landed as softly as they could on the dragon careful not to hurt it.
"hey do feel that?"
"those brats must be close by"
"yeah close by" both men turned to see the five standing behind them
"it's the rest of the brats"
"say that one more time I dare you" Viper said getting in a fighting stance
"don't" Ryoko said
"I said it's the brats, the weaklings led by a kid who can't even use miri" Ryoko's raised a brow
"have fun" she said releasing Viper who lunged at him
"Otaku are you so dormant now help us!" the first man shouted, the dragon turned to look at them stopping her movement, the group stopped to look at her getting ready for an attack but she simply nodded at them before starting to move at a faster rate
"well, well, well" Tatsuya smirked before lunging at the second
"look there's Karla" Elena said, Haru and Ryoko followed her to the Dragons headto see Karla sitting dejectedly there
"Karla!" Ryoko said as Elena went to get her but was immediately stopped by a shield of electricity
"you can't get through it's impenetrable unless I say so" the man fighting with Tatsuya said as he was pinned to the Dragons back
"what do we do" Haru asked looking to Ryoko who looked unbothered
"Ryoko?" she walked to the shield before passing right through disabling it
"you okay?" she Karla with a look of concern
"Ryoko!" they hugged each other while everybody else looked at them in awe
'mistress' Elena thought
'okay hard core' Viper thought
'never seen a girl like that' Tatsuya said smirking
"so what do we do with these kidnappers" Haru asked as the men struggled fearing what would happen, Ryoko walked to them and squatted to be face to face with them
"don't hurt us, we did it for the money, we're sorry please!" the second man struggled pleading
"what? Hurt you? I wouldn't think of that, I was actually gonna ask how you'd get back or are you gonna continue to the big city" she asked with a big smile
'what the hell? Why does she look so, unjudging, she doesn't even care' the first man thought
"actually we are going to continue to the big city, oww!!, if we live long enough" the second man said glaring at Viper who had twisted his arm harder behind his back
"oh guys let them go, I assume you'll continue with Otaku, Liana and Alexandra huh?" the men looked at her shocked as they stood up wondering how they knew their names
"Otaku stop" the dragon stopped moving and everyone got of her back
"we'll use a sand sailor, I think they've helped us enough" the first man said, they watched the dragon transfer before them into a beautiful red head, the other two rose out of the sand
"oh wow you guys are really pretty" Ryoko said
"thank you, since we are free now, we'll take our leave" the three bowed before disappearing to the ground, the group turned to see the men with their sailor
"well goodbye" they said disappearing into the dust
"I don't understand everything that's just happened but right now I would like to sleep" Viper said
"Silver!" the water spirit appeared immediately it was called,
"wow, how much have I missed?" Karla asked
"Trust me I would've preferred to be in your place to be honest" Viper said as they all got on it's silvery blue fur.
It was now night time in the desert Haru, Elena, Viper and Karla had already fallen asleep, Tatsuya was staring at the sky reminiscing the activities today, Ryoko couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep, so she laid awake
"you're still awake aren't you?" Tatsuya asked
"I can't sleep but it's fine" Tatsuya looked at her concerned
"no it isn't fine, you've stayed up for God knows how many hours trying to find Karla and now you have. You should rest" she sighed with a small pout, Tatsuya sighed
"come here" she got up looking at him confused before going over to him, he took her into his arms and cuddled her into his chest, she listened to his steady soft breathing slowly falling asleep, he looked to her face staring at her for a while before blinking a few times deciding to go to sleep
'yup I've never met a girl like this'
