CHAPTER 2- TEN YEARS

The day was bright with no signs a rainy weather impending anyone from going out of their houses to do there normal chores. Children playing around with there friends. Adults doing their respective jobs. Women and men walking around buying and eating food they got from the vendors. Guards patrolling the city.

And I was about to go to the guild to turn in the monster carcass that I killed during my quest to kill some goblins and some flame wolf that were attacking a near by village.

"Hey Mira" I said after I got close enough to the reception.

"Aurora! it's to good to have you back!" she said smiling at me.

Mira is one of the few people that I can call my friend here in this medium size city.

"Yes I'm back and here are the carcasses from the monsters that I killed."

"That's Great now that you killed them that village will be safe for a while.

I just smiled without saying anything

"now can you give me your adventuring card so that I can get you all fix up." Mira said

" yeah sure, here you go." I said as I hand over my card.

Mira taking it from my hand said "okay everything looks good from here"

Mira said after putting it in some magic device.

"The 15 goblins carcasses are of about 75 copper coins and then the flame wolf carcasses would be 96 copper coins a total of 1 small silver coins and 21 copper coins.

"Thank you Mira" I said after taking the money

"I'll see you soon Mira"

"of course I'll see you around Aurora"

After that I left and went to a small house located near the slump area.

upon entering I was greeted with a smell of cooking food. *grumble* I heard the sound of my stomach grumbling because of the smell of food that being cook inside the pot inside the kitchen.

"welcome back aurora"

"I'm back" I replied

"go wash yourself you look like you been bathing on mud for the whole day hahaha"

"I'm not that dirty ray"

"I know I know I'm just teasing but I'm serious about the bath. once your out the food will be ready"

I was about to reply but once I look at that man the night that I tried to forget resurface. The night where I lost everything I ever known and everyone that I ever loved the night I experience my first betrayal were the man in front of me lost is right eye just to saved me the night I was supposed to die didn't happen.

Because of some mysterious intervention. I didn't die like I was expecting. I don't cleary remember everything that night because while fighting with my magic I was knocked unconscious by something but before losing consciousness I saw a white haired man he was saying something but I couldn't fully understand him all I hear at that time was a muffled voice of the white haired man.

Upon noticing the look on my face a big and sturdy hands pat my head and all that dangerous thought went away as quickly it came.

Ray said "it's all in the past aurora or should I say princess of the moon Luna Artemis von Yggdrasill"

upon hearing that name my eyes shined with untold power for a few seconds before anyone could notice my eyes I threw a punch at him for teasing me naturally he dodge it with relatively ease.

"hahhahbahaha I was only joking come on now"

"hmph" I said while turning my head away from him

after all that I gave him some money I made for the expenses here for the house. I came out of the bathroom smelling the freshly cook beef stew. while eating we also talk about our day.

Ray is also a guard here in this city but today is his day off so he was able to cook for us today. I thought today will also be another day we go on our usual day but he suddenly said.

"Aurora I am going on a journey to find my wife and daughter on the human continent terranium."

I was so shock to hear that they were still alive today because I know that ten year ago his wife and daughter were held captives so that they can use them as leverage against ray and the other knights to take my head to the other empire that invaded us. but unfortunately for them his wife wasn't any ordinary house wife before she became one she was a rank A adventurer in her time so she was able to escape with the other knights family that were held captives. but I thought that it would take more time for him to find his wife and daughter because of that incident. but it looks like they found a way to go to the human continent safety.

"you can do what you want you are not my knight anymore I am just an ordinary "human" girl now. And I am planning to find myself a master we all know that the battle for the dragons blessings is near and everyone that can participate will also be making there move." I said with a smile on my face.

"I see so you already have plans for the future."

"I do, so when are you going to live?" I asked

"as soon as possible." he said

"then we better prepared for our journey huh ray."

"indeed."

With that in mind a week had passed and we soon said our goodbyes to the friends we made in this city.

in another location where trees are riddle with arrows. a women with untold beauty is seen drawing her bow to take a shot at a moving deer. The women then fired her arrow at the deer without the slightest mistake not long before the arrow hit it's mark right in the head killing it.

after taking the meat she went inside the woods where you can find a small cottage like house sitting here in this warm environment. Suddenly her aquamarine eyes glimmerd whilst looking in a certain direction of our beautiful night princess.

"I'll be waiting for you. She said in a soft and kind voice.
