Chapter 3 - Subordinates

"Your name is Shiro! You will be my Servant, and will be my right hand in the future!" I said with authority.

I arbitrarily chose her name, even though I only determined it from the color of his hair!!

She started crying!! Hey did I say something that hurt her?

"Thank you!"

"Huh?"

"Thank you, Your Majesty Astaroth! I will not waste this honor!" she said while crying.

Humm, did it make her so happy that it made her cry? Well, maybe it's her 100% loyalty effect.

However, I was still annoyed when she called me "Astaroth". My understanding of Astaroth in my previous world was terrible, so I didn't want to look like that.

"Hey, Shiro. Just call me Asta. I feel bad when you call me Astaroth."

"No way! How could I be presumptuous by mentioning your short name, Your Majesty!" she immediately answered confidently.

Ahh, this is the effect of her loyalty right? In that case-

"I order you to call me Asta, and talk and act with me like an ordinary friend!" uhh, I did.

"W-what?! Calling your s-short name?!! And acting like a friend?!!" she looks flushed.

I also looked at him sharply, showing my seriousness.

She then patted her already red face, then her expression returned to normal. Instead it becomes flatter.

"S-alright. Is this enough, Mr. Asta?"

"Ughh..." I somehow managed to hold back the nosebleed from inside my nose.

She's cute.

No. She's too cute!!!

I'm not a lolicon, but when she does, it really captivates me.

Does he have the [Charm] skill? No, no! I checked that she doesn't have that skill!

"Masters?" she has now changed her call.

"Yes. That's good. Umm. Very good." I'm trying to stay calm here!

Oh yes! This is no time to relax! If I continue like this, I may die from being attacked by humans or other Demon Lords!

"So Shiro, please-"

"His Majesty the Demon King Astaroth!!"

I heard the door open, then a man with horns and wings behind him appeared hastily.

I saw the sword sheathed on the side, and the thin armor wrapped around the body.

It seems he is my subordinate that the Goddess said.

"My apologies for not welcoming you properly, Your Majesty the Demon King Astaroth. I beg you, pardon my negligence." he bowed solemnly at the end of the steps in front of my throne.

From the tone of her voice, she was truly sorry, and her legs were also involved in shaking. Is he really that scared?

"Humm. I don't care. That way, who knows about my resurrection?" I answered flatly. Of course, in an authoritative voice.

Hearing my question, he trembled even more.

Somehow, I could see the sweat running down his neck and forehead.

"My deepest apologies, Your Majesty!! Me and the rest of the citizens didn't expect your awakening, so no one knew but me! I always kept an eye on the "core" and immediately ran over here when it responded!"

He is now prostrating.

"At least, at least don't blame the people for their ignorance! I beg your generosity to just punish me!!!" he shouted.

Oi oi! What kind of thinking is that! How could anyone slaughter their people over such a trivial matter?!

Ahh, maybe because the previous Demon King Astaroth did that, huh?

"I'm not going to do that. Since no one knows yet, that's good. I have some conditions." I said as I walked down.

It would be weird if I didn't look angry here, so I changed my speech slightly, looking annoyed. Maybe not enough to fool them, or maybe enough? I saw Shiro tremble at the sight of me!!

"Is there a library here?" I said in a low tone.

"Y-Yes, it's just that it's located in the city and is very limited. I can request that the library be moved here on your orders." he answered quickly.

I'm glad something important like that wasn't removed, but I wanted to do something else.

To become a King, I must know the state of my territory, the state of my people, and the economy of my own Kingdom. And with the unknown of my resurrection I can see for myself without any falsehood.

"I will be there."

"By the way, what's your name?" I touched the man1@@'s shoulder just now.

"Sebastian, Your Majesty."

Uwahh, a name that often comes out as a great butler. I'm happy with the arrangement. That is interesting!

Ugh. My stomach growled a little. I slightly prayed that Sebastian wouldn't hear.

"Sebas. Can you prepare some food for me and Shiro?" I raised my eyebrows.

I didn't say who Shiro was, but he would understand.

"Fine! I will prepare as best I can!"

"Wait! Don't overdo it. And remember this. Don't let my resurrection be known to anyone but you. That is your first commandment." I narrowed my eyes at him.

And I also put pressure in my voice, so he understands that this is important. Hopefully.

"Shiro. While eating, sit next to me. This is an order. I don't want rejection." I turned towards Shiro.

I purposely said that in front of Sebas, so he wouldn't be seen as presumptuous for eating next to me.

But it seemed that I said something strange, making Sebas who was there widen his eyes, and Shiro was also surprised.

Is my request that strange?

"Understood, Master." he answered slowly.
