Aftermath

The destruction that had been wrought upon the town was unmistakably catastrophic. The buildings surrounding the Ten Thousand Feet Wide Town Square now bore an uncanny resemblance to ancient ruins.

As his eyes roved over the town square, Luo Yin pondered, "While the town walls remain standing, the edifices in every section bordering the town square have suffered great damage."

Luo Yin mused, taking in the aftermath of destruction around him. "The Grand Tower still stands, although its proximity to the crater is troubling."

Luo Yin couldn't help but regretfully acknowledge the extent of the destruction. "The number of individuals injured in this catastrophic event is undoubtedly high," he thought, troubled by the aftermath.

"This is a big mishap, Jia Lin and the others are working on the restoration. It would take quite a bit of effort but we should be able to finish it by tomorrow."

His gaze then returned to look at Mei Ling, who was, despite everything, smiling at him gently.

With a sense of duty and humility, Luo Yin bowed his head to Mei Ling. "We sincerely apologize for the damage wrought upon this town," he stated, his words suffused with empathy.

Mei Ling's eyes widened with surprise for a moment before she spoke, "Please do not be too hard on yourself. Your assistance during our time of crisis is incredibly valuable. Although the damage inflicted upon the town is significant, your aid is far more meaningful," she continued, "Please do not be overly concerned about it."

Luo Yin sighed inwardly, "That's foolish thinking," he thought, shaking his head in disagreement.

"In any case, I think that we'll be able to restore the buildings back to their original state soon enough with our combined effort."

"Please do not trouble yourself with it, I kindly request that you return to your hotel and rest for the night. If you have any queries, please save them for tomorrow," she said, smiling warmly.

"That is unacceptable," Mu Kongdong interjected, "Jia Lin and the others are already on work, we have caused this damage as such we are the ones who must solve it as well, Miss Mei."

"Indeed. It would be a stain on our names if we don't," Zhang Yu added.

"That is right, we cannot back off from this," Chang Jianhong added as well.

Mei Ling seemed to hesitate for a moment but after listening to all of their wishes, she reluctantly agreed to let them help.

"Very well, please feel free to do as you wish," She said, maintaining her gentle smile.

"Good. However, what would you have us do with this individual?" Luo Yin inquired, directing his gaze towards the shadowy figure.

"If possible, please render him immobile," Mei Ling replied.

"Understood," Luo Yin acknowledged, shifting his focus towards Zhang Yu and signaling him with a gesture. "Render him immobile." He said.

Zhang Yu nodded in response to Luo Yin's signal, comprehending his intentions.

In a flash, he vanished and reappeared behind the shadowy figure, rendering him immobile with a single swift strike.

After dealing with the dark figure, all of them worked together in the restoration of the buildings that had collapsed, surprisingly their work was done in about six hours and they still had about four to five hours to rest.

They returned to the hotel to rest for the little time they were left with, though there was not much peace due to the commotion within the hotel.

"What is happening here?" Mu Kongdong asked with a surprised expression.

"I wonder," Luo Yin replied.

"There was none in the hotel premises before but now there are so many, why is that?" He wondered as he observed the large number of people gathered in the hotel.

"Can I help you people somehow?" A voice came from behind them.

Upon turning around, they found the manager behind them, it was unexpected.

"Well, who are all these people?" Mu Kongdong asked.

"Oh they are the people who have booked rooms in this hotel just like yourselves, why, is there any trouble?" The Manager asked with a concerned look.

"No, it's just that when we were roaming around the premises of the hotel earlier, we didn't saw anyone but now there are just so many," Mu Kongdong said.

"That should be due to the fact that most people living here are busy almost every hour with their work around the town, as such it is hard to see all of them gather here altogether," The Manager explained, maintaining a calm demeanor.

"So, why are they gathered here right now? Is there anything special?" Luo Yin asked, his curiosity piqued.

"It is due to the sudden devastating occurrence." The Manager replied.

"I see," Luo Yin muttered as he looked at the crowd.

"Well, it's quite late right now. I think you all should go and rest a little, you must be tired," The Manager said with a kind look.

Following the Manager's kind advice, All of them returned to their room to rest. As the night grew deeper, slowly but steadily calm descended upon the area.
