Honey what would you like for breakfast? Kyle's mother asked her son as he walked into the kitchen and saw both of his parents having breakfast.

Leave Sunday clear! We have to attend a pre engagement meeting! Karl said to Kyle as he ate his pancakes.

I already made plans for Sunday! I can't! Kyle said briskly as he went to the fridge to get the milk for his cereal.

You will attend the lunch at the Golf Club with Sarah, the Craigs and us on Sunday at noon and that is final! Karl said to Kyle sternly as he glared across the table at Kyle.

I said I have something important to do on that day so I cannot! Postpone reschedule, cancel I don't care! Kyle persisted.

Enough Kyle, I'm not asking alright! Do you know how important this merger is Kyle? I'm trying to secure a bright future for you and your family! Karl said in a gruff tone.

No as far as I see, you're securing a better future for yourself! Why don't you marry her Dad since this is so important to you! Kyle said and walked out of the room

Several hours later, Kyle and Joe sat drinking at Joe's bar.

Joe I don't think I can go through with the engagement! Kyle confessed.

Kyle you know your father. He will disown you if you do not! Think about what you're doing, don't throw it all away for something you're not sure isn't even going to last. Joe said knowing that Kyle was just thinking about the woman he called Sam.

You don't understand Joe. When I'm with her I'm at my best. I feel powerful but calm. She's funny and caring and her smile and laughter can definitely melt ice. Kyle said as he smiled broadly as he thought of Sam.

Fukkk Kyle, you're in love! Joe pointed at him and shouted out.

Clearly you've passed your limit already! Kyle said as he grabbed the beer away from Joe's hand and rested it on the counter.

Kyle listen to me. You're the only child for your parents which make you the heir to their Empire! Is Sam really worth throwing it all away? Joe said in a caring tone

Fukkkkkkkkkk! Kyle screamed

I have to go to lunch with Sarah and her family on Sunday at the Club but I had already made plans with Sam for after lunch. Kyle confessed.

Call her and cancel then Kyle, meet her another time. Joe said casually

I can't do that Joe! Kyle said as he opened the napkin and showed him her 4th entry that was scribbled by Sam.

You want me to go keep her company at the park for you until you show up? Joe asked smiling.

You must be fucking out your mind! I don't trust you as far as I can throw you! Kyle said and his face turned serious.

For the rest of the evening Kyle thought about his predicament with Sunday. He did not want to disappoint Sam and he knew he had to be at the Golf Club. Several hours later, before he left the bar, he decided that he was going to attend the both because he needed to see Sam.
