leaving soon

Lisa couldn't wait to resume college cause it's been her long time dream. Being admitted into one of the most prestigious universities in southern California is a huge breakthrough for Lisa.

"My princess is leaving for college in two days....she's so happy" Mrs Gina said curtly as she goes through some magazines.

"Oh yes! She's still in much excitement ever since she got the admission...I'm really gonna miss her" Mr Greg added.

"Thank goodness Frederick was admitted to the same university with Lisa atleast they'll both look out for each other" She responds.

"Those two love each other so much and my instincts tells me they'll end up together" Mr Greg said confidently as though he had already seen the future.

"Well let them graduate from the University with outstanding degrees before settling down...but I fear for Lisa honey" Mrs Gina proceeded.

"Fear!...why my dear?" He asked curiously.

"What if Frederick disappoints our princess...you know how fragile her heart is" She complained.

"I understand what you mean but I've been with this young man a couple of times and he seems to be trustworthy enough to keep our daughter's heart without any pains...I have faith in him my dear" He sounded with a convincing look.

"Okay honey...I'd take your word for it and I know they'll both be fine together" Mrs Gina consented.

Lisa spoke with Betty about her declined admission and sort of tried to encourage her to enroll in another college with her dad's influence at least. But she remained reluctant cause her mind had already been made up, though unknown to Lisa. She had no idea that Betty didn't even apply for college but was carried away with her dad's supposed wealth that she is meant to inherit sooner or later.

"Girl so you won't enroll this coming year?..but why?" Lisa asked.

"I'm not down with attending college this year but definitely will...you worry too much girl, come on" Betty said deceitfully.

"I don't trust you girl cause we both know you ain't much of a study type and your hatred for learning is so obvious" She proceeded.

"Oh of course...I didn't expect you to say anything different from the usual scolding and bickering" Betty jolted as she frowns.

"You know I want the best for you girlfriend...okay I won't scold you anymore" Lisa beckoned.

"I'll go to college but certainly not this year...I'm waiting on my father to make the necessary arrangements for me"

"Alright girlfriend...it's fine fish brain" Lisa teased as they pillow fight and laugh loudly.

Betty knew she was lying to Lisa about the whole college situation but that was the only way to get her off.

Frederick's mother became emotional when he reminded her of his resumption in two days. She's so fond of her son especially when the man of the house wasn't always home to keep her company.

Mrs Courtney is a full time house wife even with Frederick's advice of her getting a job with her certificate, she reprimands him each time he brings up the topic.

She doesn't seem to indulge in such discussions about her life choices.

"Mum! It's not like I'm never coming back" Frederick lamented with a plate of pudding in his hand.

"But you now I'm always lonely each time you're not around and now that you're starting college, it won't be easy for me son!" Mrs Courtney beckoned.

"That's the same reason I begged you to get a job mum...please even if it's part time at least you'd not feel too lonely at home while I'm gone" He pleaded.

"Oh not again with your speech about this job thing...I'm not getting a job okay and that's final" She slammed.

She shuned Frederick's pleas for her getting a job. No child would want to see their parents wallow in loneliness but Mrs Courtney isn't the type of person to be easily convinced.

"Okayyy mum....but don't complain to me anymore about this!" He added as he eats the already cold corn pudding which didn't seem to entice his cravings.

Fate usually has it's own way of playing on the lives of humans and so something quite strange is about to be unveiled.

Few days after Raphael returned from Spain he decides to make preparation for his resumption at one of the most prestigious universities in California which was the main reason he returned to Los Angeles.

"How are you preparing for college my boy!" Mr Duke said sharply as he lights up a cigarette.

"Dad come on its college not some fifth grade....there's no need making a fuss about it" Raphael responded sternly.

"Hmmm...that attitude just like his father but son I was just concerned about your welfare" He added curtly.

"Dad....it's fine" Raphael jolted.

"So two body guards would be your escorts in school" He sounded.

"Bodyguards!...hell no dad!" He smirked.

"Don't even think of flouting my orders...young man!" Mr Duke said angrily.

"Dad you don't expect me to go around with boo....dyguards....it's so absurd"

"My order stands...my enemies are lurking and you're my only hope son. Well it's not like you have a choice" He yelled out.

"It's my life dad...don't make decisions for me"

"You're so stubborn...well what about my butler being your personal guard?" He asked sternly.

"This is a joke...a butler as a bodyguard...you're not serious dad. Oh my!" Raphael said laughing hard at his dad's statement.

"Oh now I get it you haven't met my butler...hmm" Mr Duke said with a grin.

He snapped his fingers twice and the butler walked out of the dinning hall.

Raphael was dumbfounded at what he just witnessed, it seemed as though the butler knew his dad was going to call him and his swiftness to answer.

"Hey Gregory meet my charming son, Raphael" Mr Duke introduced.

"Nice to meet you young master Raphael" Gregory responded curtly.

"Is this the butler?" He asked curiously with a surprise look.

"Yes my boy...this man standing here is my most trusted employee and he's not just a butler but a highly trained hitman. He runs some confidential errands sometimes"

Raphael was still in shock as he stared at the body built of Gregory.

"Oh wow!...I'm shocked but impressed at the same time....he sure doesn't fit the description of a butler" Raphael added.

"I know right so from today he'd be your personal guard and PA....am I understood?" Mr Duke sounded.

"Well dad with what I've seen...he's okay. Alright then but he must obey my orders" Raphael cautioned

"Yes my young general" Mr Duke said hilariously as he dismissed Gregory.
