Wakanda, a Poor Small Country

Chapter 100 Wakanda, a Poor Small Country?!

However, things did not go as smoothly as Fanny thought. No matter what, Banner did not agree to bring Hulk out every day. In the end, Fanny compromised with Banner to bring Hulk out every three days. Hopefully, every emergence wouldn't last for three days!

"Then take a rest for the next few days!" This time, Hulk had been out for so long, so Banner needed to recover from it. Fanny did not want Banner to realize that he had become a tool.

Banner nodded. He was curious about what had happened in the last three days, but after hesitating for a while, he decided not to ask Fanny yet. He would instead try to recall his memories first before asking Fanny.

Banner returned to his bedroom and meditated after Fanny left. He took a few deep breaths, trying to recall his memories, and then…

Fried chicken pieces, delicious...

Cola, it's delicious...

Burger, delicious...

Cat and mouse, interesting...

The memories that Banner could recall should be those that left a deep impression on Hulk, so what the hell had Hulk been doing the last three days?!

It was neither Fanny's 'Demon Armor Incursio' nor the battle between Hulk and Fanny.

There was only food, snacks, and cartoons…

Without full knowledge of the situation, Banner fell into deep suspicion. Is there something wrong with him after not coming out for three days?!

Whenever Banner recalled the green giant's memories in the past, it was always filled with bullets and artillery fire. How could Fanny change Hulk's priority this much?!

Fanny had no way of knowing that his three days of happy life with Hulk had made Banner fall into an existential crisis. Despite the enormous amount of experience that Fanny had gained during the last three days, it wasn't without cost. Fanny had to accompany the green giant to eat, drink, and play—not much different from taking care of a child.

Fanny went home and met Skye with an exhausted face. To be honest, Skye was still a little suspicious of him. If not for her trust in him, she wouldn't have bought his reasoning earlier.

"Are you all right?" Skye looked at Fanny with concern and asked, "What happened to your friend? Is he sick?"

Fanny shook his head and briefly told Skye about Hulk's situation.

"He can transform when he is angry?" Skye was surprised and could not help but ask, "Then isn't he living a very hard life?"

"Yeah, his life was rough. But it's better now."

"But that Hulk that he transformed to... could he fight back against you?"

"If we only considered his strength, there would probably be no one on Earth that could compare to him!" Fanny replied.

Moreover, Hulk's characteristics strengthen the giant the longer the battle continues. He would need to suppress Hulk with overwhelming power from the get-go to have any chance of winning—as demonstrated by his lack of victory in the last three days.

Skye had never seen Fanny praise someone like that before, so she was a little curious about Hulk.

"Did anything happen at home in the past three days?" Fanny looked at Skye. He frowned when he noticed the silver bracelet on her arms. He looked at Skye with a stern expression. "Skye, I know very well about your pursuit of power."

"Do you still remember? I insisted on staying for a while to learn magic in Kamar-Taj. I even abandoned school and didn't come back home. Back then, I wanted to obtain strong power as soon as possible. But then, Master Ancient One warned me to control my power, not be controlled by it. That was why I returned home."

"I hope that you can learn from my mistake!" Fanny looked at the silent Skye and continued, "I will not stop you from pursuing power, but you need to remember who you are. Don't abandon your identity for power!"

Fanny's words touched Skye's heart.

She understood what Fanny meant; she really did. She had clearly overworked herself. But she felt sadness and guilt whenever she thought about her biological parents, guilt that only strengthened whenever she felt happy.

She hoped to obtain great power and rescue them with Fanny.

But Fanny's words reminded Skye that she hadn't contacted her 'current' parents for quite a while. She didn't know what they were doing or where they had gone.

She didn't even talk with Fanny anymore.

In order to obtain power, she sacrificed her current happiness.

"I'm sorry!" Skye apologized, lowering her head.

Fanny was relieved that Skye had returned her sight to the present. He didn't want to harshly scold Skye out of her training.

"It's fine. And you should trust me more; I already said that I would help you." Fanny rubbed Skye's head, his hand gliding across her soft hair.

Skye lowered her head even further, her face blushing. She was his elder sister, but other than her age, she really wasn't sister-like at all to him.

"Well, you have been busy for three days. Go and rest quickly," Skye urged in a low voice. "I promise to use more moderation in the future."

"Yeah!" Fanny nodded and walked back to his room, but he paused when he heard the report from the TV.

"Today, the United Nations announced a list of poor countries to receive financial aid, but the small country of Wakanda refused the help of the United Nations. This country is surrounded by mountains…."

"Wakanda, a poor and small country?!" Fanny looked at the TV with an incredulous expression. He then shook his head.

Perhaps in the eyes of others, this country was really poor. After all, nobody would have guessed that under that veneer of poverty, there was an advanced isolationist country within it.

The TV reports continued to talk about the underdeveloped agriculture within the African country. Fanny scoffed.

If agriculture was not developed, people would go to mine!

The priceless Vibranium resources under that land were inexhaustible even after millennia of mining operations.

Fanny recalled the other special resources from Wakanda. The Heart-shaped Herb: a plant with similar physique-transforming properties to Captain America's super serum.

However, these resources were only available to Wakanda royal family. It wouldn't be easy to get it.

"What's wrong?" Skye asked when she saw Fanny standing in the living room.

"It's nothing!"

Fanny collected his thoughts. Black Panther seemed to be quite strong. He might be able to use the monarch as an experience dummy in the future. Moreover, since Wakanda is a big place, it wouldn't be hard to go there with a portal.

Fanny returned to his bed and slept soundly for the night. He woke up early the next morning to a call from Nick Fury.

"There is something I need your help with!" Nick Fury didn't waste any time beating around the bush. "A very important staff member fell into the Arctic Ocean and was accidentally frozen, but we unexpectedly found that he was still alive. I hope you can bring him back to receive treatment as soon as possible!"

"You found Captain America?" Fanny blurted out. He couldn't think of anyone else that Nick would find frozen in the Arctic Ocean.

Nick Fury fell silent on the other side. He had deliberately avoided mentioning the identity of this 'very important staff.' He didn't expect Fanny to know about him already.

Nick Fury had hesitated before making this call, unsure whether asking for Fanny's help was worth it. However, considering the influence that Captain America would bring, he finally decided that the Captain's survival was a top priority!

And he had regretted the call immediately!

He resisted the urge to curse, agonizing within his heart with curiosity: who the hell leaked the info to Fanny?!
