Of Course I Am Unworthy

"Stark, don't mess around!" Nick Fury immediately shouted into the microphone.

Captain America followed up, "Helsed, tell Stark to stop attacking immediately. We need to speak with Thor first!"

Fanny rolled his eyes and replied lazily, "Alright, alright."

Of course, Fanny had no intention of stopping Tony. He wanted to see how much Tony had grown in the last few months away from him.

Asgardians were not the kind of people that could stay calm in the face of battle. They would choose to finish the battle before reconsidering the situation. If they win, then that's it. If they lose, then they would listen to whatever the opponent has to say.

Thor was the epitome of Asgardian culture.

Despite his primary mission being to fight Loki, he immediately switched priority to fight when Tony returned his attack. A boring matter like finding his younger brother could wait until after the fight.

Of course, it would be even better if he could fight his younger brother.

His intelligence might not be the best, but Thor's strength was the real deal. Even when his true divine power had not awakened, his many years of battle and the Mjolnir in his hand would allow him to defeat most enemies.

Thor took Tony's energy cannon head-on. His dwarven-forged armor and Asgardian enchantment could shrug off just one hit.

Thor could fly using Mjolnir, but the aerial battle was not his forte. That's why he decided to get Tony down to the ground.

He held the Mjolnir up, raising his altitude. Tony predictably followed suit. Thor suddenly decelerated and charged his hammer—before slamming it right at the rushing Tony.

Tony couldn't react in time and took a direct hit, falling from the sky.

Fanny shook his head when he saw the result of the battle. Tony had become a little stronger, but his limit was still much too low. Even with Mark VII's increased firepower, Tony barely scratched Thor. On the other hand, Mjolnir could easily break the Iron Man armor.

Thor's strength and defense were comparable to Fanny with 'Demon Armor Incursio.' This was why the Asgardians were regarded as gods. Their physiques were naturally strong.

Fanny didn't continue to just watch when he saw Tony start being beaten one-sidedly. He prepared to intervene.

Thor threw Mjolnir at Tony to prevent the Iron Man from launching back to the sky. Fanny instantly opened a portal in the hammer's path and sent it tens of kilometers up in the sky.

Let the hammer fly for a while!

It would've been hard for past Fanny to do this, but with the growth of Ars Magna and the insight gained when the Space Stone teleported him, his portal spell had improved to allow this kind of tactic.

Where did the hammer go?!

Thor was surprised when he saw his beloved hammer suddenly disappear. He reached out his hand to summon it, but there was no sign of it returning even after a while. He became furious.

"Where did you take my hammer?"

"It probably missed home!" Tony also saw the portal. He was a little embarrassed that he needed Fanny's help, but it wasn't the first or second time it had happened. He was already used to it.

He was just glad that Jarvis didn't broadcast the battle to the helicarrier.

Tony had no way of knowing that Nick Fury, with all his wisdom and paranoia, had scattered unmanned cameras around to follow them. Therefore, everyone had seen Tony's miserable state after being beaten by Thor—but everyone was too shocked by Thor's strength to pay attention to him.

Thor was visibly angered by the fact that his hammer had disappeared—his body began flashing with lightning. Fanny was shocked by this sight and quickly explained to Thor, "Your hammer didn't disappear; it's just on its way!"

But Thor wasn't listening. He shouted, "Return my hammer!"

He then rushed towards Fanny.

"Leave this place to me; you go back first!" Fanny had already prepared to fight, so he didn't hesitate. After sending Tony away, he faced Thor and whispered to himself:

Strength amplification!

Agility amplification!

Defense amplification!

The two fists collided, and the sound of impact echoed. Fanny was pushed back a few steps: he had lost the first round of the strength competition.

Thor didn't have the same ability to draw strength from anger as the Hulk, but his emotion still influenced the divine power in his body. He was stronger than he was before.

But then again, Fanny's primary stat wasn't strength. Fanny didn't lose heart after losing the contest of strength and immediately switched to his best tactic.

Increase weight!

Weaken!

Slow!

Silence!

Thor, who was roaring in anger, suddenly couldn't make a sound. His body felt strange, and he made a weird expression.

Fanny suddenly missed Vormir. If this battle occurred there, he could use some interesting tactics, like creating large Mjolnir replicas to crush Thor.

Fanny shook that thought off. Maintaining 'Ars Magna' in battle requires the utmost concentration. Random thought would dissipate the effect.

"!"

After nearly half a year of training, all of Fanny's skills had improved greatly. That was also true for 'Explosion Magic.' The following barrage made Thor start to doubt whether he had really arrived on Earth.

Fortunately, the distant sound of cracking energy and sonic boom suddenly arrived. Feeling something familiar, Thor looked up into the sky with eyes full of surprise.

"My hammer!"

Thor powered through the magical bombardment and stretched his hand to welcome the Mjolnir—when suddenly, a circle made of golden sparks once again appeared not far from his hands.

"No!!!" Thor immediately retracted his arm when he saw the familiar scene, but it was too late. With a whoosh, the high-velocity hammer disappeared into the portal.

Fanny sighed in relief when he saw Thor's hammer successfully teleported away. At this stage, Thor with his hammer was leagues away from Thor without a hammer.

After all, Thor was still in the 'god of hammer' stage of his divine development. The hammer amplified his strength quite a bit.

"Who are you?" Thor was forced to calm down after seeing his hammer get whisked away twice. He hurriedly explained when he saw Fanny stop attacking, "I am not your foe. I am here to find Loki."

"You have to admit your loss first!" Fanny ignored Thor's words. Instead, he flew in the air and stared at the God of Thunder.

"I didn't lose!" Thor was stunned at the demand. He shook his head. "You cannot defeat me. I am Thor, the God of Thunder. Have you not heard of me? Jane told me that I am rather famous here."

"Well, I'll just send your hammer up to the sky again!" Fanny looked up at the sky, waiting.

"No, you can't do this!" Thor was furious. "You are not worthy to be a warrior!"

"Of course I am unworthy. I'm a mage!" Fanny agreed, nodding.
