Chapter 025

It took about a week since Bryan's arrival for Fara to get used to Bryan's presence as a research student at her school. Actually, Fara can act normal, but somehow fate always brings them together by accident.

Especially at this time, Fara and Davin were appointed to be two students who helped Bryan and his group to fill out part of their research activities. Surprised? Of course Fara was surprised, but the reasons she received regarding herself and Davin being appointed as representatives made her understand.

Not surprisingly, Fara and Davin occupied the highest scores in their class. Each class represents at least two people with the highest scores each to help the student's research run smoothly.

Currently, the large hall in the school is filled with several students who are having a meeting with research students. Actually, it was a little funny for Fara, she had only been at the school for about three months, but she was able to become a representative of her class.

"I've heard that your school has won five years in a row in the extracurricular drum band and student council for three years. Of course we feel very proud to be directly appointed to do research and build a new organization here."

There was applause from several students who seemed happy to hear Bryan's praise, unlike Fara and Davin who had been silent all this time. If Davin would stare at every student member who spoke, then Fara always tried to keep her eyes away if he accidentally met Bryan.

"Oh, yes, regarding the activities that will be held to fill our research, we have recorded about five activities that we have planned. If there is more time at the end, maybe we will add another activity. That way, I as the chairman here really hope to work the same from you."

Every time he finished saying a paragraph, Bryan's gaze always turned to Fara. The man always gave a faint smile, whether for Fara or indeed for everyone in the room. After all, Fara doesn't care much, she acts normal because she thinks that everything is just an ordinary activity to help the research process of the student group.

"In the future there may be some schedules that make you have to stay at school longer. That way, please submit a letter of resignation if any of you object, because we don't want anyone to be disturbed by these activities."

In fact, Fara could have resigned, but she felt that she had to join in helping Bryan and his friends. She felt, her services should be needed. At least she tried to help without involving their past.

No one made a sound for about two minutes, everyone just focused on staring at each other because maybe someone would object to the terms just now.

"Nobody seems to mind, but if anyone changes their mind, you can submit your resignation until tomorrow morning. For now our goal is to gather you here to inform you of the position you will be seeking."

Everyone nodded in understanding, Bryan began to open a paper he had been carrying. With Bryan professionally mentioning the position of the members, Davin gets a group leader or representative of all students who will be responsible for his members for three months. While Fara, the girl manages the finance department, she will take care of the property that will be needed by buying it using the money that has been collected.

"It seems that everything is clear, if there is something you want to ask, you can ask in the group chat that I will make after this."

The night had taken over the originally bright universe, Fara, who was initially weighed down by her own thoughts, moved to the front of Yasa's room. The girl felt the need to let out what had been her problem lately, she couldn't keep it to herself. Honestly, Fara really needs a friend to talk to, and it is her mother who sometimes accompanies her in these circumstances.

Once again she took a deep breath, gathering her intentions that were originally only half of a puzzle piece, Fara knocked on Yasa's door slowly, hoping she wouldn't disturb the man's calm.

The bedroom door opened, revealing Yasa's presence in a black short-sleeved shirt and trousers, the man looked like he was just about to fall asleep, as evidenced by his heavy eyelids.

"Am I bothering you?" Fara asked a little cautiously.

"What is it?" Yasa asked back in a hoarse voice.

Feeling bad, Fara scratched the nape of her neck which didn't itch, Yasa changed his position to lean against the door.

"Actually I wanted to tell you, but I think it's quite late, I don't want to disturb you. Then, good night."

Fara was about to leave from there, but Yasa quickly held Fara's hand, making the girl stop her steps and look up again at Yasa who was standing in front of her.

"Come on, I'll listen to your story," Yasa said a little softly, he pulled Fara's wrist to follow him into the man's room.

Yasa's distinctive masculine scent filled Fara's sense of smell, at least she felt a little calm inhaling the scent.

The two of them ended up sitting on the side of the bed facing each other, Fara who was leaning on the dashboard of the bed while hugging the pillow, while Yasa was sitting in front of her with his arms folded across his chest.

Not straight to the point, the two of them had joked beforehand to eliminate the awkward atmosphere that had occurred between them because of the kissing incident. The atmosphere managed to turn into a thaw, the two ended up giving each other a faint smile.

"Is something bothering you?" Yasa began to ask, waiting for the answer that would be given by Fara as the essence of the question why Fara met him.

"You don't have to say it if you're not ready. One more thing, if it's weighing you down, you shouldn't keep it to yourself."

What Yasa said was true, but for some reason Fara felt guilty for interrupting Yasa's sleep just because she wanted to share her uneasy feelings and had absolutely nothing to do with that man.

"I—" Fara let a few seconds take over, she seemed to think for a moment to continue her words, "—need a hug, can you hug me until morning?"
