Kefirah took Manuel to a park not far from her parents' house. She was happy with the arrival of her lover, but she could not keep her family plans a secret for too long. Kefirah must immediately end her relationship with Manuel. Even though she did not want that to happen but Kefirah still had to say it. The longer she was silent, it would hurt Manuel more.
Kefirah also did not want to ignore Rista's request which she had agreed to. She was afraid that she would regret it for the rest of her life if she did not keep her promise.
"Are you alright?" Manuel asked. The man rubbed Kefirah's face which looked like crumpled clothes. "Look at the dark circles in your eyes! didn't you sleep?" Manuel asked again.
Manuel really regretted arriving late but the bad weather around the Australian airport forced the man's flight to be delayed. Manuel wanted to comfort his wife-to-be because he knew Kefirah must still be very sad because of the loss of her sister.
"I am fine. Can you hug me again?" Kefirah asked hopefully. Soon their relationship must end. Kefirah wanted to spend this night with Manuel. She did not think that the relationship they had maintained for five years would end in this way.
Kefirah did not know where fate would take her. What Kefirah knew, she must do her best to get happiness.
Manuel hugged the body of the woman he wanted to marry. Several times he gave kisses on the top of Kefirah's head, making his lover feel comfortable.
"All life's trials will pass, my dear. I have come. I am here for you. You can cry as much as you want," Manuel said.
Every word that was supposed to be comforting, actually hurt Kefirah's heart. How should she say everything? It's not just Manuel who loved her. The man's sister and parents were also very fond and hopeful of her.
"God, can I be selfish? I really want to date one last time. I just want to end our relationship beautifully," Kefirah's heart pleaded to God.
In the living room, Levi was pacing thinking about Kefirah. His heart had not been able to accept the woman as a wife but Levi did not want his sister-in-law to go out with another man. He did this for Rista, his late wife.
"What should I do, Lord? If Kefirah cancels her promise, I can't do anything either. I don't want to force a woman to marry me. If it wasn't for Rista's last request, I wouldn't want to get married again. I only love Rista. Please help me to think," Levi said. He invited God and himself to dialogue.
"Excuse me, Mr. Levi. You were summoned by Mr. Taylor," One of the maids called Levi.
"Okay. I will be going to his bedroom right away," Levi answered, taking a deep breath. Receiving a call from his father-in-law, Levi stepped into the bedroom on the first floor. Since Taylor used a wheelchair, the man who was not young anymore chose to use one of the bedrooms on the first floor.
"Dad," Levi called when he arrived at the bedroom. Since Rista was buried, Levi's father-in-law just stayed in the bedroom because of his drastically declining health.
"Come in!" Taylor commanded. The man who was lying down tried to sit up. Quickly Levi immediately helped him.
"Thanks, Levi," Taylor said when his back was perfectly resting on the headboard.
"Shall we go to the hospital, Dad? I am worried your health is getting worse," Levi asked. His face showed deep concern.
"There is no need to go to the hospital. I will be fine. I have already eaten and taken medicine. Don't worry!"
"Thank God if you have taken the medicine," Levi said, breathing a sigh of relief. He was afraid that his father-in-law's condition would worsen because of the grief that had just hit their family.
"The maid said you called me. What's the matter, Dad? Do you need something?"
Taylor smiled at his son-in-law. If Levi managed to make Rista happy then he was sure that Levi would also do the same to Kefirah.
"Where is Kefirah? I want to talk to you two," Taylor said. His voice was weak due to his not-so-good physique.
"Kefirah is out of the house, Dad. Maybe she needs some fresh air. She had tried to persuade Joel and Vilah to eat. She definitely needs time to be alone," Levi said. He chose not to tell about the arrival of a man he did not know his name. However, Levi still remembered the man's face. He was a friend who came with Kefirah to the hospital.
"Kefirah must also be very sad because she lost her sister. Since she moved to Australia, their relationship has not been as close as it used to be. I shouldn't have sent Kefirah abroad. I really regret everything," Taylor said, showing a sad face.
"It's not your fault, Dad. Kefirah was transferred to Meolbourne for her good," Levi replied, trying to comfort his father-in-law.
To this day, Taylor only knew about the issue of Kefirah's photos circulating on the internet eight years ago. He did not know if the cause of the strained relationship between his two daughters was Levi.
"Have you discussed Rista's last request with Kefirah? I hope to fulfill it. I want Rista to have peace in her new nature," Taylor asked.
Levi was confused by the question. Moreover, the arrival of Manuel made him doubtful. The word married that came out from Manuel's mouth kept ringing in his mind.
"I haven't had time to talk about it with Kefirah. I am still focused on Joel and Vilah who are still crying because of Rista's death."
Levi was forced to use his two children as an excuse. He was confused about how to get Kefirah to talk. So far, their relationship had been like enemies.
"Hurry up and talk to her! You should also think about Joel and Vilah. They definitely need a mother."
"Yes, Dad. I will talk to her right away."
