Chapter 25

Amazing wasn't it. So it turned out like this, the shadow of terror had yet to pass, but for the most part the ocean had calmed, leaving only a serene stillness that stuffed my heart filled with fear. After everything that had passed, all that was left was stillness, and whatever remnant memory laid within me and anyone who came out of game night.

At first I asked myself, ``What kind of a thing was this? It was hard not to wonder. I vomited at the memory of seeing the red liquid that slipped from Drusilla's throat at that time, my stomach rolled, squeezed, and bit from remembering the bulging of her once pretty honey brown eyes which would probably have turned lifeless now. What kind of life had Drusilla been living?

This kind of wonderment was understandable, what kind of a life did Drusilla live? Look how only a few days had passed, and yet….. My eyes did a sweep through the canteen, smiles, and gossips filled their lips.

"I can't believe she's dead…."
