Chapter 44

I took quite the pace striding towards the direction of Persephone Charming. Had it not been for my brother's treachery and untrustworthiness I would not subject myself to saving this witch. Her kind was too self-righteous to make it in her, and why would I have to bother about such ridiculous choices?

But Persephone Charming was useful. Very useful actually. Yes, that was why I found myself walking towards the dodgeball court, pretending there was not an inkling of franticness in my body.

As I reached my direction what welcomed me was a green haired boy ready to strike Persephone. I sighed out.

Too weak, I thought as his head rolled to the ground, and his body dropped.

Perhaps it could be comical how I looked at her unblinking. I allowed my eyes to maneuver from the crown of her purple locks past her delicate pale face with light makeup on, past her slim figure which looked voluptuous because of the fitted clothes she had on.
