Alex looked at the latest threads on his phone. His fear came to pass. He hated the media meddling in William's lives, he hated the Anderson also meddling. And now that Laura was trending, her and Dario Anderson. What people didn't know was that women would always receive all the hate...they are lebelled sluts, gold diggers even when they aren't at fault. The world doesn't care about facts, why should it when a woman is seen holding hands with a man younger than her weeks after her husband's death. Why should it when that man is the heir of the biggest dynasty in the country? Why should it when that dynasty is suspected to be behind her husband's death.

Alex looked at Dario, he was furious. He needed answers. He needed to leave him a warning.

"What's your deal with her, Anderson?" He asked, voice cold and a glare evident on his face.

"No, what's your deal with her, Morgan?" Dario threw the question back to him, his eyes narrowed.

Alex chuckled, but it was a sound full of contempt. He was wondering where the 'boy' got the guts to challenge him when Dario added, "if you have any intentions with her, drop it. She is not available."

"If i had any intentions with her, she should be the only one with the right to tell me to give up."

Dario narrowed his eyes further, voice now cold, "That right is now being shared equally between the two of us, Morgan. Ever heard of equality in a relationship?"

"Relationship? What kind of relationship do you two share, Anderson?"

"And what kind of a relationship do you two have, Morgan?."

"Listen, Dario," that was probably the first time he called him using his name, "if you want her that much, I'm okay as long as you can protect her. Will you be able to protect her from your father?"

Dario saw sense in what Alex was saying, however, whether or not they were together, his father still had his ways of getting to her. To be able to protect her, he had to keep her close. He knew that very well but his ego as a man didn't accept being told what to do by another man; potential love interest.

"I answer to nobody, Morgan. Definitely not you."

Alex, frustrated now, decided to end what he saw as an immature conversation. He was arguing with a boy almost a decade younger than him because of a woman, with whom he didn't have any romantic interests in.

"Trust me Anderson. When something bad happens to her under your care, you'll have no choice but to answer to me."

And with that he left, possibly to use his contacts to pull off the photo of Dario and Laura holding hands from the media.

Dario was left, now realizing that they had had a pretty nosey audience with them. Blake was looking at him, confused as to when his brother became a jealous and overprotective piece of shit. Liz had a blank expression on her face while Asher, you know was grinning. Asher was just being Asher.

"You were sooo cool D," Asher began, his fangirling attempt failing miserably.

"Dumbass." Dario responded to his friend's failed attempt at fangirling. He pulled out his phone, to call someone. Maybe that how he could avoid questions from the six eyes inside the room.

Unfortunately, all his calls were directed to a voice mail. Why was she not answering his calls?

•Please answer my calls. I need to talk to you •

The text status changed immediately from delivered to read. But there was no feedback. Meaning she was avoiding him.

He called again twice but no, he got no answer. Frustrated, he threw his phone which was saved by Asher before it could hit the wall and crush.

"You need to stop this habit of crushing things when you're angry, D." Blake said, talking for the first since he got inside that room.

"Yeah it's petty." Asher added.

Dario raised his eyebrows at Asher, definitely not appreciating being called petty by him.

"Not as petty as your idol though. I'm still wondering what you see in him, Ash."

What Ash don't appreciate is his idols being mocked without being able to defend themselves. He agree he is Alex's fan, but that doesn't mean that his best friend could use Alexbanytime to get back at him.

"At least he is better than your daydream love, D." That rubbed Dario the wrong way. He knows he fucked up, his love lasted less than twelve hours before having their first fight, but it was special. The seven hours he spent with Laura were special. Special to them. And someone using that against him, was not cool at all.

Blake sensing a fight between the two immature best friends, cut them off, "Instead of looking for a fight, you should be thinking about pulling the post off the media, D. You and Laura holding hands and Laura being seen moving out of here, won't look good for her now that she have possible lawsuits to win."

Dario nodded, definitely tamed. Anything Laura tamed him. He grabbed his phone from Ash before leaving for his room.

"And you Ash, stop indulging him and his mood swings. You know better how he is." Blake said to Ash, giving him a disapproving look.

Asher groaned in displeasure definitely not happy being scolded by someone younger than him. He left Dario's apartment.

~~~
Laura didn't go home. She got herself a cub, putting in the address to R&L. It was already five, working hours had ended but she was the CEO. She had a whole lot more things to care about denying her the luxury to get off work by five.
She was in her office, waiting for her attorney to arrive. He had informed her that she was like ten minutes away.
Ten minutes were a whole lot. And her mind drifted to the events of that day.
The scandal, then Dario's company. Now thinking about it, she loved his company. She loved everything about Gaming including the boss of Gaming and the little redhead.
Everything was going on great until she ruined it. That's what she thought. She was blaming herself for later part of her day. If it wasn't for her being uncomfortable around her best friend, she wouldn't have felt the need to leave.
She had rejected Dario's touch because she knew she was would be soft, so soft that she wouldn't have moved from that place. And Alex was already giving her the scrutinising look. So she decided to leave.
She was just leaving the five storey building when she felt someone's presence. At first she thought it was maybe Dario following her but was disappointed when she failed to see him. Nobody was there. Maybe it was her being paranoid.
But then there was a flash. Someone was talking pictures, she might have imagined someone's presence, but she definitely didn't imagine the flash.
Fortunately, the cub she had called for arrived. She didn't want to go back home, she didn't want to face her children. She had this feeling that she failed them, that she had betrayed her family. So she decided on prolonging the meeting. She'll go back home when they were fast asleep.
That is why she is currently at R&L, head on her palms thinking about her day.
Her thoughts were interrupted by vibration sounds. A familiar name was displayed on the screen and for a moment, she forgot her trouble. He didn't follow her, but at least he called. Meaning she was just in his mind as he was in hers. Not knowing how to explain her reaction minutes ago, she decided not to answer. And there was another ring, then another one then a text.
•Please answer my calls. I need to talk to you •
She read it as quickly as it was delivered. However she wasn't able to text back because her attorney had arrived.
That's how her phone was forgotten while someone few kilometres away was brooding inside his room.
