Laura is in her office, she looks tired. Dark circles being evidence of her not sleeping. Yesterday, things just got worse. She had seen the photo of him and Dario in 'Gossip room', one of the biggest gossip media rooms.

Laura doesn't read comments after scandals, we all know that, but yesterday after her short meeting with her lawyer, she found herself reading what people were saying.

Was she that hungry for an approval from the people? You know that feeling, thirst for acceptance. You want everybody to accept you and your lover regardless of their age, gender, race or status in the society. She was in that state.

Scrolling through the comments, she frowned at the comments. People were against what she had with Dario, some of their reasons being age, Laura being four years older. Those who had age as their reasons, probably were the ones with the most polite comments. Not that they were nice, just in comparison to others, they could be considered the nicest.

Other comments looked were like...

°I knew she was a slut, didn't expect her to extend her dirty claws to Dario.°

°She is shameless. Her husband dies and she looks for younger preys.°

°Maybe she was even cheating with Dario behind Ray's back before he died.°

°No she's just a greedy whore, using her body to get benefits from the rich. Married Ray because of his money, got Mr. Morgan's attention and now she is back to Anderson dynasty.°

The comments were that worse, she could have stopped but she had continued notwithstanding the constriction in her chest.

There is this small group that tried justify her actions. Not a group but a person...just one. She just remembered seeing, °Judging people without knowing their circumstances in life is sick, but you keyboard worriors aren't ready for that conversation.°

She had read that again, possibly feeling good that out of the 99.999% against her, there was that decimal percentile who defended her. She was planning on taking a screenshot of that comment and the username, but suddenly everything was blank.

Photos, nowhere.

The comments deleted.

She had saved the photo of her and Dario sneaking out of the storeroom, but that also was missing from her phone.

What the hell just happened?

Even this morning as she was thinking about it she was still confused. The story was buried as if it never happened. If not for the secretive whispers she saw amongst her employee, she couldn't have thought that the events never happened, that it was just a bad nightmare.

That day, she just wanted to focus on the lay offs. There was already a month's notice that there'll be a lay off. R&L didn't need many employees considering the higher ratio of the employees to that of the workers. She had already asked those who wanted to resign voluntarily to submit their resignation. And sure there were some, mostly slightly aged people who wanted to just rest. Her next move was LIFO way; you know last in first out principle. That is why she needed the employee's profile from Nora.

Her plans, however, were interrupted by the buzzing of the intercom.

"Boss, the CEO of Gaming is here. He is not that friendly."

There was this rapid beating of her heart, not that she was nervous, but she was anticipating their meeting.

"Tell them to allow him in." She directed her secretary, voice now low.

She knew there was a possibility of him coming after her, he had to, after all the ignoring she had done yesterday. It felt good knowing that he really cared about her, about them. Even after pushing him away, he still cared enough to follow her.

Her door was opened by Nora, allowing the brooding CEO in before closing the door. The offices weren't soundproof and she was sure their conversation wasn't going to go unheard, but she trusted Nora. She was good at keeping things confidential.

Laura looked at the statue of a man whose eyes were glaring at her, he hadn't said anything since he got inside. But she could tell, he was pissed. There were bugs underneath his eyes, so probably he too didn't sleep.

Laura opened her mouth to talk, try breaking the silence between them, but was stopped. Dario grabbed her off the chair she was on, helping her up, he pinned her to the wall. Still surprised at how rough Dario was with her, she felt his lips on hers. They were rough against hers. It was not deepened, he was just biting on her lower lips while sucking roughly at them. She swore she felt the metallic taste in her mouth, that must have drawn blood. But it wasn't painful, his soft lips sucking roughly at the bite, helped. She has never been kissed like that before. Ray was ever gentle with her, Dario too bad been gentle all along. Even though there were attempts of dominance yesterday, they were all so gentle just a little bit intense.

Dario's lips left hers, probably to allow her breath. She was left frowning at the lost contact. She definitely loved the rough kisses. It aroused something wild in her, which she didn't know she had in her.

"Running away again, hazel." His voice was rugged, a little bit cold. He was looked frustrated and tired. Laura wanted to say something, but his hands on her lips motioning her to shut up, made her stop.

Grabbing her knees and sliding them to his waist, he carried her to the only sofa in the room, sitting down with her. She was put in a position where she was straddling him. And she definitely felt something hard poking her.

Dario eyes on hers distracted her a little bit, his intense gaze hiding numerous questions.

"Ignoring my calls?" he begun, his hands now on her chin to keep her from looking away, "ignoring my texts, ignoring me?" his hands moved to her lips, pressing across the swollen part he had bitten and roughly sucked, "are you running away again hazel?"

She remained quiet, after all he was just going to make her shut up again.

His hands left her chin, to her neck, pressing gently not wanting to choke her, "baby you know you can never run away from me." Laura gulped, his other hand was on her thighs, she wasn't in pants, she was in a skirt... Her thighs were burning, anywhere Dario touched was burning. Her heart not being left out.

"i really wanna mark you right now, hazel. Right now right here in this office. I wanna leave unerasable mark on you such that anytime you think of running, you'll only be running to me." His voice now husky and Laura swore that the thing that had been poking her was now harder. His eyes had become darker. And when his lips resumed kissing hers, she wasn't surprised on his hurried moves. The kisses were hurried, a bit demanding and this time round, his tongue found hers. He deepened the kiss while his palms continuously carresed her thighs, stopping just at the cradle.

Their rough moments on the couch was brought to halt by the vibration on her phone. Dario groaned, kissing her lips for the last time, he pressed their foreheads together. His was breathing heavily, definitely thanking whoever called or texted. Maybe texted. Without distraction, he could have made love or maybe fucked her...definitely the last one her, there in her office. Considering how rough he was with her, he doubted if he would have been gentle with her. Laura would have hated him afterwards.

Laura still in daze, fumbled with her phone, Alex texted.

•I'll be stepping in there for some few minutes in the afternoon•

Laura replied immediately with 'okay.'

And Dario narrowed her eyes at her.

"What?" Laura asked, now a bit calm from their crazy make out session.

"So I'm the only one worth ignoring." Not expecting that from him, Laura chuckled. The second person she did that before, the first person being Derrick. She must admit, she missed that.

"It sounds so good." Dario commented earning him and amused look from Laura.

"What?"

"You chuckling."

Laura could feel the burning on her cheeks. She was blushing, before him. That was embarrassing.

Dario looked at her, definitely in delight at how his words affected her.

Becoming serious, he brought up the pressing issue.

"It hurt, hazel. You pushing me away, you avoiding me, you not allowing me to help. It hurts."

"I'm sorry." Laura whispered. Yes she was sorry.

"Don't ever do that, okay?"

She nodded.

Now that they had cleared that, Laura expected the air to be less tense but Dario's hands tightening on her waist prevented that. Something told her that he was having something on his mind to tell her. And she knew she was right when Dario opened his mouth, eyes closed, maybe because he was a little nervous.

"Will you be my girlfriend, hazel?"
