Alexander Morgan was the owner of the biggest software company in that country. You know how these companies worked, they possibly had hackers with them. But still he didn't want to use illegal means to delete the post. It's not that he was clean, but his illegal affairs were kept underworld, secretively underworld.

Controlling any media room was easy except that one for Gossip Room. It had a false belief that whatever it did was previledged and was for the public interest. He even wondered how someone's life was to the interest of the public.

Convincing them was hard and just when they had reached an agreement, after him agreeing to pay millions, the posts disappeared.

All along, while his right hand man, Charles, was talking to the Gossip Room, he had the screen before him. Going through the comments. Then all over sudden, everything disappeared without him spending money.

He had a very good idea who was behind that. He was also a sure that everyone who had saved that photo, lost it.

Now thinking about yesterday's event, Alex smiled. Dario seemed to be treating Laura well. The only thing he was worried about was him one day realizing that he was not into women. Or maybe when Dario got confused between his best friend and Laura. He wasn't sure about DarioAsher thing but that didn't mean he wasn't thinking about it. Maybe one of the two friends was in love...maybe, just maybe.

His mind drifted back to their childhood days. Him and Ray. Their friendship since he was 14, ceized to be pure. At least to him. It was from the little things that Ray did...the way he would smile at him when he was happy...the way he would leave his side of bed to him after realizing he liked sleeping at the corner(that is when he went to Ray's for a sleepover)...the way he gave up some of his shirts for him when he realized he liked them...the way he would pick out the beans off his plate anytime they were served that because he didn't like them...the way he would smile up at him even when he was with Laura. Laura.

The four were best friends, including Carol, his sister. Ray was always attentive to everyone in their small circle, but he was extra-attentive to Laura. At first, Alex thought that it was because she was the youngest and needed pampering the most, but he was wrong. Ray loved her. He told him that, he can still remember Ray's 14th birthday when he confided in him that he was in love with her. He was also fourteen, just two weeks older. So you know these two grew together.

Something changed had changed that night. He knew it. He knew it from the pain he felt on his heart. He realized that he loved Ray. The pain in his heart was because he knew he couldn't have him. He liked guys while Ray liked girls. He was in love with him but Ray was in love with another. His other best friend.

There was always this constriction in his chest when he saw the two together. Laura, only two years younger than them and Ray. But Ray would look up to him, smile brightly at him and then he would forget that ever feeling sad.

Then before Laura turned 18, he remembered Ray going over to his place, worried. He figured out there was a problem because normally it was always him to go over to his. He had watched Ray getting into his wardrobe, talking off one of his shirts, putting it on before laying beside him. That was not also unlike him, because usually it was him to wear Ray's.

He wondered whether Ray too liked his scent just like he loved his because that is why he always wore his shirts.

They were silent that night before he heard his fear-laced voice.

"She's pregnant."

That came out as a shock to Alex at first before he realized that it had broken something in him. He had been secretly in love with his best friend for almost 6 years, hurting secretly whenever he saw his love and other friend act intimate with each other but he didn't give up. He wouldn't give up on him. That news though had broken him, it was his final straw making him decide it was enough. He decided to give up on him. He decided to be happy for the two, probably the three...be a good friend to Ray.

"What are you gonna do?" he had asked in a low voice, hiding the fact that he was breaking inside.

"I don't know. Marry her i guess."

In that darkness, Alex could tell that Ray was pursing his lips, eyes closed. He always did that when he was worried. He knew him that well.

He hummed, the room going back to being silent. The two had laid on their back, staring at the space just on their own thoughts. Then Ray rolled on his side, staring at him.

He was so close because unlike Ray's his bed was smaller. He felt his eyes on him, he definitely had something to say to him but was contemplating whether to say it or not. Alex had decided to wait, wait for him to say whatever he wanted to say and if he couldn't, probably to let it slide.

"Are you okay with it though?"

He said it. Or rather, he asked it leaving Alex confused as to why Ray thought he was not okay with it. Confused and scared. Scared of the possibility that Ray knew all along, that he was in love him. He was tempted to ask why he thought he wasn't okay with it but that was going to interfere with his resolution to move on from Ray. But then...fuck resolution.

"Why?" He did it. If he was going to move on from his six years unrequited love, then at least he deserved that. Knowing what Ray thought about him.

He waited for the answer that didn't come. Ray rolled back to his back again and they were back to being silent while staring at the space. At one point in time, Ray had sighed, turned back to him, his lips pressing at his. The kiss had ended as soon as it started. He was sure that it definitely happened. And he liked it. Hell no, he loved it. It was more like the ones in his dreams though just a little short and without him sloppily kissing him back.

That had been the night he had decided to give up on Ray. That again was the night he decided to never give up on his feelings for him. Even if he was never going to like him back, even knowing that maybe that kiss was because of pity, he decided to hold on to his feelings tighter. Hold onto the memory of that one single kiss. And he did.

Ray and Laura got married and because he couldn't bear the pain of seeing them together, and guilt of kissing Ray, he moved to California.

Seven years, almost eight years of not seeing his best friend. Almost eight years of avoiding him. But Ray had to follow him. Two years ago, Ray had to follow him and again make his heart flutter.

Two years ago. Thinking about the betrayal of two years ago, Alex knew that he couldn't face Laura. Not when he had just thought about all this. But he has to see someone, he had to stop history from repeating itself.

So he texted.

•Won't be able to make it. Something came up •
