Chapter 17: I insulted her

To start with, I turned off the Television. I don't want any disturbance. Getting straight to the point, I started. Still nervous and nauseated, but I started. Mere confession couldn't be that hard, could it?

"So you've known me for roughly four years, and you treated Jayceline like your own all this while. Well, I haven't been exactly truthful or open about all these. I know, I'm a bad friend." I pause to gauge her reaction before continuing.

"I haven't been a good friend," I repeated. something within me just wished, just hoped that she'd tell me no, you are trying, you are a good friend.

I looked at her oddly calm face and I knew my wishful thinking will end there, as a wishful thought.

"Even after proclaiming you are my sister, I still kept things to myself. Well, I've decided," I finally got interrupted. Thank goodness, she finally said something... but it wasn't what I was expecting but it was at least still something.

"I always suspected you to be hiding stuff..."
