Lianna Morris,
Mr. Sergio Ross is a professor for the representatives who chose to take sorcery classes. He's been going on about how he was such a powerful mage in his youth and talked all about his adventures. I'm just waiting for him to show us how to do sorcery. There are seven of us inside the class, three of us were girls, and the rest is history.
"Alrighty! I know everyone's excited to do the actual stuff. So I'll stop my chattering and we will start with the basics. I've been informed that some of you still don't know the basics." Professor Sergio smiled at me and the other representatives looked at me.
Excuse you!? I know how to do basic magic for your information! My father did teach me in the shadows while my mother doesn't see us, however, he only taught me the simplest magic there is because my mother caught him teaching me. And then Mother ended up banishing Father from our home. I hate how overprotective she is. I don't even know why she's so paranoid all the time, it's like she lost touch with reality.
"You don't know the basics?" Henry asked beside me and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Of course, I know!"
Do I really look like a dummy?
"Hey! Shut up, will ya'? It's annoying..." Beside me was Pay me or should I say, Peyton. Pay me suits him better though, tch!
"You're the annoying one..." I muttered.
People might wonder how I ended up being in the middle of these two. I was supposedly not in the middle, however, King Henry here forced me to scoot over. In the process, I ended up sitting next to Peyton; whose friend I'd fought with.
"Would anyone like to demonstrate the basics?" Professor Sergio asked for a volunteer.
Why is he even asking his student to demonstrate it? This lazy dummy.
"If you don't mind, I would love to." Godiva who was the only one who had her hand raised said.
"Great, show us your greatness, Godiva! I might just make you the top in our class!" Professor Sergio said.
The aura and tension around me suddenly changed. I looked back and forth at Henry and Peyton. Oh! I see... they are threatened by Godiva now? GO GODIVA! Her name has the word god in it, she'll obviously be better than them. I heard from Peronell that Godiva's parents are the Lugus' royal's mages, and because of that she also lives in the palace.
Godiva demonstrated simple magic, which was creating a barrier around her. The people inside the class applaud except for Peyton who looked bored.
"And that is called barrier magic. Remember, the colour of the magic depends on its owner. Like Godiva, the shade is grey." Professor Sergio finally looked severe. "To be able to perform magic properly, you have to hold a gem that's been purified by the tree of life. Mages mostly use a staff or a book to put the gem." Professor Sergio showed us how to do the barrier magic step by step.
Of course, I already knew since I'm that great. Barrier magic is super basic!
It was our turn to do the barrier magic, one by one. I am a bit nervous since all of these people will be judging you if you won't able to do it. After Henry successfully did it and it was my turn. They were all sitting in their seats as they look at me. I placed my left hand on the book that was placed on Professor Sergio's desk and my right hand in the air. I put my hand into a fist and opened it once again.
Instead, a pink pentagram appeared and I panicked since I couldn't move my right hand. I moved my left hand away from the book expecting the pentagram to disappear, however, it was still there and my hand was still in place. I tried to remove it and I moved my left hand to the pentagram. The pentagram started spinning, and a big blow of air and a loud roar left the pentagram. And then it disappeared.
"Was that supposed to happen?" I asked Professor Sergio who was dumbstruck.
The other representatives had a makeover, their hair was all over the place. It was probably because of the wind that came out of the pentagram.
"No, it wasn't supposed to." Professor Sergio finally replied.
Professor Sergio asked me to take a sit and we continued with the others. They all managed to do it. How come mine was different?!
"You're really bad at this aren't you?" Peyton was smirking.
Does he want me to do the same thing that I did to his friend?
"Haha! She is, but at least she's cute." Henry was laughing.
They badly want me to kick them where the sun doesn't shine, huh? I'm so furious, however, I managed to calm myself before I could do anything bad to them.
"I'll announce your individual grades for the barrier magic. Everyone did great! That's why I give you all an A for your efforts. Well... except for Miss Morris though." Everyone's eyes were directed at me as Professor Sergio continued to talk. "Miss Morris did a different spell, it was no barrier magic. But you know what? She will have a B since that type of magic is only done by experienced mages. Great job, Miss Morris!" Professor Sergio gave me a thumbs up and I did the same.
"That's what makes me special and different from you two. I can actually do much more than barrier magic." I flaunt at the annoying men to my left and right.
"You do know that you got a B, instead of an A, right?" Henry pointed out and I rolled my eyes at him.
"And we're both from a family known for being the most amazing mages. If we're talking about who's in the lower rank. It's you." Peyton had no remorse.
"My father is known for being the powerful mage in Norstow. Don't underestimate me."
"She's even cuter when she's angry!" Henry suddenly cling to me, which caught me off guard since I was shooting death glares at Peyton.
"Please, I don't like being touched." I felt uncomfortable with Henry being all touchy.
"Stop touching her. She's uncomfortable with it, are you deaf?" Peyton smacked Henry's arm away from me. Henry yelped in pain as he pouted at Peyton.
"You're so mean to me! I thought you'll cosy up to me once we're in the same class. However! You're still bullying me." Henry complained to Peyton who paid him no attention.
These two... are they close? Or are they not? I'm confused.
"I'll acknowledge your greatness since you can do the pentagram magic without needing a familiar. Usually, mages need a familiar to be able to perform the pentagram magic." Peyton complimented me, however, he wasn't looking at me.
Is looking anywhere better than looking at my beautiful face?
"Where do you use the pentagram for?" I asked Peyton, who doesn't seem to mind me asking stuff.
"It does a lot of things. It can easily summon anything, like what you did earlier. You summoned a wind. You can also use the pentagram as a shield, maybe that's why you summoned it instead of an actual barrier."
I wrote everything Peyton said in my notes.
"This is the first time I see Peyton chatting with a girl. I must say, it's such a sight." Henry teased Peyton.
"Are you just gonna ignore him? Aren't you annoyed by him?"
"He's on mute." Peyton replied to my question.
"What?" I was confused.
"Blocked hearing magic." Peyton simply said and I immediately understood.
"I don't blame you." I stole a glance at Henry who looked down, I guess he has been listening.
-
I busted the door of the infirmary open as I searched far and wide for darling Dan.
"Where is Cedany?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Cedany was nowhere to be seen, I looked at every corner, and still no Cedany! I went up to Gladys who was taking a nap at her desk.
"Hello?" I tried to get her attention.
"She's on a date." Gladys had her eyes closed.
"What?! That's impossible!" I went out of the room to go and look for the missing lady.
I went everywhere, including our dorm room. She was still nowhere to be seen, even Peronell was nowhere to be seen. I sighed as I stopped at the Archery room.
"Why is the world so cruel to me!? I fucking hate you!" I threw a tantrum, I kept kicking the air until I heard footsteps.
"What's wrong?" Someone asked behind me.
I looked at the person and he was the most elegant man that I've ever seen in my entire life.
"I'm trying to find a girl with pink hair." I changed from Lina to Lianna real quick.
"I see. I think she went with Simon, the pretty man." He gently smiled.
"I think you're talking about yourself..." I muttered, thinking that he won't be able to hear it.
I then heard him chuckling and I looked at him with a dumbfounded look.
"You think I'm pretty? Thank you for thinking so." I blushed in embarrassment. "I think you're the pretty one here. My name is Athalos Bolbec. If you don't mind me asking your name, little rabbit?" Athalos extended a hand and I gave him my hand.
"I'm Lianna Morris, you can just call me a little rabbit." I smiled sheepishly and he patted my head.
"I shall call you that then." Athalos chuckled, I can't help but feel as if my soul was gonna leave my body.
"Yes, you shall!" I am a fool for falling for a man's beauty, however, I would not be less of a fool if I did not fall for Athalos Bolbec.
"You're funny, little rabbit. Would you care to join me?" I immediately nodded with no hesitation.
I followed Athalos inside the room and there was a cage full of rabbits there. Athalos went to the rabbits and let one out. The rabbit snuggled on Athalos' chest. What a lucky rabbit.
"Why is there a cage full of rabbits here?"
"These rabbits were supposedly going to be our target for Archery class today. However, I just can't let it happen. These cute animals don't deserve to be treated like this, don't you think so?" Athalos looked at me with a melancholy look.
"That's just cruel. First the DeepClaw and now these rabbits." I went to pet the rabbit Athalos is holding, however, before I could even touch it. The rabbit bit me! "Ack! Why!?" I cried since my finger was bleeding.
I heard Athalos chuckle as I looked at him in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, I just can't help it. You're hilarious!"
Athalos' laugh was heaven-sent, but he better shut up before I sew his mouth.
"That rabbit is cute, but it's the devil, himself. What an evil little rabbit, tsk!" I brought out the handkerchief Cedric gave me and stopped the bleeding using it.
"The rabbit is like you though. Being cute and evil." Athalos held my hand and the handkerchief.
"I'm evil? How come I'm evil?"
Did he perhaps see me throw a tantrum earlier?
"Is this Cedric's handkerchief?" He must've seen the crest on the handkerchief.
"Ah, yes. He lent it to me." Athalos tied the handkerchief to my finger as he smiled at me.
"I'm quite jealous..." I looked at Athalos in confusion.
"Why?" I asked and he smiled at me.
"Cedric gave you a handkerchief and he wouldn't even talk to me. He isn't the type to show his kindness to just anyone." Athalos chuckled.
"Are you two close?"
"I guess you can say that." Athalos sat on a chair and I followed him.
"You're still holding that evil rabbit? Just look at its eyes flaring at me with those soulless looks." I stared at the rabbit who was staring at me.
"I think it's trying to apologize to you. Aren't you, adorable little rabbit?" Athalos is quite fond of the rabbit he's holding.
I am no match for this rabbit, it seems.
"Oh, there you are!" A girl appeared from the door.
We watch her come towards us. She was skipping happily. This girl is also a representative like us, judging by the uniform that she's wearing.
"Muriel? Why are you looking for me?" Athalos asked Muriel, the girl who is standing in front of us.
"I wanted to hang out with you! I thought you were following me to the cafeteria earlier. However, when I turned around. You weren't there! I was talking to myself the entire time, that was kind of silly of me." Muriel was blushing in embarrassment.
"I was just taking care of these rabbits. You can stay here with us if you want to." Athalos smiled at Muriel who obviously likes Athalos.
Muriel was blushing and talking to Athalos the entire time. It was like I wasn't even there.
"This girl right here. Who is she? Don't tell me you have a thing with her." Muriel said to Athalos.
She does know that I'm right in front of her right? She can just ask me directly.
"This is Lianna Morris, my little rabbit." Athalos smiled at me and I just sat there with a forced smile.
"Huh? Your little rabbit? I think she's more of a horse! I think rabbits are too cute and angelic to be like her." Muriel was laughing. I, on the other hand, was trying my hardest not to smack the fuck out of her.
"I think Lianna is cute and angelic." Athalos looked like he isn't aware of Muriel's intention. How dense can the men here get?
"You must really like her to say such things! What about me? What kind of animal do you think I am?" Muriel batted her eyes.
"I think you represent a horse more rather than Lianna." Muriel and I were shocked by his words.
"Are you joking around with me?" Muriel was in disbelief.
"I don't think he is."
"What made you think I'm joking? I mean all of the things I say." Athalos stood up and returned the rabbit to its cage.
"I don't like that I'm a horse. I'm much more adorable! Don't you think so?" She was getting desperate at this point.
"I don't think so." With no remorse, Athalos said that.
"You're such a meanie!" Muriel hit Athalos' chest softly. "I'll let this pass since I like you so much!" Muriel hugged Athalos and she soon left the room.
"Little rabbit, you've been quiet. Why is that?" Athalos was close to me, I didn't even notice that he was near me.
"This little rabbit is a bit sad."
"And why are you sad, little rabbit?" Athalos patted my head.
He likes doing that, doesn't he?
"It's unfair how Muriel gets to hug you." I pouted.
I also want a hug! If Muriel is gonna act all innocent, then I'll play along with her. I can act dumb and stupid too! That's my expertise.
"I'll hug you then." Athalos didn't even give me time to process what he just said.
Athalos hugged me and my head pressed on his chest. We just met! How did it come to this? I must say though, his chest is a great pillow. I put my arms around his waist and snuggled on his chest. Athalos caressed my head and I can't help but feel sleepy.
