Chapter 175: The Crown (4)

Chapter 175: The Crown (4)

~Jack POV~

According to Theodore's memories of being brainwashed, he took him to two of their HQ in Vacuo.

The Mirage and the Crown Bunker.

The Mirage is a secret fight club located outside of the city of Vacuo. By daytime, it takes the cover of an abandoned Mistral Trading Company refinery.

By night, it serves as a secret headquarters and fighting pit for The Crown. The club's motto is

'For Crown and Kingdom'. Its emblem was that of a silver, three-pointed crown.

The Crown Bunker is an underground bunker located in the middle of the Wastelands in Vacuo, near a CCT relay tower. It served as a secret hideaway and throne room for The Crown, and where its army hid.

The Crown's Bunker was an underground facility deep beneath the Wastelands, a large desert in Vacuo. The entrance of the bunker was hidden deep underground, buried beneath the desert sands near a CCT relay tower.

Wait the Wastelands…

God damn it.

Of course, they have to have a base that's highly populated by Grimm.

Just perfect.

The Wastelands are a large desert near Vacuo, which is guarded by Vacuo's Grimm Watch and Shade Academy Huntsmen, being home to many Grimm. In order to monitor the desert and its hostile inhabitants, the city has installed perimeter detectors in several locations throughout the sand.

It is unknown exactly how many types of Grimm live in the desert, but it is shown that Jackalopes, Dromedons, King Taijitus, Ziraphs, and Death Stalkers take residence there.

The Wastelands are also home to various underground locations like The Crown or the abandoned Mistral Trading Company.

Hmmm…

Might as well send a few of my to do some past-time spring cleaning of the Grimm.

No need for a flood of them to attack us however now remembering The Crown plan theirs is really stupid for me to consider when they didn't have much planning for the future and lead by an idiot.

But most of all Amish army of this world's objective is quite literally… stupid.

No like cringe-worthy stupid along with their objective.

More like annoying pissants that need to be squashed.

The Crown had two goals, the first was to restore Vacuo's monarchy by using rogue Huntsmen centered around Vacuo to secretly kidnap people with powerful Semblances to acquire an unstoppable army.

To do so, the group made use of two hideouts: The Mirage and The Crown bunker.

The Mirage would serve as a fight club hotspot so that they could identify new members to add to their ranks, and The Crown's bunker remained hidden away in which Gillian used her Semblance to build up a super-powered army.

Using this army, they would decimate any resistance in Vacuo, toppling Shade Academy as the ruling authority with the aim to place the Asturias twins as a new king and queen and restore Vacuo to its former glory like that of 1,000 years ago.

Jax alludes to the fact they could potentially later turn their eyes to the world beyond. The group looked down on using Dust because they saw it as one of the reasons that Vacuo lost many of its valuable resources to the other Kingdoms.

Wait…

Would that mean they would have to fuck like incest to create…

Oh god, that's really fucked up.

Not going to acknowledge that I'm choosing to ignore that entirely if they ever wanted an heir.

But sadly, that kind of idea is flawed from the very beginning because of very few known facts that need to be addressed.

Salem and the Kingdoms.

No way they would let a tyrant like Jax a stupid and delusional man-child do as he pleases and will die quickly.

Another thing he would have crippled humanity back in ancient times?

Fuck that.

I like my showers and AC in my own room.

No way I'm letting this fucker get away from doing all of that.

But also, another factor that comes to play if Jax ever accomplishes his goals is the mere fact that he will become a tyrant or dictator to everyone he controls.

I know how this song and dance goes if it ever gets through the following years and the fates of those who follow that path of dictators or tyrants.

They will more likely get killed by those close to them or assassinated for their seat in power for a new tyrant or dictator to take over.

Like Blank says in No Game No Life or from human history repeating itself with this dynamic.

While we hurry along the way to The Mirage first to get rid of any Crownsmen that are fully loyal to Jax then to the Crown Bunker I took this chance to upgrade a skill.

Opening up the skill and gazing at the screen I began to click around getting what skills need to be fused, since I was wondering if I can upgrade to something more versatile than just stay.

[-Choose the following Skills to Fuse into a new one-]

[-Freeze-]

[-Aura Amp-]

[-Power Augmentation-]

[-If the following -Freeze-, -Aura Amp-, and -Power Augmentation- fused result in: -]

[-Notice if fuse you lose the materials used to fuse-]

[The Skill Lv.68 has been relearned!]

[The Skill Lv.31 has been relearned!]

?

Like, create a set of orders of actions that will happen or something else entirely?

Hmm…

Wonder what this one can do.

Skill List.

----

(Active) Lv.1/100 Exp: 0%

AP Cost: Varies

Description: is a skill that reinforces the user's words with their aura as the cost, which compels the listeners to act or be acted upon based on those words of what the user has said. The higher the order the higher the AP Cost will be for the listener.

----

Huh?

Isn't this something along the lines of Cursed Speech?

Then again though it is more versatile than the original comparing it with the skill is superior to it in every way.

I mean that's one powerful OP skill to have and I'm not going to complain too much about it.

"Sir we're here."

Listening over to 2B voice we finally arrive at our first destination The Mirage. Nodding at this 2B, Koro, and I began to enter the building of The Mirage.

Originally a Dust refinery, the Mirage is a study warehouse built of steel, which would provide cover from sandstorms with ease. It had been built with shiny, reflective walls to keep the interior cooled in the heat.

The building had large steel doors which were strong enough to be able to block a swing from Fulcrum without sustaining damage.

We all went inside, a narrow, dark hallway led to a larger room with a golden cage surrounded by tables and chairs. The Mirage had an elevated platform which allowed for an announcer to watch the fight without any danger, and comments on the cage matches.

The room pounded with techno music through speakers, and Aura boards were mounted up for audiences. The Mirage's walls were filled with a large assortment of weapons that served as decor for the club.

That's the description of the place while I began to use on them to know there are a few that are loyal to The Crown by freewill with telling my group to kill them off with Koro using to have his shadow chew the dead away into nothing.

At least he's a good dog.

Even he knows how to take out the trash.

While I could get the few EXP for free it was best that we hurry this up.

With Jax Semblance is really annoying but might have its uses, however, though I would prefer not to because of the fact it fucks with people's minds.

I already have for that and is simply filled with controlling my enemy although I could use this to get some people out of the way or simply test if those Brothers could be controlled.

….

Well…. It could be a handy skill but that will depend on the requirements for the needed.

Ignoring the destruction that Koro and 2B had done to the ones that are loyal to him here in The Mirage we decided to move our next direction to the Crown Bunker to nip this in the bud.

I want to have my tournament fight already and I don't want any of these mooks messing it all up because of their wanting to be back in the ancient times by a man-child.

Before that though let's see what it will take for them to understand how bad it is to fight against me.

There is going to be a lot of work I just know it.

"Arf!"

"Sir we are done."

Hearing the responses of my two allies I smiled while motioning the two of them to come after me, "Ok 2B and Koro. Time for us to get to work in finishing off The Crown, get our contract deal, and go home."

"Yes, sir/Arf!"

Smiling at that we proceeded to go ahead.

I just wonder how things are going to be in the near future.

~? POV~

Hmm…

He seems to be improving a lot in the shortcoming days thanks to his ability of [The Gamer].

Growing very fast and strong yet trying to control said strength with some effort.

Soon enough he's going to be strong enough to surpass even me given enough time.

Maybe it's time…

Time to see if he's worthy to call my name for battle.

Yes, I suppose it's time to see if he has grown strong enough, or will he overpower me?

Ah…

Been a while since I was uncertain about things despite viewing how strong Jack Nights have grown.

With the overwhelming number of skills, he collected or trained it could be just as hard to see me win but at the same time savor such a fight happening.

Hm….

Perhaps when he's done with this quest I would immediately fight him to see if his really worthy of calling my name.

Till then I guess I would have to wait and see…
