Once, there was a backward country called the Crown in this land. The country was extremely poor, small, and weak compared to others due to its geographical position. No person wanted to live in this country because of its climate, but everything changed after one man established his clan there.
His name was Nikola Graham Cerron, a boy who dreamed of the bigger world. He questioned the existence of Gods by suggesting his scientific and logical reasoning despite their absolute status. However, that was ultimately his reason for his exile. He was exiled to the ruined area where no one dared to live.
First, he built a proper water system in his house by using the scrap metals that he found in the ruins. He collected the metals and melted them down by using his old blacksmith tools. Unlike others, he was extremely gifted in blacksmithing in his town. He was regarded as a child of the Dwarven God or Fire God despite his human appearance.
He skillfully melted the old metal and poured it into acid which he created from collecting various rocks and minerals from the volcano nearby his house. The sulfuric acid divided the metals and gave him a chance to complete the thing which he was looking for- Iron. Nikola wiped his sweat and continued to melt down the scraps to create more iron for his next objective which was steel. He knew carbonized steel could create one of the toughest man-made metal and most useful man-made metals on the planet.
Tang, tang*
The days have passed since his arrival. First, he created a perfect blacksmithing place for himself, using steel from his creation. After that, he created mechanized tools that could him in his smithing which boosted his workload. Within a single month, he created a house that nobody could manage to build in this wasteland. He even used his free time to build a vegetable paddy for his food source.
" Eat more, Johnathan. We will be having neighbors soon and I will create the greatest city in the world, far leaving those temple cities in the dust."
Nikola laughed while looking at his goats. He was able to trade these animals in exchange for his steel.
10 years have passed since his exile. Once nothing but an old shabby hut changed into a thriving community of people. Not just normal people, these people were the root of the country which he dreamed of for a long time. He gathered businessmen, scientists, engineers, and so on who were exiled by the society that was ruled by the mana holders. They were nothing but ants in their eyes. However, Nikola greeted them with open hands.
The old huts were replaced by the fortified steel and concrete which he made years ago, replacing the one-story houses with multi-story houses. Furthermore, he built a sewage system and road for the merchants. He believed the industry would change the economy of the country since he saw the powerful army of Roxanians who ruled half of the continent with their iron might and technology. Especially he admired the vision of Khan who invited scholars and mages to his country.
" Nikola, what the heck are you doing? We are having a feast tonight at Barney's. He said he created a new thing that will overshadow your automated lifter."
Vorsh said, smiling with a bright look. A long beard was dangling from his chin as he lifted his proud arms filled with muscles. As the head engineer in the town, he was one of the few people who could truly understand Nikola's vision of the future.
" Haha, is that so? He better be prepared for my next toy then."
Nikola said, showing a blueprint of his newest project. The pride of the inventor was surging through his blood as he imagined the future. He dreamed the flying vehicles, powerful mortals, sky-tall buildings, and so on. He knew his dream would come true someday, but sadly that also meant his lifespan wasn't enough for it.
After his era, the town changed into something amazing. The buildings were at least 6 or higher stories tall. The newly invented moving mana vehicles known as the mana car, the bridge that can lift itself, the crane that could lift tons of carriage, and so on. It was hard to imagine all of these inventions were visioned and created by a single bright man. His giant golden statue was standing proudly in the middle of the city, showing his bright smile. He was pointing to the sky and holding a book and a pen in his hand.
" Professor, why are we bowing to the first elder again?"
The student asked, not knowing about the significance of this man.
