The boy sang the song of the folklore of the south, creating a harmonic image on the deck while passengers looked at the beautiful view with a mesmerized look. The ocean seemed to wash away their thoughts as they felt warm and relaxed.
Even Licht and his company stayed on the deck to enjoy the view of the setting sun. Each of them felt different feelings, but they couldn't turn away from the beautiful image of the sun that was hiding behind the curtains.
They said the land of gods had the beauty of the celestials and that came to live as they saw the sun. They felt it washed away their worry and chased away all evil things with its last rays.
" I could feel the divine energy even from here. No wonder people worshipped the gods and called this land of gods. Everything had the split of divine power."
Lisha said with amazement, showing her cute side to others. Daemon laughed at her words, patting her hair despite her glare. He acted like he didn't notice it at all.
" This is the land of chance and treasures. However, not many can return from here with ill intentions. There are orders of gods that protect the people from harm. Especially, you have to be wary of heresy inquisitors because they are fanatics that serve their gods with their all. Even I don't want to see their faces."
Daemon warned with a stern face, knowing the powerful armies of the gods. The orders were powerful enough to topple top countries in the world and they were heading toward the holy empire where the churches had gathered together.
" Indeed, we need a proper guide to reach there, but we need to be careful of them since most of them are devoted in their beliefs. Each god had unique beliefs and some of them are enemies despite their statuses. For example: War God and Justice Goddess don't get along well. Contrary, Goddess of life and God of death go along pretty well."
Regina added in with a calm tone. She wiped the rifle without any care because no weapons were prohibited here due to safety issues. The Desert was filled with monsters and the steppe had bandits that hid like rats from the eyes of the orders. Therefore, many cities and countries allow weapons with only a few restrictions such as banning them in the capital or noble districts.
" So, where will get our guide? Our kingdom didn't prepare the guide, right?"
Leah folded her arms, asking the most important question. The squad fell into silence because they forgot this issue due to their bliss of traveling. No one gave a thought to that issue until she brought it up. Even Licht and Regina who were the leaders completely forgot about it as they broke out in cold sweat.
There were many good adventurers and mercenaries in the south, but scouts and guides were as rare as the day stars. Not many were willing to explore the lands filled with monsters, risking their lives on the lines for a little bit of money.
" You completely forgot about it, didn't you?"
Leah glared at two of them who were trying to change the object. There was no way that guilds would lend out their invaluable scouts and guides to them cheaply. They would try to rip off their flesh from their bones unless they become part of orders that could request their help for free without any pressure.
" This is troublesome. Somehow, we need to find a person who is both knowledgeable and strong enough to accompany us to the capital. Do you think our fund would be enough?"
Mikael asked, showing his concern for their well-being. Their kingdom was infamous for its financial management problems due to its lack of financial experts. Their finance minister was so busy that he had no time to rest due to his busy schedule.
" Not necessarily. Recently Windsor had army expansion and our expense was cut."
Cynthia answered without any hesitation and that made the atmosphere heavy because they realized they were poor in rich people's land. There was no way they would expose their identities until the capital.
" We are fucked."
Daemon held his head with stress.
