Chapter 10

Time skip:5 years late.

All the students who were practicing were exhausted after training. Some of them went back to their dorms whereas others went to get some rest. However, one student was standing by himself in the rain outside.

He slowly lifted his head and looked at the sky. He saw many clouds that were moving in the sky with lightning bolts following closely behind them. Then he closed his eyes as he waited for what the weather was going to become next.

Just as he thought, a bolt of lightning struck down onto the ground causing a tremendous explosion.

As he looked up at the sky in disbelief, a few more thunderclaps were heard.

The students were shocked. Everyone was staring at the sky in surprise, especially the two leaders who were sitting on top of the mountain near the ruins of the school. As for the rest of the students who were at the foot of the mountain, they were frozen as they didn't dare to move.

It seemed as though something terrible had just taken place.

The students who were training were all too shocked and frightened to move; they were all trembling and unable to speak a word.

A loud booming sound came out from above. All the students and adults looked at the sky as they witnessed a huge explosion coming from somewhere in the sky. As the dust cleared, they saw a giant crater and large chunks of concrete falling all around. The students looked around in shock and awe before their eyes landed on a lone figure stood still in front of the hole made.

He slowly turned around. His skin tone wasn't dark, nor was he pale. His skin was the shade of gold and his eyes were blue as usual.

But this wasn't what surprised the students. What scared them even more was the fact that not only was the person covered in dust and debris, his clothes were torn and dirty.

His arms and legs were covered with wounds that were bleeding badly. He also had burns all over his body. He looked like a walking pile of trash.

He slowly moved his head to look at the students with a weak and tired smile. His lips quivered. The sight of his injuries made the students' hearts ache. He was clearly injured and was trying really hard to stand up without any support because of the pain from his injuries.

The students immediately ran out of fear as soon as they noticed the damage he had done and tried to help him, but he waved them off and walked forward.

When he finally got close enough, he fell to the ground and passed out shortly after. His condition wasn't good. Not only was his wounds extremely extensive but he needed to get medical treatment to make sure his wounds would heal properly and prevent any infection or infections to form.

He didn't notice that the group of students that surrounded him as they helped him get into an ambulance. Even then, he didn't pay attention to their actions. At first he struggled to keep his eyes open; however, after the paramedics arrived on scene, he quickly fell asleep with the help of the paramedics.

He slept for a day and a half. He woke up sometime later. By this time, many people had gathered at the hospital to visit him. Most of the doctors that examined him found that he was in quite bad shape, but they kept him alive.

Everyone wanted answers as to why a normal human being had transformed into what appeared to be an insane killer with no emotion. They had all questions regarding his origins and where he came from. Many of them wondered if he was crazy.

Even though he was unconscious, he stayed unconscious until he regained consciousness the day after yesterday. He was still asleep when he woke up since he was still recovering from the wounds that he sustained while transforming.

Today, as soon as the doctor finished with the examinations, he walked to the door of his room. He looked down at his bandages to check how they were treating him. Satisfied that he hadn't been harmed any further, he left the room.

The doctor glanced through the corridor to check if anyone was near before entering another room. He opened the door and walked inside. He sighed. He hated to wake the patients up so early but there was no other option. They had no choice but to treat him as he needs to heal quickly.

"You're awake." The Doctor greeted him as he sat at the desk.

"Yes, you can stop pretending that you weren't watching me every single second." Alex replied dryly.

The doctor smiled slightly before turning serious. "There's something important that I have to tell you. Something big."

Alex frowned slightly and waited for the Doctor to continue. "Do you remember how everything happened in your dimension? How you were attacked?" He asked, making Alex nod his head. "Well, there was someone in charge of protecting you."

"Was it you? Or did you come along to protect me?" Alex asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.

The Doctor shook his head. "You were completely alone in this dimension. No one came to help you; in fact, nobody knows about you either. You were just lucky that it didn't last forever since I was sent to help you. But what I'm trying to say is that there's something very strange going on here." He stated as he leaned forwards and looked straight at Alex. "What is most surprising is that you managed to defeat a demigod that we thought impossible for so long. You managed to defeat him despite the odds being against you and defeating him by using his own sword as his weapon."

"So you aren't talking about me, then... Are you saying that there are other people hiding out among the humans?" Alex asked confused.

"Yeah, there's actually two humans that are hiding out among them. One of them has dark blue skin like yours and the other has green skin like mine. Their names are Hercules and Demetrius," the Doctor explained. "They are actually two brothers called Diarmuid and Diarmuid."

Alexander's expression changed slightly as his heart began to beat faster.

"Diarmuid is Demetrius' younger brother and they share a blood bond. However, Diarmuid doesn't seem to be in control of his new powers." Alex remembered the moment where the young boy's power grew so powerful that it nearly killed him. "Diarmuid seems to have lost control of what he can transform into."

"Diarmuid is also suffering from a disease called Famine; it's a rare disease for which he suffers severe hunger. In short, Diarmuid is a poor human being who doesn'
