CHAPTER 5 SAKURA NO HANA

"Wind blows

Cherry blossom petals

Carried by the wind

I send my feelings

Through the breath

For you"

Ubud, present.

"Mommy! " a little girl came to her workroom while Andini was working at computer.  Tried to edit some pictures.

" Yes, baby. " she said to the little girl.

" What are you doing, Mommy? " the little girl sat on her lap.

Andini hugged her and kissed the little girl's cheeks.

" I'm working, baby. "

" Can I stay here? " the little girl asked.

" Yes, you can. But you have to sit quietly on the sofa and don't disturb. Understand? " she smiled at the little girl.

" Yes, Mommy. I will be good. " The little nodded obediently and she kissed Andini's cheeks.

Then she sat on the sofa. She read the book with the title "Alaska".

She was her daughter. Sakura No Hana,  Andini named her.

This little girl was a gift from God for her.  Sakura was her destiny.  Her life. The fruit of her love seven years ago.  Maybe she was born without a plan.  Maybe she came in her womb unexpectedly.  All came so suddenly.  Without being planned.  Just liked what happened that night, so sudden and unplanned. Just liked her love for Masaki Ichiro, it was unplanned.  Unexpected. But Andini loved her baby so much.  Just as she loved her father.  Masaki Ichiro.

When Andini realized that she was pregnant in the third month after that night.  She cried happily.  She did not know why she was so happy when she realized she was carrying a baby.  The baby from the man she loved. Even though she was not married to him, not even have a  boyfriend. She felt the joy. She was not embarrassed. On the contrary, she was grateful.

Andini should have felt sad, not happy.  But if she was not like that she's not Andini.  She was always grateful for everything that happened in her life, even if it was a lack or pain.  Just as she was grateful when she realized that she had fallen in love with Masaki Ichiro, when she arrived in Indonesia, seven years ago. She accepted the feelings she have. She accepted all the consequences.

At that time, three months after returning to Indonesia from Osaka, Andini continued her work with Mr.  Hasigawa Takahiro.  Together with his working colleagues.  They made a solid work team.

Mr.  Hasigawa came with his team to Indonesia.

As originally planned, this work was based in Bali.  So we all left and stayed in Bali until this collaboration finished.

During those three months, they all prepared all matters relating to this work.  Starting from hotels, transportation and others.  Everything had been planned carefully.  So they expected that it would run smoothly.

Andini herself who picked up Mr. Hasigawa and his working team at Ngurah Rai Airport that morning.

"Nice to see you again, Ms. Sonata Andini. How are you?" said Mr. Hasigawa.

"I'm fine, Hasigawa San. I'm fine. How about you?"

"As you can see, I'm in a state of excitement, aren't I?"  Mr. Hasigawa smiled widely.

Then they left for the hotel.

Since that day Andini and her colleagues and the team from Japan were busy.  There was no day without work.  There was no day to remember anything but work.

Without realizing it, something had been missed.

That morning, seven years ago.  They all arrived at the photo shooting location in the Uluwatu area, Ungasan, Bali.

It would be a tiring day.

Equipment and cameras have been prepared.  The models were also dressed up.

Sweat poured down Andini's forehead.  That morning she woke up feeling lazy and tired.  Earlier when brushing her teeth she felt nauseous. 

"Ah. My stomach hurts again."  she thought.

Andini had breakfast this morning, because she was very hungry when she arrived at the hotel dining room.  She ate a lot that morning. 

Tita was surprised and asked "You're so hungry, huh? "

"Yes, Tita. I'm definitely hungry. " Andini blushed.

" Hey... It seems like you haven't eaten in three days " Tita chuckled.

Andini nodded her head and smiled.

" But you're a little pale today, darling," said Tita.

"Want to take rest for a day?" Tita asked.

"No, Tita. I don't think so. I've eaten a lot this morning and I'm taking vitamins, really." said Andini.

" But I'm worried about you. " said Tita again.

" It's okay. I will take a rest when we're done. Thank you. " Andini said.

The afternoon approached.  Andini was very hungry.  They together enjoyed the lunch that has been provided at the location.  Andini ate everything on the dining table.

Until they all mocked " Is there a monster in your stomach today, Andini?"

Andini laughed out loud .

"Maybe."  she said.

She didn't know yet that something would happen.

That afternoon, the sunset in Uluwatu was so beautiful.  Accompanied by the Kecak dance.  The sunset made a beautiful backdrop for the photo shoot. Finally everything was over for today.  We all returned to the hotel.

When everyone walked to the parking lot, Andini felt dizzy and she passed out.

Andini woke up when she was in the hospital. Tita and Mr. Hasigawa took her there.  And accompanied her until she regains consciousness.

"The doctor who examined you, will be here soon, dear. He will explain your current condition." Tita said.

It was strange that Tita held her hand tightly and her eyes were teary like she wanted to cry.

Mr.  Hasigawa smiled and said, "I think you should rest a few days here, Ms. Andini. Until your condition gets better. Me and Ms. Tita have already arranged a work schedule. So you better take a rest here first, ok?"

The doctor arrived later.  Tita and Mr.  Hasigawa was waiting outside.

"What happened to me, Doctor?"

"There's nothing to worry about, Mrs. Andini. Everything will go well if you follow all my advice."

"Yes, Doc. I'll listen. " Andini said.

"You are pregnant, Mrs. Andini. Your pregnancy is about 12 weeks, or 3 months. Congratulations. " the doctor said.

Andini felt she was getting more dizzy because of the shock and never thought she would become pregnant.  For a moment she was stunned. Something strange came deep down in her heart.

Then she listened to the doctor who explain everything Andini had to do.

Then the doctor left her. Tita and Mr. Hasigawa came back in.

Tita cried and hugged her tight.  Andini was crying too.  But these were not sad cries.  It was a cry of happiness.

"I'm having a baby,  Tita. I'm so happy."

And Tita crying out loud and hugged her tight more.

Mr.  Hasigawa congratulated her.

" Congratulations, Ms. Andini. I hope you'll be a great mother in the future. "

Then they returned to the hotel, leaving her alone.

" Lord. Thank You for the gift You gave to me. I will take care this baby. I will love this baby. Please just give me strength. " she prayed.

After being treated for three days.  Andini felt completely healthy.  She returned to the hotel. Tita picked her up. Everyone greeted her with happiness at lunch.  They all congratulated her.

Andini felt joy that was overflowing.  They wholeheartedly supported her and she could not give up.  She would raise her baby no matter what.  This baby was something precious to her.  This baby would always remind her of her love. Masaki Ichiro.

She caressed her belly. Trying to communicate to her baby.

" Hi, baby. Welcome to my life. I'll be waiting for you to come in this world. I hope you'll be fine. Don't worry we'll be fine. Your mommy gonna take care of you and love you. Everything will be alright. "

Her baby was born in December and Andini gave her the name Sakura no Hana which means cherry blossom.

Because the seeds of love planted when cheery blossoms was blooming in Osaka, Japan.

"Mommy... Why are you crying? " Sakura asked her.

"It's okay, baby. These is the tears of happiness. I'm so blessed to have you in my life." Andini hugged her tightly.

"I love you,  Mommy." she hugged her mommy with her little hands.

And then she ran to the window and looked up at the blue sky. 

"I love you, Daddy."
