Jorge 2

Far from San Meili's knowledge, an overwhelming fight was about to take place. The figure that landed on the plain he saw earlier was a hellish Giant Otter. A magical beast that could reach an incredible three miles (4.83 km) in length.

It was a magical beast that from birth could fly in the skies as if swimming in deep water. Proficient in the Air Element, it could create tornadoes, hurricanes and even tsunamis.

Whether its size and immense body, amount of spiritual energy, or destructive power, this magical beast was at the peak of it all! The presence of this magical beast here was an anomaly, however.

The Infernal Giant Otter lived in the far east of this underground world, and the region they were in now was the central region, far below the gigantic black ball radiating heat atop the roof of this world.

San Meili didn't understand these things, and even if she did, she wouldn't care a bit. Her being here meant only two things. Either she was too far away from her comfort zone in search of something, or the second and worst option for all the magical beasts of this underground world. A war of epic proportions!

This was not a pleasant option for anyone, since if it happened, this world would burn to the ground and create an ocean of blood. After all, the most powerful beasts would not stand still when someone invades their land.

Similar to what was happening now. The Infernal Giant Otter was an intermediate stage Rank 5 magical beast. Magical beasts of this level no longer have impunity to roam freely in other people's territory. After all, they are like walking nuclear bombs.

Their power of destruction is second to those nuclear bombs that were used at the end of the Second World War.

Because of this, there were always magical beasts that protected these areas, like the magical beast that was now heading for the location of the Infernal Giant Otter.

It was a Decaying Cold Griffon. A magical beast 98 feet (29.87 m) long. The entire front of its body was that of a gray eagle, with bright feathers that glowed with danger. The back of its body was that of a black jaguar, which camouflaged itself in the eternal darkness of this underground world.

With a pair of two colored wings, one gray and one black, it was one of the fastest magical beasts in the sky, even though it didn't have the Air element, but the Ice element, a sub-element of the Water element.

Flying at high speed, it flew for miles in moments, cutting through the air and passing the sound barrier. Friction with the air was not a problem, as his Ice element solved this problem.

As soon as he reached the plain, with a swoop, he landed right in front of the gigantic Infernal Spider. The Infernal Spider had a piece of the Twilight Tiger in its mouth. The other half presumably already in its stomach.

There were mutilated parts of beasts and magical beasts everywhere. The infernal Giant Otter ate the entire army, be it the neutral zone army or the Twilight Tiger's army.

More than 20,000 beasts and magical beasts turned into food. And from what it looked like from the expression of the Giant Otter, that wasn't enough to fill his belly. In front of the Infernal Giant Otter, the Decaying Cold Griffin just released his spiritual power.

The Infernal Giant Otter looked at him as if he were looking at an insect. Two Rank 5 magical beasts were about to fight, and no one dared to watch this fight.

*********

In a dark cave in a forest of shady trees, a completely white snake 50 feet (15.24 m) long was resting lazily. It had 3 horns on its head, with the central horn being the smallest. Below the snake's thin eye membranes were a pair of blood-red eyes.

This was San Meili's mother, who continued to live in the same cave where he was born, waiting for her baby to return. She suddenly opened her eyes and looked into the hole above her cave, the only way out.

A bird 5 feet (1.52 meters) long entered at that moment. It was a bird with dark blue feathers, with green eyes. This bird was a loyal servant of the white serpent, his best messenger. Because it had a dual elemental affinity, with Air and Water, it could reach impressive speeds despite its diminutive size.

As soon as the bird landed in front of the white serpent, its green eyes sparkled slightly, and the serpent's eyes sparkled as well. This was his lineage skill, he could transmit images of what he saw to anyone he wished.

As soon as San Meili left the cave to seek his own territory, his mother obviously wouldn't let him leave without someone to warn her if he was in danger.

So what if that broke the customs of magical beasts? If she were human and someone called her overprotective, she would say a big fuck you to that person! Her baby's life was more important!

As soon as she saw the images of San Meili fighting the Moon Gorilla, her heart ached to see him so wounded, but she also felt proud that he won.

Then she saw when he went to war, and although she was angry to see him get hurt over something as trivial as Rank 1 magic cores, she felt proud as a mother to see that he had his ways of getting what he wanted.

And then, she saw the arrival of the Infernal Spider, and saw how her cub sacrificed so much for the soul of some tree. She saw how hurt he was, and it filled her with hatred.

She was angry! Words would not be enough to describe the anger she felt at the moment.

After the image transmission was over, the bird trembled slightly as he saw the anger and murderous intent in his mistress' eyes. It got worse when he saw that part of that intent was directed at him. He was to blame too! Why didn't he warn her right after her baby's fight with that Moon Gorilla?!

In his own defense, the bird was also a magical beast, and just like all the others, he thought the chicks would only grow up after life and death struggles and trials.

Deciding that she would settle with him when she found her chick, she shot off with unmatched speed.

Her completely white body, which had once been 50 feet (15.24 m) long, was now 3,280 feet (1 km)!

This was her true size. Her size of 50 feet (15.24 m) was simply more practical for everyday living.

She shot through the forest, breaking trees and smashing whatever was in front of her. Her cub was injured, and anyone who dared to stand in front of her would face the wrath of a mother!!!

I didn't know how long I had been running. Perhaps from excessive blood loss, I could barely feel my body. My vision had long since darkened, and all I could see were blurs, which did little to help me see the path in front of me.

Even though I had wandered at the fastest speed possible for hours, I could still feel the tremors of whatever was facing that colossal magical beast. But that distance was still not safe.

If I had a human body, I could have sworn I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck twitching.

I lost count of how many roots I bumped into. How many trees I hit my head and how many holes I fell into. But I still didn't let go of the small wooden humanoid figure.

Ok... I need to give him a name. It will also distract me from the feeling of almost certain death I am currently experiencing.

I got it! Jorge! That's it! Not George, or Georgie, but Jorge! He has a strong, authoritative tone, which he should be if he weren't only 6 inches (15.24 cm) tall.

Just when I felt like I was about to faint, I saw a simply huge snake in front of me. It was white, with three horns on its head, and had red eyes just like mine.

When I saw my mother, my body relaxed at the same instant, and all the worries I had, either future or present, seemed to disappear. My mother, my safe haven, came to my rescue. I no longer have anything to worry about.

But how the hell did she get so big?

With this doubt in mind, I let my exhausted body fall and my turbulent mind erase into the oblivion of unconsciousness.
