I Couldn't Eat That?

They might have been scared for a moment, but they wouldn't stay that way for more than a second. The problem was, in that one second, they could have been killed. But strangely, San Meili didn't attack, and waited for them to recover. Why didn't he attack? He would not fight for survival here, but rather to kill invaders and vent his frustrations. What fun would it be if they died immediately?

The two brothers prepared for battle, letting their energy rise as high as possible, and launched themselves against San Meili. He was a threat, they could feel it in their bones! He should be eliminated before he developed further! The brother touched a tree and then a piece of the tree and in his hand a stick appeared. The girl climbed a tree, and then stood in a half-kneeling position with one hand on the ground while speaking a strange chant.

As soon as he was in front of Meili, he swung his stick with all his might downwards, intending to crush San Meili's head. A dark root 5 feet (1.52 m) high appeared, defending itself against the merciless attack. The root didn't break, however. The root bent awkwardly, but soon returned to its original position. Another root appeared, this root was darker, and had light gray spines all over it.

Because it appeared almost with the root that stopped his attack, the brother didn't have much time to react, he could only dodge the root hurriedly, but one of its thorns still touched him. The area, which was touched by the thorn, began to be eroded. His skin fell off, and soon his blood and muscles followed.

"Hellen, take care of it!" The brother shouted as he reformed the staff into a wooden spear with a sharp point.

"Leave it to me, brother!" With Hellen's response, his greenish aura began to form words in the air. Those words soon rushed towards her brother's arm, healing that horrible wound in seconds!

Looking at the brother duo with dissatisfaction, San Meili began to walk around the brothers, looking for a way to attack Hellen, as he found her most troublesome. There were cultivators like her in the Immortal World. But his power is stranger. The tree he used now is something specifically used to contain vampires, as it slows their supernatural regeneration to a level that their healing becomes superhuman at best.

But even though she was only a Rank 2 intermediate stage, she managed to regenerate that wound in less than 5 seconds. While circling the brothers slowly, San Meili felt increasingly frustrated. Their foundation was too solid! It was obvious that both of them didn't have much real experience. But whoever trained them made a point of nailing their base to their bones. The brother's choice of weapon was always a long gun, to stop any advance towards Hellen. Hellen, however, would stand on a high branch of some tree, to have time to react. San Meili could not even try to take control of the tree, since she was constantly infusing her spiritual energy into the tree!

What San Meili thought would be fun, was becoming tedious for him. Jorge, in his head, constantly gestured and grunted from above San Meili's head, as if he were threatening his brothers.

Just as San Meili contracted his muscles and was about to make a lunge, green tendrils emerged from the ground. Runes and strange words were coming out of Hellen's mouth, who was using these tendrils to seal San Meili's every move.

"Brother, strike fast, I can't hold that beast for long!"

"Ok~"

As the brother was running at San Meili with his spear already towards his head, Jorge became enraged. San Meili was calm, for although those luminescent tendrils were strong, they could not hold him if he wanted to be held. But Jorge's fury was a surprise to him. He only saw him this angry when he learned his own name.

He jumped out of San Meili's head and went on a murderous frenzy, toward his brother. It would be scary, if he wasn't only 8 inches (20.32 cm) tall and very cute. The brother just ignored him when he saw San Meili standing still and unresponsive. It seemed that Hellen's ability had become more powerful.

When he tried to pass Jorge, however, he was stopped by a single small wooden arm. Jorge then punched his brother in the shin, causing his leg to split in two, with a sickening noise of flesh being cut and bones being crushed. Everyone there, the brother still in pain, Hellen or even San Meili were shocked by little Jorge's strength. Maybe he should have called him David?

"Brother!" Waking up from her surprise, Hellen prepared to begin her chants to heal her brother. Her brother did not stand still either, trying to hit Jorge with his spear. Jorge, however, just punched the spear, breaking it into pieces!

Then he began to punch his brother violently in the face, until nothing was left but a bloody mess. Despite being in such a sorry state, and still receiving Jorge's punches without being able to fight back, it was possible to see that his surreal vampire regeneration was doing its job, trying to put his pieces together.

Thinking Jorge had already let his anger out, San Meili easily freed himself from Hellen's tendrils, as she was now more focused on saving her brother. Quickly arriving where the enraged Jorge was still punching a disfigured face, San Meili worked quickly before the healing came. Extremely sharp, dark roots emerged from the ground towards the faceless body.

Understanding San Meili's intent, Hellen climbed down from the tree as fast as she could, cursing and cursing the black serpent, while also threatening it. San Meili, on the other hand, didn't care a bit, and went on with his own business.

He tore open the headless body, and there, he saw what appeared to be a magic core, but completely red, as if it were made entirely of blood. As soon as he ate it, he was amazed by the taste. Whenever he had eaten magic cores before, it was as if he was eating the funniest tofu he had ever had the displeasure of tasting. But this core, unlike all the others, tasted more like pork belly.

As soon as he put the core in his mouth, Hellen arrived at his side, and he also received several messages from his mother. Annoyed by the overflow of things in his head, San Meili swung the rattle of his tail and threw Hellen against a tree a little way off.

Just then, Amanda, San Meili's mother, arrived like a tornado, and stopped right beside him. She started telling him to spit, while Hellen said that this was a violation of the covenant and that she would tell the vampire marquis about it, while Jorge went up on his head still mumbling about something and gesticulating with his little arms. Even Lu Bao Shi, in his Shadow Vision, seemed to say that he had made a wrong decision.

San Meili's head was a mess, he couldn't focus on anyone since everyone was talking at the same time. He was never very good at multitasking... he could only think about one thing.

Couldn't he eat that fine delicacy?
