Chapter 73: The Third Trial

Tara’s POV

“You’re a lot alike.”

“Huh?”

I turned my head to Victor as he spoke up. The group and I had been walking in silence for some time now, looking out for clues or hints that might make this third and last trial easier, but we hadn’t found anything as of yet.

This was also the first time since we had entered the forest that Victor had acknowledged me directly. So when I turned to him with a questioning gaze I was surprised that he was looking at me, too.

He turned away when I caught his eye, and looked at the rest of the group who was walking some paces below us. Victor turned to continue scaling the hill we were climbing. “You and Alexandria, you had the same reaction when it came to those kids in the forest. She got angry just like you did, too, with the examiner.”

“Oh.”
