Chapter 80: We’ve Met Before

Tara’s POV

I was jolted awake by water being poured over my head.

When I tried to scramble up and away from the incoming water source that I had deemed a threat to my immediate life, I was shocked to find that I couldn’t move my arms around much. Instead of placing them in front of me and lifting my body up, I felt them constricted behind my back and my eyes came face to face with Victor, who was in a similar situation like myself.

“Pick them up from the floor, how do you three treat your guests? We aren’t animals—ah, well. We aren’t fully at least,” a man’s voice called out, loud and strong.

“He thinks he’s so clever,” another male’s voice shot out.

“Bet he felt really proud of that one,” a female’s voice called out this time.

“He definitely is, look at that look on his face. Disgraceful.” A third and final voice rang out before Victor and I were hoisted to our knees in front of the four people who occupied the room with us.
