Chapter 136: Searching for Alexandria

Tara’s POV

Sima found me first.

I didn’t know where exactly I had ended up by the time I finally saw a familiar face. Her wide eyes stared up at me as I found her, and I could barely keep my own open as she rushed toward me and kept me from falling to the ground. I whimpered out as she held me tightly, almost crushing what felt like fragile bones inside of my body.

“Tara,” she cried out, and I could feel her eyes raking across every inch of me. The blood still coated my body, my own blood, from where I had been coughing uncontrollably. “Tara what happened? Whose blood is this?”

“M–” I couldn’t even get a word out, my throat was too dry and my body was too weak to be able to form any comprehensible sentence.

‘Mine.’
