Chapter 137: Walking With The Boys

Tara’s POV

“I’m not crippled, you know,” I laughed as Axel and Evan each took my arm and held me close to their bodies.

I hadn’t even reached the bottom of the staircase where the two of them were waiting for me before they reached out and grabbed my hands, pulling me to their side as we began to walk.

“We know you’re not crippled, Tara. Don’t be silly,” Evan replied as he tapped my head with his other hand, the movement awkward as he hand to stretch across his chest to do so. “But we wanted to walk with you today, anyway. Because we missed you so much.”

“I didn’t know by walking, you meant borderline carrying,” I joked as I turned from Evan to Axel. “And you’re completely fine with this?”

He shrugged, not looking at me as he continued to walk straight. I rolled my eyes at the man’s strange behavior, chalking it up to Axel just being Axel.

The past few days were strange on me, both my mind and my body, and the girls had tried to help as much as they could.
