Chapter 178: A Heartbroken Woman’s Fangs

Tara’s POV

The next day wrought more pain than the previous one. Despite the conversation I had with Axel and Victor the night before, all I could think about was the look of the moon.

I had dreamt of it that night as well—however, unlike nights prior, I didn’t dream of anyone. The flamed woman and the golden women were strangers to me—they had been ever since I started takng the potion that Jack created. But now, the dreams were coming back.

The moon shone above me like a wide, unblinking eye, as though there were someone else out there that was gazing down upon me, someone I had not yet met. Someone who had known of me since ages ago.

I tried to shake the dream away when I woke up that morning, but while eating breakfast with the triplets, I was silent, unable to get it out of my mind. And then Axel’s words came back to me as we left the kitchen dining area and I groaned in frusturation. Kia noticed and turned to look at me, her eyebrow raised.

“What’s wrong with you?”
