An Awkward Outing

Arriving back at the house, I greeted Raya and Fleur and told them about my plans to go shopping. It seems they had both already bought their gear earlier after they left me behind in Vivienne's room. When I mentioned how I was thinking of bringing Luna a long, Fleur tried insisting that I bring her instead.

"Why her? bring me! bring me! bring meee!" She cried. Fleur was basically throwing a tantrum at this point like a spoiled child.

"No"

"Why is my husband always so cold to me? Do you really hate me that much Rune?"

". . ."

"Please?"

"No. Also who says I'm your husband?!" Hearing my clear refusal, the spoiled bunny hopped up on my back and began clinging to me like she usually does.

"Moh, bring me with you!" Realizing I wasn't going to give in to her demands, she bit my shoulder from atop my back.

*Chomp*

"Ow! what was that for?"

"For being a meanie.."

*sigh*

"Fine. be a good girl and wait here. If you do I promise to do something with you, just the two of us." At that point Fleur's demeanor instantly changed. she hopped off my back, acting calm as if her outburst had never happened. I squinted my eyes at her.

'This girl, did she just trick me?' I heard those two were friends. I don't think Fleur was actually upset about me going with Luna and I suspect she just wants to have her own time with me as well.

"What?" she said to me with her trademark grin.

"Don't try and act all innocent."

"I don't know what you mean~"

I decided to ignore the cheeky rabbit and turned my attention to Raya. She gave me a knowing smile and told me to take good care of Luna. That is all well and good, but who is to say she would even agree to accompany me?

Reaching Luna's room I knocked on her door.

"What do you want?" Luna said, shooting me a glare.

"Why don't you come out shopping with me. I was just going out to buy my gear."

"Why would I want to do that?"

"Well, have you gotten everything that you need?" I had a suspicion that she didn't get her things yet. Raya told me how she has been distant and didn't leave her room very much. Surely she wouldn't be so irresponsible as to not buy any of her things until now though right? right?!

Sadly it turned out to be true. Luna averted her gaze in embarrassment. "I still have time. . . I just haven't got around to it yet."

'Still have time?! What do you mean? Classes start tomorrow!'

". . ."

"Hmph. I guess I could let you accompany me." she said, turning her head away. I turned to walk away thinking she would follow me, but instead she called out.

"Where are you going?"

"To the front door? we are going shopping right? I can't teleport yet either."

*sigh*

"You're hopeless. Give me your holo-plate." I looked at her in confusion for a moment.

"Jeeze, Just give it here!" Doing what she asked, I handed it to her and she pulled up the screen and fiddled with it for a bit before handing it back.

"There its set to follow now." Obviously I didn't know what that meant which just caused her more irritation. She explained that the teleport has a follow function built in for convenience when traveling in groups. A single person can teleport people with them as long as they are registered in each others contacts.

Luna brought out her own holo-plate after that and teleported me along with her. We stopped off at various places along the way, and she gave me time to register all the destinations. It seems she did not completely shut herself in and at least made sure to register her own.

Or not..

When I mentioned it to her, she said that it was actually Raya that did it for her. I'm starting to realize that her confidence issues are more serious than I thought. I noticed while we were walking together that she kept glancing in my direction, sometimes even outright staring at me when she thought I was not paying attention. Every time I looked back she would turn away, and I would also notice a hint of blush on her face.

'She treats me coldly but then acts like this. Is she actually just a tsundere?'

We reached our destination at this point and we were now standing inside the Grand Kaiser Emporium. A massive, warehouse-like building with a metallic interior that worked like an automated shop. This is where students would come to buy anything they needed. Food, clothing, weapons, they have it all. Stations are lined up in front of large holo-screens, and all one needs to do is place their holo-plate on top of it and choose what they would like to buy. After picking what you want, a panel on the floor would open up and capsule containing your purchased item would appear.
